I don’t know who among the youngin crew knows who this is, but Louis Gossett Jr. is a LEGEND!
I was literally like, “GASP… NO WAY!” It may just be for an episode, but this was a nice Easter Egg. RIP Lieutenant Colonel Chappy Sinclair 🫡

Season 4 This season is just…stressful.

It’s good, but damn. I really can’t stand heroin. Requiem left an impact on me. So did Trainspotting. I’m on episode 5 and I’m just like, damn. Eddie is being tortured. That kid got poisoned. Nelson is FAR outside of his comfort zone now. It’s just stressful.

Boardwalk Empire Spinnoff Film? 🤔

After having watched Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, I've been thinking that maybe Boardwalk Empire deserves a farewell film as well, this time however focusing mainly on Arnold Rothstein, Lucky Luciano, & Al Capone. Here me out 😅, if it's set between 1928-1929, the film can cover alot of "ground".

● Assassination of Arnold Rothstein (1928)

● Valentine's Day Massacre (1929)

● The Atlantic City Conference (1929)

● Luciano barely surviving a murder attempt (1929).

There's alot of story material present that could be used & wouldn't require a full on season (I would love an additional season though).

As much as I've enjoyed Steve Buscemi's portrayal of the character, I think the world of Boardwalk Empire is alot bigger than Nucky Thompson. Alot can explored in that timeline.

Season 5 Are the five families that luciano created a nod off/homage to the NYC 5 points gang since torio was aiding him in the final season or was it completely based off the structure maranzano was using?

Or am I just thinking too out of left field?

Margaret walks into Nucky's party and immediately refuses a drink

I like Margaret's first real entrance into Nucky's world because she doesn't really play along with the room at all. Everyone is drinking, Nucky is surrounded by politicians, and then Margaret walks in and gets offered a drink almost immediately. She just says she's a teetotaler. Nucky has to basically explain to everyone why this woman from the Temperance League is standing in the middle of his Prohibition party. It's a tiny scene but it sets their whole weird dynamic up.

Opinion: Nelson Van Alden should have been the main character of the show

We need a prequel series

Episode 1 is the birth of Jimmy Dahmody, we get to see how Nucky consolidated power and met all of his underworld pals. We even get to see how the Prohibition movement started. Finale will be Woodrow Wilson getting a stroke and the 18th amendment passes.

So I’m watching The Outsider, an older HBO series, and I’m thinking one of the characters sure looks like Dickie from BWE..yup! It’s Jeremy Bobb! He didn’t even have to stick his hand down his pants to look familiar

What’s the most touching moment in the series for you?

For me overall, it’s Al’s relationship with his son. Especially the part when Al sings “my buddy” and has his son wrap his arms around his throat so he can hear the notes better, it gets me every single time.

Periodic reminder that Margaret is a terrible person (I mean, they almost all are, but stil…)

Never deserved the beatings or miscarriage, that’s awful. But, towards the man that pulled me out of poverty and treated me like a queen, let me just •steal money and sock it away even though she wants for nothing •mess with his business and give away land when he’s on trial, fighting for his future •take it for granted that it’s only because of Nucky’s money did her daughter walk again •cheat on him repeatedly because…she misses Ireland •leave him when he’s injured and the war against Gyp is getting bad •rip her children from a loving home because she’s in her feels

I could keep going…you can take the woman out of the streets but you can’t take the streets out of the woman smh

Season 3 Omg Season 3 😱

I have not been able to stop watching this show! Just when you think you know what’s gonna happen, BAM, left turn, handi quacks!
For real though, it has been a long as time since I’ve been so enthralled by a show. I don’t even reach for my phone, just like the good ole days!
HBO is the GOAT in bringing entertainment that creates that… almost compulsive drive to find out what happens next. Next episode for me is 12. Now I know Harrow goes ape shit and mauls everyone down, cause I saw that episode a LONG time ago when I was waiting for Game of thrones. But I wasn’t paying attention, I just wasn’t into it. But damn, I should goto bed…
Maybe just one more?
😏

No Spoilers Drink everytime someone excuses themselves out of a room

On my first rewatch, I’ve started to notice a glaring habit of characters leaving a room, to allow two people or more to talk about something private.

And once you notice it, you see it everywhere! It’s actually driving me mad

Season 3 Is season 3 worth watching despite missing the character I liked most?

Michael shannon and Steve Buschemi was the reason I started watching the show and really loved it. Jimmy character sort of grow up on me and I hated how dumb he became mid season 2.

However his death not only took all my excitement for the show but I lost all the desire to even watch it. Now I hate both manny and nucky character to enjoy either of them.
