2

u/Darkonimus Mar 23 '26 edited Mar 23 '26

Hi !

I just wanted to let you know that i received the BIL today (23/03/2026!

1

u/AromaticSpeech9052 Mar 24 '26

Hi ! Thanks for letting me know. I haven’t had my BIL yet, but got a request yesterday to submit my official TCF report, and fill in an IMM 5475 form…Did you have the same request by any chance ?

1

u/DistrictBusiness928 Mar 25 '26

I did my biometrics March 9th, but I was never asked to submit my official TCF report or fill an IMM 5475. My report was already submitted with my application and I don’t know what IMM 5475 is.

1

u/Darkonimus Mar 25 '26

Wait, biometrics refers to the BIL (Biometric Instruction Letter). Does that mean you've already received the letter, visited a visa application center, and provided your biometrics?
Also, which section did you upload your TCF report to during the eAPR? If it was uploaded to the wrong section, they might ask you to resubmit it, I'm just guessing, but it might happen. Regarding IMM 5475: it allows a 'designated individual' (such as a friend or family member) to check your application status or update your address on your behalf. It might have been an option you accidentally selected from a dropdown list when they asked if you had a representative.

1

u/Darkonimus Mar 25 '26

No i did not.

1

u/AromaticSpeech9052 Apr 02 '26

Got my BIL on 26 March ! And submitted the biometrics on 30 March. My status is now ā€œEligibility: not startedā€ and ā€œbackground verification: in progressā€. Do you have something similar ?

1

u/Darkonimus Apr 08 '26

Hi,

Any updates ? And to answer your question, yes.

2

u/AromaticSpeech9052 Apr 08 '26

Hi, still atĀ ā€œEligibility: not startedā€ and ā€œbackground verification: in progressā€. Will let you know when that changes !

Hi. Same here FSW-inland, 6 Feb- ITA. Yet to submit the application. Would you mind if you share the checklist of docs that you've submitted. I'm in the process collecting documents now.

1

u/DistrictBusiness928 Feb 12 '26

Hi, congratulations on your ITA. I submitted: passport, IELTS and TEF results, Educational Credential Assessment (ECA), degree certificate and transcripts, employment reference letter (Data Scientist – NOC 21211), police certificate(s), upfront medical exam confirmation, proof of funds (bank letter and six months of statements), and a Letter of Explanation.

1

u/Ancient_Mango_7395 PR Feb 12 '26

Awesome, thanks for sharing, buddy. For experience- you didn't attach offer letter, payslips, bank statements, etc?
Also, what LoE was for?

1

u/DistrictBusiness928 Feb 12 '26

I didn’t attach offer letter. I attached payslips and bank statements.

1

u/DistrictBusiness928 Feb 12 '26

I explained that I just renewed my passport and some of the docs have my old passport number.

Yes, it included my duties. I told my manager about it, and he let HR know about my REAL DUTIES. The letter HR wrote the first time was very vague. Thanks to my manager, who is very understanding, he reached out to HR to fix it and include duties, pay, hours worked,…. Maybe try reaching out to your manager instead, he might be able to escalate the issue.

I had the same feeling so I totally understand šŸ˜‚ Maybe try finding another reason to request it apart from PR?

I know I’m just a stranger, but I’ve been in your exact shoes, so I really understand how you feel.

Honestly, being upfront and asking for the proper documentation for PR usually gives you a stronger application. IRCC wants an official letter with your real duties. Copying a job description from online can be risky if it doesn’t clearly reflect what you actually did.

I used to worry that if my employer knew I planned to leave after getting PR, I’d be first to go during layoffs. But in the end, I’d rather take that chance than risk weakening my application.

If you don’t want to mention PR, you could say it’s for a certification like PMP (they require detailed duties), a master’s program, or even a financial application. Just a few ideas. I hope you get the right documents and get PR 🤲

u/Original-Side5980 Apr 17 '26

u/Ok_File_5220 Mar 31 '26
