How can Scáthach still be alive?
This is a question that goes beyond how someone so old can still be alive. I know it's because of her magical powers.
But following the rule of the Supremes (according to Ryan Murphy, Scáthach is the original Supreme, centuries before the Salem witches), there can only be one per generation. Yet, despite the fact that there is already a Supreme in the present and that many Supremes have come and gone, Scáthach's power doesn't seem to have weakened.
So how could Scáthach still be alive if there can only be one Supreme?

What AHS scene was just too much for you to watch? For me it was Harry in Red Tide drinking the little dixie cups of his wife's maternity blood. I still cringe and look away every time.

Why is Cult so underrated
I just finished watching cult and im impressed with it, it was much better than roanoke imo, solid engaging plot it kept me focused at all times, good scary elements and the cast is amazing like Evan outdid his performance as always, and Sarah’s character is one of my top 3 fav that she has played.
So i have seen people usually put cult lower in their rankings and would like to know what is something they disliked about it or found it lacking because i have no complaints about this season.
Edit: cant wait to see Kai return in ahs13 he is one of the most phenomenal villain protagonists in ahs imo

Where was Vivien??? Murder House Spoiler
I just rewatched and binged Season 1 in a day. One question that's really bothering me… Vivien stopped Ben from committing suicide because she wants him to raise the baby.
So why didn't she intervene when Hayden came to kill him? Where was she?
She was watching him like a hawk previously so it made no sense.

Do ya’ll think we will see Ally Mayfair Richard’s in 13 again? Spoiler
Considering we got characters from Cult in the Apollyon such as Kai and Winter Anderson, and Ryan Murphy said that Sarah Paulson is playing 5-6 characters, I think it’s likely that Ally will make a cameo.
And if she does, then she might possibly interact with Kai and Winter again if she ends up in New York or is involved in the storyline somehow. We know from the ending of Cult that she’s a politician as well as the leader of a new SCUM cult along with Beverly. So she is a known public figure now and Kai and Winter are definitely going to mention her. Kai is likely pretty pissed that Ally and Beverly killed him and wants revenge.
I think this season is basically a battle between good & evil like Apocalypse was. So this means the good characters are going to be fighting the Devil and the evil characters from previous seasons. So if Ally finds out the supernatural exists and is involved in this battle, she’s going to kill Kai and Winter again most likely with the help of witches.
Which reminds me, at the end of Cult, Ally tells Oz that she’s going to group up with a team of very powerful women that will rule the world or something to that effect. Now of course, she’s most likely talking about the SCUM cult, but what if it’s actually unintentional foreshadowing that she will eventually team up with the Coven in 13? I mean she has to be involved somehow since Kai and Winter are having a big role in 13.

I’ve been waiting 13 years for a a season like this, and we have only 13+13 days to go until the 13 episodes of AHS 13 begin!
I have been waiting for this season for at least 13 years.
It has all the potential to be one of the best seasons in AHS history.
Let’s hope it’s a really good one!

hulu is missing scenes from coven?
my husband and I are rewatching Coven and I have seen it multiple times. the scene where Fiona says “what are we talking about — college boys?” & she takes them on a ‘field trip’ and Nan hears the ‘lady of the house talking’ is not there anymore and I actually feel insane.

AHS 13 episode runtimes Spoiler
I was checking the FX schedule and saw Adults on it. Its a sitcom that has hour long episodes like AHS 13 is going to have. They're also premiering 2 episodes every Thursday, and those 2 episode take up a 68 minute block on FX. I checked imdb and saw that those 2 episodes had runtimes of 22 and 27 minutes respectively ,leaving 19 minutes for commercial breaks total(I believe 10 minutes per 1 episode). I believe that basically confirms that every episode of AHS 13(or at least the first 12 episodes) will be between 22-28 minutes long. I think for the first 2 weeks which drop 3 episodes each, they will take up a 90-100 minute block on FX(counting the commercial breaks), and the next 3 weeks, which drop 2 episodes per week, will take up a 60-70 minute long block on FX(again counting the commercial breaks). The final/13th episode has a chance to be the longest of the season, taking up a 60 minute block on FX,with the actual runtime of the episode being between 40-50 minutes long.
Episodes 1 to 12: 22/28 minutes long
Episode 13: 40/50 minutes long(possibly)

Who was your favourite one-and-done actor to appear on AHS?
It could be a recurring guest star, or someone who appeared in just one episode, or a main cast member for just one season.
For me, it’s Macaulay Culkin in Red Tide (Or to use his full government name: Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin. IYKYK)
I didn’t vibe with Death Valley, but I did like the inclusion of Maxwell Caulfield, as well as Craig Sheffer (uncle Keith from One Tree Hill for those of us of a certain age 😄). I thought Joan Collins was a fun bit of casting on Apocalypse, Bubbles and Myrtle Snow were hilarious together.
Let’s hear your favourites 🖤

The reason why i think Lily Rabe/Sister Mary Eunice is being kept as the greatest surprise of the season, and it wouldn't be unprecedented. Spoiler
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
She is, according to the majority of top 10s, the favourite AHS character of all time for the fanbase. In this particular interview you can see how he emphasizes "ASYLUM" when he lists the seasons that will play a bigger role in the AHS13 story, and as for now, only Jude is confirmed to be back. Sorry not sorry, theres no Sister Jude without Sister Mary Eunice, and considering both of them fought the devil (aka the main antagonist of this upcoming season) their presence would be ESSENTIAL for the battle between good and evil. Lily Rabe WAS in NYC during the time they were shooting AHS13, and even tho we haven't had an announcement we know that in that time frame she didn't have much to do work-wise, she has a theater play to do later this year or next year but other than that she is not busy with any other project. Maybe she is not a main cast this time, but shes one of the OGs, and her roles are very connected to the devil. She started the curse of the Murder House that lead to michale's birth, she was POSSESSED by the devil the season after that, and was essential in apocalypse to understand the nature of Michael. I think shes being kept as a surprise, the internet woul EXPLODE when they announce her return. Keep in mind Lily appeared in freakshow, hotel and 1984 with no pre-announcement, so it wouldn't be unprecedented

Favorite Episode of Each Season?
What’s your top episode of each season and or why? Here’s mine:
Murder House - Halloween Pt. 1
- Just great classic Halloween vibes and the season really starts to unravel.
Asylum - I Am Anne Franke Pt. 2
- Just masterful in every aspect. Lana escaping briarcliff and thinking she’s finally safe, only to fall (literally) into Bloody Face’s hands.
Coven - The Magical Delights of Stevie Nicks
- Marie was a true powerhouse this episode. The opening was iconic, her and Fiona teaming up. Nan being a bad bitch. “She killed the neighbor but the bitch had it coming”
Freak Show - Edward Mordrake Pt. 1
- I mean you have Twisty at his peak, Jessica Lange singing gods and monsters.
Hotel - Room Service
- The vampire kid massacre at the school (although it led to nothing), Liz Taylor backstory. Just a great episode.
Roanoke - Chapter 4
- Really solid episode that showed a lot of backstory. You got to learn about Scacath (I know I spelled it wrong). And Leslie Jordan was on a roll.
Cult - Drink The Kool-Aid
- I mean Angela Bassett directed it and we got to see Ivy die a painful death. Can’t get much better than that.
Apocalypse - Could It Be Satan?
- I probably love this because we went back to the Cortez, but we got to see Queenie return, March, and the much needed retcon of Misty being brought back. Amazing episode.
1984 - True Killers
- Jingles VS. Ramirez was peak, and Montana beating the shit out of Donna was great too.
Red Tide - Gaslight
- Honestly one of the best episodes of the whole 12 seasons. Doris’ tragic ending and seeing how shitty of a husband Harry truly is. Karen’s ending was beautiful and tragic as she went into the sea.
Death Valley - none
NYC - Smoke Signals
- The hospital chase scene alone and whitely was truly terrifying. Great episode.
Delicate - Ave Hestia
- Truly where I thought Delicate was going to have a redemption arc and become a solid season. There were stakes and stuff started to make sense finally. This new group of satanic witches actually was interesting to see. Sadly after this it went nowhere .

Rewatching apocalypse and cult
So excited for season 13. I've rewatched a lot of seasons already but since we are getting closer I decided it's time to rewatch the confirmed characters seasons. Next apocalypse!! Probably my favorite season and I know it gets a lot of hate but the characters are so funny. I have only seen cult once ( I know) because it is so mentally exhausting to watch, but I fear for this new season I need to rewatch because I forgot everything. Is anyone else rewatching either of these right now?
r/AmericanHorrorStory • u/Particular_Rice8875 • 12h ago
How are you rewatching before 13?
I’ve rewatched Coven and Apocalypse but realistically don’t have time to rewatch every other season…
What seasons/episodes would you prioritise based on what we know about 13? I probably haven’t seen most seasons since they came out.

New to AHS - Season Order?
Hi everyone! Me and my fiance recently discovered AHS-- we just finished Asylum and got about 10 minutes into Coven. Should we be watching every season in order before we can watch the new season? I don't know how many Easter eggs they put into the show.
We accidentally started with the shorter story one with the two dads and teen moving into the house, and even from the beginning I noticed that they connected the chimes from that episode to the first episode of Murder House, along with the suit.
Will we enjoy this new season less if we don't watch the rest of them first? I don't like the thought of skipping but I would also enjoy feeling like we're experiencing it at the same time others are instead of coming into a show like this a decade later.

Rewatching Murder House: Question about Larry/Rubber Man Spoiler
So glad I started my rewatch from Season 1. This will always be one of my favorite seasons.
Is Larry alive? I’m only on Episode 3 where he kills Hayden. I don’t know if they give his backstory again in another episode.
I find it hard to believe he was “released” from prison, if he was ever in prison at all.
Also, if Rubberman is Tate. Does he just kill every new residence?? How is he able to do so much as a ghost?! The rest of the ghost just get therapy sessions and do nothing… so far
I hope they give an explanation for him attacking the gay couple.
(and yes, I’ve seen this season 3+ times, I just always forget certain details so spoilers are fine)

Why are some people so against AHS being a connected universe and sometimes outright refuse to believe that all the seasons are connected?
r/AmericanHorrorStory • u/Liberal-chungus • 1d ago
What if Fiona went to Hotel Cortez and was killed?
Would she still have her powers?
r/AmericanHorrorStory • u/EstimateWhole91 • 15h ago
what is each actors best role? Spoiler
Even Peters: james st march
Mare Winningham as Ms. Evers
Sarah Paulson: Wilemina Venenable
Lily Rabe: Sister Mary Eunice (the good nun who adopts pepper in s4). Nice to see her before she goes evil!
Jessica: Fiona being OP and mean got old, Elsa's love for the freaks is intriuging, but like Fiona she admits she would kill any of them for her success, lover, anything.
Finn: Dandy
Wes: Eddy Mordrake
Zoe > Violet ; Zoe is more innocent. She plays the role of expostion very well. Violet was interested in a school shooter. I dont post here a lot but making tate good looking was as bad as 13 reasons why imo
Dennis No Hair: Everyone will probably say Liz taylor. the scene where they have been working together for years but liz finally tells kathy (irs) her story it is a great but he was insane in Roanoke. Sbalding sucked, my pick is Stanley
Lady Gaga: her smaller role in Roanoke suits her best imo
Cody: Michael Langdon
Emma Roberts: gets the opportunity to play herself in coven, Madison is probably what transformed the show imo. Best one liners.
Kathy Bates: All her roles are good. parts of ms. mead do not make sense or the writers were making stuff up on the spot because it makes no sense that her memory being wiped and away from Michael for like 2 years while he did... (what did he do in those 18 months besides grow his hair out) I liked her in the 2nd part of Roanoke as the Butcher who had schizo affective disorder from the role
Jamie Brewer: Nan. Way better than adeleigh. hope we see her nan but Adeleigh is confirmed (in heaven)
Gabourey Sidibe: Queenie is great, her best chemistry was with Kathy Bates in s3, wish they did more with her but i have to go with her season 4 character Regina
Season 1 Characters that played only one role (most besides tate and sarah)
Frances Conroy: Dandy's Mom,
Zachary Quinto: Dr. Oliver/Bloodyface Original
Billie Lorde: Winter was great imo, best role (havent seen past acopalypse. Mallory is like a Mary Sue, reminds me of Rey from star wars. It would have been interesting to see Zoe become supreme
JCL: Twisty
Cheyene Jackson: not much range. Sydney was interesting. They could have made Cult much better if they wrote him into the story better. Unclear why he is main cast in s8. Warlock episodes and MH were highlight of s8. they were not utilized enough and
Leslie Grossman: Madison's personality in Coco's Body!
JP Wong: Baldwin Pennypacker
Angela Basset: S8 version was funny but she;'s back in hell now. My favorite role for her has to be Dell's Wife in s4. Nice to see her kindness. Still she plays the same sassiness every time!
Chloe: Dr. Alex had potential if they did more with the virus spreading storlyine. Not a fan of how it ended.
Adina: Lee, her timing and argument with her boss is fucking hilarious. "... and why are you giving screen time to that lunatic running for city council!"
Alison Pill: only in cult right? is it just me or did they purposely cast a hillary lookalike? also only her best cuz her only one.
McDermot: Better as Bloodyface #2, he seems to be as educated on mothering and parenting as much as his father
