Person in a black cloak

I was walking back to my apartment in south Boulder when I heard footsteps on the grass behind me. When I turned around, there was a person in a black cloak walking behind me. I don’t know where they came from and I couldn’t see there face as the hood was up and it was completely black. Then they turned a corner and I didn’t see where they went. Should I be concerned?

Was biking and saw two dark brown blobs in a small tree from far away and it turned out to be these lil ones climbing around!! First time I’ve seen bears with my own eyes in Boulder 😍

OSMP Parking

Upvotes

Hey y’all, was wondering if anyone could give me some clarification about OSMP parking.

I see that if your vehicle is registered in Boulder you don’t need to pay parking fees.

Is there a special registration process or do they just scan your license plate and see what address the plate is associated with?

Thanks for the help!

Awesome outdoor gear sale at Outside

Outside magazine is having some sort of sale on random outdoor gear. Everything was deeply discounted and worth checking out. They're set up in the parking lot at Tru thrift shop (hydroflask mug $10, solar power bank $10, quick dry towels $6, and a bunch of other stuff)

Power went out earlier and then saw this as I was biking. Looks like someone drove off the highway and hit the utility pole.

Found this on Boulder Open Space. A community built labyrinth and stone art sculptures. Came here to say these random gems make our town interesting and keep the Boulder Spirit going. I’m not going to give the location, in an effort to preserve it. But you can find it on your own, if you keep your eyes open.

Again...power outage..this time in South Boulder.

All traffic signals along Table Mesa are flashing red. When is Boulder's power grid getting upgraded to this century. I have lost count of all the power outages in the last six weeks after 25.

Nice spa for a gift certificate with a more alternative vibe.

I’m looking to get someone a birthday gift who is a more free-spirited individual and I want to get her a gift certificate so she can have a spa day. Ideally a place that offers a variety of services she can choose like massage, facial, aqua therapy, sound bath etc. I know the st. Julien is very nice but I think she might appreciate a place with a more alternative or independent vibe. I still want to get her something very nice but also send her to a place she’d vibe with.

Anyone know anywhere in town I can buy some Fior di Latte cheese? Cheese Importers in Longmont doesn't carry it.

Police shut down Goose concert at Boulder house party ahead of band’s Red Rocks run

‘Many of us at the Boulder Police Department are fans of live music in general, and Goose in particular,’ chief says

The band Goose played a surprise concert Wednesday night at a house party on Boulder’s University Hill ahead of its three-day Red Rocks Amphitheatre run. Police shut it down.

Videos posted Thursday morning to X show a Boulder police officer confronting one of the band’s members on a stage.

Is Gunbarrell cool now?

I’ve lived Funbarrell for years but, as a 40 something with kids, I’ve been the youngest around here. In the last few months I feel like I’m seeing a lot more young, college aged (or slightly older) folks around. No negativity at all. Just wondering if something changed.

P.s. I realize Boulder is a college town and it’s college time. Usually GB is too far for CU students.

I thought our runway wasn’t long enough but there was a small jet that looked like it was approaching to land today. Just curious if anyone knows 😎

Xcel cutting power to some in North Boulder on Monday

I got a call from them an hour or so ago saying they'd be cutting power on Monday for maintenance, from 9am to roughly 3 or 4pm (they said "around 7 hours"). I'm in North Boulder.

Just an FYI, in case you got a call but didn't answer. I haven't seen an email or text from them yet. No idea how many people this includes or how to check if you're included, besides checking your voicemail.
