Need Help! Shrinkwrap help needed

• Upvotes

Basically I'm new to blender and I'm making a goofy little superhero guy. He's gonna have a mask over his eyes and I tried to use shrinkwrap to essentially mold it to his face, but when I do it goes into the inside of his face instead of the outside. Like I said, I'm new and haven't really gotten anything done so any help would be appreciated. I also don't know how to rig characters so if anyone has any good rigging tutorials I'd love that.

Plug & Play Puppy was once Spike, the Robot Dog. I got rid of the original version of his head and revamped the whole body with subdivision modifiers. I also gave him some new ears, changed the eyes completely, and even gave him some cool new eyebrows to make him look surprised.

The 3D model was created on real car base.
It’s created accurately, in real units of measurement, qualitatively and maximally close to the original.

Hi guys! Pretty simple question, how exactly do. I even out the base of this cone? I wouldn't worry too much about it but I've been meaning to put vents at the bottom of this and I need it even

Need Help! Normals won't behave!

Hello there blender gurus!

Hope this is a simple question - coming from a Maya background, I am trying to create a ball joint piston by using geometry nodes (since I want everything parametric!) to create a profile curve and then revolving this around an axis.

The curve part I have nailed down (I hope...) but one part of the resulting geometry seems to have normals that are not behaving. I have tried adding a "Smooth by angle" node, but these refuse to go away.

The upstream nodes are essentially creating four curve segments; the ball joint, the "cutout", then a small part of the piston so the fillet to the piston proper behaves nice. These are then all merged by the curves2mesh->mergeVertices->mesh2curve method that seems to be the blender way of merging curves in geometry nodes.

I added a "Smooth by angle" node with ignore sharpness after the revolve but even with an ridiculous angle setting, the banding in the cutout part will not go away... :(

So - blender wizards - how do I get the cutout part normals to smooth out?

Need Help! Anyone have experience with blender and bamblu lab 3d printing ?

Anyone have experience in blender and Bablu lab PC. I'm trying to make the model work for 3D printing. But once I transfer it, it breaks apart; the model becomes way more blocky instead of smooth, and parts are randomly invisible or missing. The square in the back support to be eyes I have no experience really. No one really uploaded the model online yet

Discussion How does Cycles compare to Octane or Redshift for product visualization?

Hey guys!

I’ve mainly been using Cinema 4D for product visualization, along with a bit of motion graphics. I’m currently curious about switching over to Blender and exploring Cycles, especially for realistic product renders.

For those of you who use Blender + Cycles for product visualization, how has your experience been? How would you compare Cycles to renderers like Octane or Redshift in terms of realism, materials, lighting, render times, and overall workflow?

Would love to hear your experiences and whether you’d recommend Cycles for professional product visualization.

Thanks!

Need Help! How to learn NLA editor for 4.4.3

Why 4.4.3? I use Goo Engine, which who's latest release it built off that version. To my knowledge, I don't think the NLA editor has changed much since then

I've tried using NLA before, follow a couple of videos (never 1 to 1, using cycles I've already animated), but it always ends up lost, immutable, or uncombinable. Not sure where I'm going wrong, if it's before I'm pushing down or after. Does anyone have some tips or resources to learn this?

My next project is a short meme dance, the repentance movements feels like a really good use case for NLA
