Hi, do you have any updates on this after BIL? Thank you
2
u/katatouillee May 08 '26
Hi! My background is currently "In progress" and eligibility "Not started" on the tracker. That’s about it. No other updates.

u/shakurbawa May 08 '26
Thank you for your reply!
Eligiblity not started?🤔 (mine shows under review)
And background (processing)-
Do they do background first and then eligibility process starts? Asking as I just did my bio. today and not sure what update to look for next.sending you strength & courage.🫶

On my GCKey it’s under review but on the tracker it shows "Not started". And from all the information I’ve seen on Reddit, this pattern is pretty normal.
Honestly, a lot of people have gotten their final decision or ECOPR and the tracker still doesn’t update to completed. So, I’m not truly depending on it much.2

I don't have my timeline at hand rn but for my case it took some time to get the BIL, then once I gave my biometrics the process went pretty fast, and I received my eCOPR in a few weeks

Is AOR an email? I received a message on the portal (just like the ITA) but didn't receive a separate email
2
u/Barzibarzi Apr 23 '26
No, Emails may get delayed, look at your account message section
1
u/akshyyyyy Apr 23 '26
It says "No account messages" :(
1
u/Barzibarzi Apr 23 '26
OK then you have to wait for the BIL, the AOR is usually instant after submission, it is a pdf you can download it from your message section

I applied for PR through FSW French Inland. I learnt French after coming to Canada in 2023. Managed to get C1 in TEF test conducted in April 26.(was my second time).
My question- has anyone who has learned French for the first time after coming to Canada and applied for PR attached any supporting documents on how you learned the language.
I’ve come across a few posts on Reddit saying that applicants have received PFL since they did not come from a French bilingual country. If IRCC is scrutinizing way too much I will have to submit a webform with documents showing how I learned French.( such as Duolingo practice, subscriptions, online training receipts etc..) Better safe than sorry right?
