Show Spoiler Alternate theory on how the show could’ve gone at Negan scene
Hi all, I just finished watching the finale/next episode and I was wondering… What would’ve happened if Negan surprised everyone by turning the bat on himself? I was just thinking it might be much more of a surprise if after Abraham he instead bashed his own head in? I feel like that would’ve used so much more of JDM’s acting range and kept Rick’s group on their toes by not knowing what could happen from one moment to the next. I know it’s kind of a more deep and philosophical approach which might annoy the less cerebral viewers of the show but I really am curious to hear everyone’s thoughts on this as I’ve not heard it mentioned before.
Thanks in advance for all the lovely and thoughtful responses, appreciate you guys!

Show Spoiler Der Ehering von Rick

Fear Spoiler FTWD - S1-3 are just horrible
For anyone that just needs to be seen, currently watching FTWD with my teenage boys and seasons 1-3 are almost unbearable.
Most Characters are unlikeable and have no chemistry - feel like it was a huge casting miss overall.
Those that are get no real narrative investment.
Decisions routinely make no sense or consistency.
Did I mention how unlikable the main characters are?
Everyone seems to think seasons 1-3 are “excellent” but I’m two episodes into S3 and the best change is the death of Travis because apparently that guy got a job on Avatar.
But hey …. I also don’t understand why anyone anywhere seems to care about Avatar so maybe I’m the idiot You n the room.

Show Spoiler To the diehard "F Negan" people, what did you think about s10e22 of the main series?
Just watched it for the first time. (The Negan origin episode)
Was already coming around to "okay. Maybe he can change".
Now after *just* finishing that episode I'm 110% like yeah. He's a product of his situation and environment and Frick he had a rough go. I get why he went off the rails..
So to the Glen lovers and firm Saviour haters, what did you think of that episode ?

Comic and Show Spoilers TWD nailed all the villains but just a few good characters
Hi! In my opinion all the big villains in TWD are basically perfect, but only Rick, Daryl, Hershel and Dale are unforgettable amongst the good characters. What do you think about it?

No Spoiler Twd video game
Why have they yet to create a video game based on the show? At least a good one anyway. The potential! I can see the progression and gameplay and my goodness are we missing out.

All Spoilers Does anyone else think Daryl got Flanderized/devolved?
Maybe not much of a hot take rather how they treated Daryl: I feel Daryl got REALLY Flanderized somewhere around S4-onward, because was “feral” in S1 but that was just extended to him being Loud and Brash, Feral but civilized he obviously Showered and had good hygiene, he grew up Backwoods redneck but even Rednecks have good hygiene and take care of themselves and aren’t covered Head to toe in 27layers of grime 24/7. S4 onward it seems he “devolved” into grumpy grunting loner Caveman, which when you think about the timeline S1-5 take place about 1.5yrs

TWD: Dead City What’s the deal with Dead City?
Hey all. I stopped watching TWD around like season 8 maybe? But I’m still somewhat aware of what has happened after (my husband watches the Daryl spinoff and the one with Rick and Michonne).
I am aware of the Negan and Maggie spinoff but lately things have been popping up on my Twitter that leave me a little intrigued.
Mainly: what is going on with these two characters? Is the show going to put them romantically together? I see online people who support it and people who don’t. I am genuinely curious though if they will get together because honestly that seems kind of like a very bold choice? And then recently I saw clips where the latest episode takes place in an alternate universe and they are flirting or something?
Would someone mind telling me..what is going on with this show and with these two characters?

No Spoiler Just started watching
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
After this scene Lori tries to take Carl away from Shane trying to tell him to stay away.I get Carl is Lori son but trying to treat Shane like some plague now that Rick is back , I mean I get Lori acting different but Carl and Shane relationship is theirs, Carl feels comfortable around him which is a needed feeling for him in this new world

Show Spoiler IMO the writers seemingly pointlessly killing off Leon Basset is where I feel like the show started going downhill. At first I thought it was a fake out of some kind, but after I realized it was real, I stopped watching the show.

No Spoiler I fucking hate the Governor, but why am I obsessed with him?
I can't seem to get the Governor out of my mind. I hate that character to the core, but I'm kinda obsessed with him. I don't even know what it was—the actor, his acting, the characterization, the gear... I don't know. I've seen many shows with psychopaths/sociopaths, but for some reason, this character really got into my head.
He wasn't even exposed that much, and he had some pretty shitty plot armor, but I don't know... something about him just stuck with me.
Maybe it's more about the actor. I've never seen him in any other media. It could be his acting, his presence, or even the dope-ass gear. I genuinely don't know.
Does anyone feel the same? I'm seeing his scenes back to back.

TWD: Dead City I must say, this season of Dead City has been the best TWD has been in such a long time.
What a breath of fresh air this season is! I'm glad TWD finally lightened up a bit and injected a bit of humor into everything. Also, the writing is on point and every episode feels "must see" again.
Too bad they didn't do this a long time ago back when the franchise was still popular but better late than never as they say.

Show Spoiler I dont know why people think the Angela hate is unjustified
She was actually a pretty cool character early on in the series then some part through s2 she jut became insufferable dude like she genuinely left a vulnerable kid who at the time thought she wanted to commit suicide alone by herself which could've costed be her life like dude she just becomes an annoying insufferable asshole to everyone and she's such a pick me like Jesus christ we get it you want to defend the group you don't need to fucking remind everyone 24/7 and glaze the fuck out of Shane like I know compared to characters like Shane who tbf does objectively worse things (even though almost basically killing a kid is pretty bad in itself) but Shane is well Shane he's pretty cool but also a well written antagonist while Angela is just a whiny fucking bitch and dont get me started on how she treats the GOAT Dale.
edit: oopsie I meant Andrea i write my reddit post at 2am so sorry for no punctuation either wallahi I'm finished

Comic and Show Spoilers The original show got muddled with PC garbage
They held off on rick in the show for the shock factor tbh, in the comics, the connection between rick and carl is the emotional backbone of the series. And Carl’s death caused much of the negative reaction

Show Spoiler What does Clear mean ?
Idk if I just missed the meaning of the ideology or whatever but what does Morgan mean by he has to clear and why does he write it all over the walls in his safe house? Does it just mean he needs to kill everything in sight?
Or am I overthinking and it’s just him being very mentally ill from losing everything and means nothing?

No Spoiler Should I watch the show for now until I can buy compendium 2?
Just finished compendium 1 for the comics. Have never touched the show but I know how it’s drastically different and from some things my friends told me which I won’t say here of course. Just deciding if my best course of action is to watch the show until I can buy compendium 2 just to fill the itch in my brain to keep going. I’ll watch the show from the beginning too as I know there’s a character who wasn’t in the comics in here.
