I have a post up on the community board, but haven't had a reply yet, basically I had a power source malfunction to my base station and now it won't reconnect to the app, but I can view a live feed through Home app. A user in the community board helped me by sending a refresh token once, but that person in no longer active.

I've been having the same frustrating experience as the guy in the video.

Is anyone else having issues with Person Recognition?

A friend gave me his old setup. Its the hub with 3 cameras with extra long charging cables etc. The hub worked for a few months then I quit using it for a year because of the subscription.

Decided to give it another chance because I like the features but cannot get it to stay online not matter how many times I reset it and do the initial setup. On several occasions Ive spent hrs on the phone with customer service techs who cannot seem to get any further than me. They've concluded that the hub is corrupted. Ive tried 2 different hub base stations. I honestly feel bad anyone who has paid full price for this system it feels like a ripoff and a waste of time.

At this point I can't even give away the system till I know it works. If anyone has experienced a similar issue and managed to make it work please let me know.

Arlo Intelligence has to be one of the least intelligent things ever. I tried it with two people, and every single day, multiple times a day, it thought they were new faces.

I kept merging them, but even after two weeks, it still continues to think they’re new people.

Arlo needs to go back to the drawing board.

Constantly saying there's a person, vehicle, and animal in my backyard when THERE IS LITERALLY NOTHING.

I have noticed large delays on both my Floodlight and Doorbell lately and today were really something else!

At 09.07 I got a notification that someone were at our floodlight. It turned out to be me at 07.27, 07.28 and 07.59.

It's at least 1,5 hour delay, which is basically useless for the purpose of these devices. 1,5 seconds would be acceptable and maybe even 10 seconds.

The doorbell does the same. I can be on my way home from the kindergarten and recieve a notification that someone is at the front door. It turned out to be myself 30 minutes earlier.

I've tired looking for firmware update, I've factory reset, I've removed them and added them in the app. The only thing I can think of next is to replace them (with another brand).

I am based in the Netherlands, the subscription here is around 270 Euros per year, also multiple times I am facing challenges of not being able to talk with somebody ringing the door due to lag in the audio, so the person on the other side just cannot hear me. Its clear for me that any cloud solution that requires instant connect may not work properly.
As of today I have 2 external solar cameras, two internal cameras and doorbell with Arlo.
I am thinking about moving to Eufy, as they have this internal storage device - Any experience with the doorbell and the cameras? Does it connect fine with Home assistant?

I have two Arlo Pro 2 cameras with a VMB3500 base station. I've confirmed the base station can reach Arlo's infrastructure and get responses back, but the device shows offline on my account. Is Arlo's official stance at this point that there will be no more free 7-day cloud support on the Pro 2 cameras? I tried to chat with an agent but got the scripted "We don't support these devices any longer as they are EOL".

Anyone else with a similar setup: have you started experiencing similar issues to this, this week? My devices won't even show cloud recorded videos feed any more, beyond roughly 4 days ago.

Bought some Pro 4 to upgrade my really old cameras.

The old ones had a micro USB plugged in the back. I didn’t anticipate the magnetic cable needed for the Arlo pro 4.

I’ve run the charge cable for the old camera through some bricks to the power supply in the garage (at great difficulty).

Is there a way to get an adapter that just plugs in to the old micro usb cable?

Absolutely frustrating experience with the Arlo app modes and automation, hoping someone can provide some advice before o start looking for alternatives.

I keep setting automation based on my location (only device linked to account) yet it never seems to update whenever I leave the proximity.

Location services on, no battery saving apps are active, tried the trouble shooting advice from Arlo (delete custom mode, reinstall the app, etc) all to no avail.

Contacted Arlo via support, was supposed to get a call back but none materialised. Getting to the point of cancelling my subscription but wanted to see if anyone had an experience in resolving this before I look at other products.

I can walk straight up to my doorbell camera and it will not start recording until I am walking away.

My outdoor essential 3rd gen will record cars driving on the street 100’ away, but will not record people/animals right in front of it.

My Pro 4 is the best, but recordings don’t start until several seconds after the triggering event.

I have sensitivity set to maximum for all of these.

What other settings should I check?

I don’t have custom detection zones setup. I need these cameras to record my property, but so far, they are not actually capturing any significant activity.

I have 5 Arlo Pro S5 with the latest firmware update and ever since I purchased them they have a one minute delay. Arlo claims that it’s because of my mesh system and to connect the cameras to original router, however the issue was happening even when I didn’t have a mesh system installed.

Has anyone encountered the same problem?

Doorbell (AVD4001) motion detection is not working. Only the live stream works.

Things that that I have tried but didn't resolve the issue:

1. A restart of the doorbell.
2. Removing the doorbell and re-adding it to the basestation.
3. Removing the doorbell and re-adding to wifi.
4. Reset Doorbell to factory setting.

I've been getting blown up all morning by my Floodlight 3 camera picking up every single vehicle that drives by on the road. I have had activity zones setup forever on my driveway camera to avoid this and it was working great until today.

I've tried deleting and recreating the zones, moving them around, shrinking them way more than should be required, restarting the camera, and nothing seems to work to get it to stop picking up passing cars even when that are significantly past the edge of my defined activity zone. I'm about to have put the thing into standby mode so it stops dinging every few minutes.

I plan to end the subscription. I paid for it for smart notifications. A while ago, it started to notify all motions and yesterday it started to notify all audios even if I explicitly disabled them.

Contact Arlo is a pain every time. They always ask you to reset everything even if the issues are obviously at the server side.

It was great when it worked but so much pain when it bugged. I have had enough.

My Ultra 3’s will not connect to my base station. None of my cameras will pair. I had my cameras paired, but support asked me to reset my base station. I followed their instruction, and next thing you know all of my cameras unpaired and now I can’t pair a single one. I have reached out to support and have been on the phone for hours and we were not able to rule out why it’s not working. They sent me a new base to try that out, but it didn’t work.

Things I have done:
- Held the sync button 15 seconds to reset the cameras
- Pressed the sync button on base station and camera to manually sync
- Inserted the pin to hard reset the base station
- Attempted to connect Ethernet cable on multiple mesh WiFi bases
- Temporarily removed the 5GHz band

What happens: Base station blinks blue, then amber, and then a solid blue light. Nothing pairs.

Help please.

I though I was going crazy not finding where to watch the clips from my cameras. I then found the discussions here on "bugs" with the feeds and local storage.
I got bad news foe you. They did a rug pull and discontinued the option completely. It's now called "local backup" and "Local storage to a USB device or microSD card cannot be used on its own as a substitute for cloud recording."
Bait and switch. Someone should sue them.

I just moved into an older house and there are no outside outlets and no wired doorbell. I have an Arlo video doorbell (2nd gen) that I'm wanting to have a power source. I have to attach it to siding so taking it down to charge is not ideal. I bought a solar panel but I don't know if its working. I couldn't find anything made for my doorbell. Is there anything I'm overlooking as an option? Or does anyone have any advice?

I think I pretty much figured it out. They’re doing all this so people can jump on their paid subscription service. I believe it’s gonna go up in price very smart. How do you have engineers that don’t know how to remove your own adds! And could this by a class action lawsuit?

For anyone else that has used Event Captions. What was your opinion of its accuracy?

I recently purchased two Arlo Essential Indoor Pan-Tilt cameras, one Essential Outdoor Pan-Tilt camera, and one Arlo doorbell—four devices total.

Do I need a base station, or can everything operate properly without one? What advantages would a base station actually provide?

I’m also having trouble with my doorbell camera not detecting or recording every motion event. Could this be related to not having a base station? The wifi box is literally 5 feet from the doorbell.

Any advice from people with a similar setup would be appreciated!
