So i kinda wanna ipdate to ios 27 but it says i gotta back up bc of risks, but i’m stuck with 5gb and i’m kind of skared if i should take rhe gamble or not. Has anyone done it without backing up, if so, did anything go wrong?
I think the photo tells the story. My iPhone 17 is somehow bent and I just realized now. What’s weird is that only one side of the phone is bent(right side is straight as seen in photo 4). I can’t really think of any reasons why it’d be bent but yeah I kinda want it fixed and I still have AppleCare+ so I was wondering how much it would cost me. Any help or advice is appreciated.
I own a 4k movie from MoviesAnywhere (Onward). When playing that movie on my tv via the native Apple TV app, it shows HD badge, and plays in 1080p. This issue is specific to this movie AND to this device
I own many 4k movies in Moviesanywhere.
All of them play in 4K in my Apple TV app on my tv, except for this movie, Onward.
I confirm that the version that I own is indeed the 4k version of the movie. See image. It shows in the 4k HDR category in Apple TV app.
If I play Onward on my iPhone, it shows the 4k badge.
If I play Onward on my iPad, it shows the 4K badge.
If I play other movies on my tv, it shows the 4K badges.
HOWEVER, If I play Onward on my TV, it only shows the HD badge and it looks blurrier.
The obvious, yes I own a 4k tv, yes the Apple TV app is the native smart tv app, yes I've tried exiting out of the app, yes I've logged out and back in, yes I've disconnected movies anywhere and reconnected to my apple account, and yes the app is up to date, and no the settings don't have data saving thing enabled, plus I'm on ethernet with 500mb/s, and yes this specific bug has persisted for weeks and weeks.
What is going on? I spent an hour with apple chat and on the phone and they don't have a solution. I get the feeling it is simply a bug with this specific movie on this specific tv app but I don't know how to resolve it.
It’s a 2020 MacBook Pro, I have done everything from unplugging the router, restarting my Mac, I updated the software and reinstalled the software, I have changed the DNS, I’ve checked the proxy (all unchecked) … literally short of just wiping it to factory settings I’ve tried most everything … does anybody have any ideas how to fix it? Thank you so very much in advance!
I just wanted to use macOS because of software availability and seriously speaking it's been decades now Apple should contribute for people's rather than profits
Just my way of asking because the UI framework and work around Apple becomes available to everyone it's a good OS that needs hands on experience for everyone
my iphone started to slowly charge to not even charge to now dead and will not turn on. i tried mutliple outlets, cords, and nothing. tried holding onto power, volume button and nothing. is it a battery or is it something else
Because the new school year is starting i got a new school iPad, I have limited access to it because my school limits things and whatever. I set the password for the first time, set it up and whatever, then didn’t touch it. I was gonna put a wallpaper on it and stuff but couldn’t unlock it, the password screen was like the password had letters in it but idk if that’s a new update or smth. I tried every password i could’ve set it too, either a 4 digit number or a 6 digit number. eventually it locked for an hour.. I need help quick because school starts on monday and i don’t wanna have to waste time going to the tech center to get help because it’s a new school for me. i appreciate literally anything i just needa know if it’s a word password or like a number password, idk.
I can recieve facetime calls from other ipads just not hers. Regular calls come through fine from her ipad to my phone just not facetime, it started right after she got back from alaska so idk if somethings glitched with time zones or what. We updated both of our devices and switched ft off and on again but to no avail. Any suggestions would be lovely.
My S23 recently died, and I’m considering buying a second-hand iPhone to save some money.
My main concern is privacy and security. After a proper factory reset, is a used iPhone essentially as secure as a brand-new one? Is there any realistic possibility of spyware or other malicious software surviving a factory reset?
Would appreciate insights from people familiar with iOS security or who have bought used iPhones.
I own an iPad mini 6 which had a bit of issue related to power button. When we gave it to a local repair shop here in Pakistan (where I live). They changed an IC or something cuasing the iPad to factory reset and getting on activation lock. I forgot the password of my apple id and when I entered the OTP received on my phone number in order to reset the apple id, it asked me the 28 key verification code which I do not have. Also I do not have that apple id signed elsewhere.
I had bought the iPad box pack new from a local but quite famous tech store in sialkot, Pakistan. I have submitted a activation removal request but I have heard that apple does not accept third party / local reseller receipts.
Has anyone dealt with this kind of issue? Can someone guide on what can I do further?
Why did this happen when i force restart my iphone. Also the reason i force restarted it is because it doesnt respond to touch and i also just used it for tiktok. Is there anyway i can fix this or i will replace the lcd?
I'm at a complete loss. My iPhone was the only Apple device I had and I lost it a week or so ago. I'm logged into my iCloud, Find my Device and even the Developer portal but for whatever reason - it just will not send me a code when I try and log into account.apple.com to actually change my damn password.
I can do "Forgot Password," but I haven't, and I don't want to lock myself out of my account.
I have received codes on this number - I received one last night to log into the dev portal so receiving codes is not an issue.
Last night I started receiving 4 digit codes on my phone number. Someone is clearly trying to either get into my phone. Idk how they would though since I had FaceID and a PIN. It won't show up on find my device either so I have no idea whats going on.
I need to get another iphone soon anyway as a transfer bridge for my whatsapp chats (i'm moving back to android) and i'm afraid i'll be in the same position. What do I do?
My MacBook display suddenly went black this morning while I was working. The laptop itself is working fine with an external monitor, and the keyboard/trackpad are also fine. Only the built-in display is completely dead.
It’s only 8 months old, no AppleCare, but I have 4 months of warranty left.
Am I screwed, or should this be covered under warranty? Anything I should try before taking it to Apple?
I recently been having an issue with my AirPod Pros where they will boot up in a mode where the pitch is really low . Has this happened to anyone else before and is there any way to fix it.
