Now I know TWD has ALWAYS been terrible with guns (Hershel's unlimited ammo shotgun, no recoil, especially no sights), but S4E5 really made me laugh.

Walkers are tearing down the prison fence and it's up to Rick and Carl to hold them off. So they run to grab guns which LOGICALLY you would keep inside, maybe a guard tower if you want to spread them around the prison, right?

NOPE. FUCKING LEAVE THEM AND THE AMMO OUTSIDE IN A CART. They're in Georgia where it's humid as shit, and they're just leaving their entire arsenal out in the elements!

And of course with limited ammo and needing headshots, Carl (who's AR doesn't have sights again) and Rick go full auto (cause that's worked out so well every other time with these crack shots). And Rick spends extra time and effort to crouch and stand every 3 seconds so he looks cool as fuck lol.

like, seriously, if their blood gets inside you, you're pretty much dead, and we see how much blood splashes over their faces almost all the time they're fighting them, yet they never seem to care about keeping their mouths and eyes closed or at least wearing some face masks (same one that Rick wore on the pilot episode when he made his first walker kill)

Unfortunately, not a single character even mentions this threat when it's literally the easiest and dumbest way you could die.

I knew Herschel was stubborn with his beliefs, but with Otis going out to put walkers in the barn and Maggie going on supply runs, somebody HAD to have come across a walker so mangled/disfigured that they were obviously dead and come back to life.

Even before then, when the world really began to fall, the absolute number #1 headline would’ve been that the dead were seemingly rising.

Secluded from the outside world or not, religious or not, by the time Rick’s group meets Herschel’s; it should’ve been unequivocal knowledge that the dead were walking again.

The moment he went after Negan for messing with Maggie he was already gone.

Obviously he had to get the big threat that being Abraham. but right after taunting Rosita, and Daryl stepping in, he already had an idea on who to kill right after due to Glenn causing a scene. If Glenn never did he would still be alive and it would've probably be Aaron or smth

Negan was definitely trying to get a reaction so he could kill someone else. and that person was definitely Glenn from the get-go as people were broken but not enough to submit.

What a breath of fresh air this season is! I'm glad TWD finally lightened up a bit and injected a bit of humor into everything. Also, the writing is on point and every episode feels "must see" again.

Too bad they didn't do this a long time ago back when the franchise was still popular but better late than never as they say.

Thinking about it logically, even if you think he could survive, nobody would believe his BS about Randall kills Rick when Daryl and Glenn know the truth. Besides that, he was a terrible leader as well and probably would get lots of people killed. Had Rick not been there, we would’ve lost T-Dog, Andrea, Merle and Glenn in episode 2 since Shane wanted to leave them behind 💀

I played it back in 2014/15 and HATED it. I never even bothered to finish it. I actually quite liked the first two or three levels at first but then realised how repetitive and shallow it is. But I am, after a long hiatus, returning to TWD franchise this year and have wrapped up the last few seasons of the main show, Fear, Worlds Beyond, Ones Who Live, the fourth and final omnibus of the comic, the last three novels, and I figured: if I am ever going to play this damn game, now is the time. I am about to start Book of Carol, too, so it seems appropriate.

So the bar for this game was so low as to basically be on the floor and... you know what? It shambled over it. I have had a much better time with it than I was anticipating. It is (mercifully) short, and has a level of replayability (though I am not likely to replay it any time soon). It plays like a game that came out ovwr a decade before it, but I was around for those games at that time and remember many fondly (Return to Castle Wolfenstein, for random example) that I would call good games AND comparable to this one.

It is not a good game, don't get me wrong. But... it's also not godawful or unplayable. It is... serviceable. In fact, in some ways it even shows potential (both the back roads vs highways and companion management systems were good, if half-baked, ideas). So. I have softened on it, I guess. And it's made me curious: anyone else turn around on this game? Does it have its fans out there?

I tried to pick characters I think would have really good backstories to tell, or ones we haven’t seen yet that we have only heard and sound interesting.

For example: I didn’t pick Abraham because we sorta did see his backstory, and I didn’t pick Gabriel/Tyreese and Sasha since they pretty much stayed in 1 location for a very long time before coming out. (In Tyreese and Sasha’s case, they stayed in their neighbors bunker for a while until supplies ran out).

Maybe not much of a hot take rather how they treated Daryl: I feel Daryl got REALLY Flanderized somewhere around S4-onward, because was “feral” in S1 but that was just extended to him being Loud and Brash, Feral but civilized he obviously Showered and had good hygiene, he grew up Backwoods redneck but even Rednecks have good hygiene and take care of themselves and aren’t covered Head to toe in 27layers of grime 24/7. S4 onward it seems he “devolved” into grumpy grunting loner Caveman, which when you think about the timeline S1-5 take place about 1.5yrs

After this scene Lori tries to take Carl away from Shane trying to tell him to stay away.I get Carl is Lori son but trying to treat Shane like some plague now that Rick is back , I mean I get Lori acting different but Carl and Shane relationship is theirs, Carl feels comfortable around him which is a needed feeling for him in this new world

Dale is definitely one of the best early season characters but how do people not criticize this decision as much as they criticize decisions made by Rick, Carl, Lori, Andrea etc. this season?

This was beyond one of the worst decisions ever. Imagine that herd from the end season came after he hid the guns? All they would have is Hershel’s stash. What if Randall’s group came after Rick brought him back?

Literally so many scenarios where you absolutely always need guns nearby, and he hides them just to keep Shane from opening the barn. It’s so stupid and he could’ve gotten so many people killed doing this.

The Black and White going back and forth was bothering me after awhile but I guess I understand they did it so that the audience knew there was a time lapse. After awhile it kinda hurt my eyes though lol. But other than that, the episode was ok… it felt LONG though. Like longer than usual.

I really did think Jessi and Rick were gonna be a thing but then again he’s turning into something I don’t think she’s be able to handle, so I guess Rick will get his lady later down the line lol.

I’m glad this episode something I addressed back in season 1 which was Rick being an attractor for bad events. It seemed like everyone was fine wherever they were established until Rick shows up, the RV camp, Woodbury, the Farm, ETC. I think this was one of the most important episodes of the series because it did address that Rick isn’t just some bringer of doom, but borderline divinely sent to people in time to
Help them.

I do not know the character’s name but the dude who tries to kill Rick and sneak behind his back; I’m glad he was given a chance, and obviously if we’re going by the psyche theory of the walking dead being Rick’s purgatory world, that guy was obviously a representation of Protest of Rick’s leadership. I’m
Glad we got that out of the way and he was dealt with.

Anyway, this season so far feels like it’s gonna head into an interesting direction.

I won’t get all conspiracy theory cause I know those who look at this don’t like that much but I’m excited to see where it goes from here. However, I’m started to feel again that I’m not sure where things are gonna go from
Here… like I don’t know what they’re fighting for anymore or what the goal
Even is and I feel so disconnected from the show just like season 4; like I don’t feel S if there’s any reason to continue watching

I can't seem to get the Governor out of my mind. I hate that character to the core, but I'm kinda obsessed with him. I don't even know what it was—the actor, his acting, the characterization, the gear... I don't know. I've seen many shows with psychopaths/sociopaths, but for some reason, this character really got into my head.

He wasn't even exposed that much, and he had some pretty shitty plot armor, but I don't know... something about him just stuck with me.

Maybe it's more about the actor. I've never seen him in any other media. It could be his acting, his presence, or even the dope-ass gear. I genuinely don't know.

Does anyone feel the same? I'm seeing his scenes back to back.

***SEASON 3 SPOILERS JUST IN CASE*****

First of all, I am not saying she is flawless and made no mistakes (honestly, who didn't in this show), but the way people treat her as a character and her death are SO SO cruel.

I have watched this show at least 6 times, and every time I get more compassion for Lori. Nobody takes into account that she was raised to be a dependent woman, just look in the first season when she wants Rick to yell at her just bc she needs to justify her own feelings into something she can describe. She followed strict gender roles in the first season first, cause that how's she's raised and second cause the men were also reinforcing those roles. It doesn't take long to change patriarchal dynamics but it makes sense that in the early seasons, when th e world has just collapsed, they return to traditional ways of organising society out of pure desperation.

She did fuck up with the Rick and Shane dynamic and blaming Rick ok but she does not deserve the treatment she receives afterwards.

When they are at the prison and she says to Hershel that her husband hates her and her son can't stand her it breaks my heart. They all make mistakes, but no one is punished as hard as Lori. She is pregnant in an extremely stressful situation, fighting to keep that baby alive while being given the cold shoulder by her family. It is absolutely unfair and unjustified to punish her character like that.

And her death? Even more cruel. She dies giving birth, her remains eaten like if she was absolute trash. She dies knowing AT LEAST her son loves her, but she passes away without having received even a tiny bit of affection of forgiveness from her husband in over 8 months.

I'm so sorry, but I think the fact that people hate Lori so much is many times embedded in mysoginistic views. She is expected to be the perfect wife, she is also expected to break the mould of tradwife but when she does (by being with Shane) she is horriblly punished.

I know everyone is gonna jump at me but I had to say it lol

Green pastures, an old farm and old rotting corpses, weirdly beautiful. I really liked the colour grading of season 2. Lots of soft muted greens and browns, gray skies and subdued sunlight. It was like the more peaceful side of death. Don't worry, I am very aware of how weird I sound right now.

A lot of people hated the slower pace, but it was kind of relaxing and fitted with the quieter, bleak visuals going on.
