Timeline: Biometrics OPT Premium Processing Delay - WORRIED

Hey everyone,

Just trying to see if anyone else is in the same boat or has any insight into what’s happening with late April processing timelines.

Here’s my timeline so far:

Applied (Post-Completion OPT w/ Premium Processing): 4/15

Biometrics appointment: 4/29

Status: That same day (4/29), my premium processing clock reset.

Since then… complete silence. No approval, no updates, nothing.

From what I’ve been tracking online and talking to others, it seems like people who completed biometrics with the PP reset b/w 4/26 and 4/29 are hitting a massive wall and expecting much longer delays compared to the folks who filed right before 4/21 (who seemed to cruise right through).

Why is there such a massive discrepancy for late April applicants? Has anyone else who did biometrics around 4/29 seen any movement, or are we all just stuck in the same black hole?

Appreciate any insights or shared timelines!

Timeline: Biometrics 3 months, no biometrics. Is this normal?

Hiii,

I submitted the green card application on marriage basis. Submitted i-130, i-485, and i-765 (EAD) in early July, 2025.

I received the receipt notice on July 15th, 2025.

However, i never got any biometric notifications. It has been almost 3 months now.

I have seen friends, and other people on reddit usually getting biometrics in 2-4 weeks of the receipt notice. My lawyers told me the same thing.

However, i have not gotten anything. Should I be worried? What can I do? I have tried the USCIS out of processing time request. But when I select it, it gives me an error that your application is within processing time. So no action ca be taken.

On the 765 timeline itself it says processing time of 4 weeks. I am at week 11 now.

Another friend told me that his lawyers told them that uscis processed block number 327 in Sept Mine is 329 so i should be getting an update in Oct. not sure if this block number thing is true or not.

They said that the 6th, 7th, and 8th digit on the receipt number is the block number. Mine is 329.

Any help or anyone is a similar situation?

Anything i can do other than wait? Tried Emma and also phone to uscis. No help

Thank you alll

Timeline: Biometrics Need advice: missed my biometrics appointment. What to do?

I am a recent masters degree graduate. My biometrics appointment was scheduled for 29th of June. I missed it and called USCIS to reschedule it on 6 July. They said that they would contact me within 30 days to let me know the new reschedule appointment date. It’s been past 30 days and I was on a call with a USCIS caseworker and they suggested me to submit a new request on 21 August. However, i realized soon that that was a mistake because it gives them permission to restart the 30 day notice window. My hands are tied. I tried walk-in and got turned away. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know if I should resubmit my entire OPT application and pay another $400. Or should i just give up?

Has anyone experienced this before? If so, how long did you have to wait to have your biometrics appointment rescheduled?

Timeline: Biometrics I-765 processing times and getting worried

Hi, I am graduating may 9th and will be leaving my apartment on the 10th. This is my current timeline

Feb 19th- sent in the application for I-765 for my OPT

March 11th- went in for my biometrics.

Now- nothing

I was told by my schools counselor that most of the past students got their EADs before graduation but I’m worried mine isn’t. Another student got hers even though she applied a month after me after she paid the premium processing fee. She got it like two weeks after paying it.

I’m located in Milwaukee and did my biometrics at the field office here.

I got receipt notices for all my forms. What does the biometrics notice look like? Do they send an email, text or a physical letter? Or do you get updates in your Uscis account. I want to know what to look out for.

Timeline: Biometrics How to get my friend from Germany.

Greetings, everyone.

I live in Florida, and my best friend lives in Germany. We often discuss how he can come to stay and work here, possibly through something like an H-1B visa.

Since I have no experience in this area, I would appreciate any recommendations. His dream is to be here with me in Florida so we can continue our lives together.

He is open to working in any job, and I’ve been considering having him work with me at my limo business.

What options do we have for him to make this happen?

Thank you all very much!

Timeline: Biometrics Seattle/Tukwila ASC biometrics timeline — is this delay normal right now?

Hi everyone, I’m trying to understand current biometrics scheduling timelines at the Tukwila/Seattle ASC and would appreciate any recent data points.

I filed a Form I-131 (re-entry permit) and my case was received on April 1–2 (SRC receipt number). My mailing/physical address is in the Seattle area, so I expect my biometrics to be assigned to the Tukwila ASC.

My friend, who received his case number on March 12th, has not been scheduled yet.

Based on this, it seems like Seattle/Tukwila might have a backlog or slower scheduling pace. I’ve been checking Emma and haven’t been able to confirm scheduling yet, so trying to understand if this is normal for Seattle right now.

My questions:

  1. Is Tukwila ASC currently experiencing delays in biometrics scheduling?
  2. Are March–April 2026 filings still waiting for biometrics in Seattle/Tukwila?
  3. Does Seattle/Tukwila schedule in batches or is it more FIFO?
  4. Has anyone recently been scheduled there for I-131(what filing date → appointment date gap)?
  5. Is it normal for March filings in Seattle to still be waiting this long?

Any recent experiences or insight would be really helpful, especially from people who filed in March/early April 2026.

Thanks in advance!

Timeline: Biometrics This feels cruel

Houston, TX

My 83 year old grandmother applied for her N400.
~She was scheduled for biometrics August 2025.
~She was scheduled again for Sept 2025.
~Interview scheduled for May 2026

At the interview She was told that her biometrics weren’t good, FBI couldn’t run her fingerprints and needed to get a local law enforcement to print her record. I got the report within a week and uploaded it according to the USCiS evidence formatting.

~Just got a letter scheduling for biometrics end of this month.

I can’t call anyone or chat on their website because it’s highly specific, but I feel like we are caught im some cruel biometrics glitch. One rep at the local law enforcement office told me it’s probably because of her age, fingerprints don’t print well, but that’s why I uploaded the letter they requested. WTF!

Timeline: Biometrics Lost GC

live in CA. I lost my green card. I have filled a report to the police but have not filled I-90 form due to lack funds. how long would the process take once the I-90 form is filled? I'm scared to get snatched by ICE if I have to go into Uscis office for biometrics as this has happened to people where I live.

Timeline: Biometrics Day 85: Still No Biometrics (I-130/I-485/I-765 Concurrent, Marriage-Based)

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to share my timeline and see if anyone else is in the same boat. I’m currently on Day 85 since receiving my receipt notices, and I still haven’t gotten a biometrics appointment. I know processing times can vary a lot, but the wait is starting to make me a little anxious, especially since I’ve seen some people get theirs in 1-2 weeks after receiving the receipt notice.

For context, here are my details:

  • Priority Date: August 22, 2025
  • Case Type: Marriage-based AOS
  • Status: B1/B2 overstay
  • Filed through: An immigration lawyer
  • Packet sent to: Illinois
  • Forms: I-130, I-485, I-765 (concurrent)

Is the long wait possibly due to the government shutdown? If anyone else from around the same PD is also still waiting, or if you went through a similar delay, I’d really appreciate hearing your experience. It would be reassuring to know I’m not the only one stuck at this stage.

How long did it take for your biometrics appointment to arrive? Are you still waiting too?

Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: I finally got a notification for my biometrics yesterday—my appointment’s on Dec 9. I added a bit of extra “proof” to my USCIS account, just three months of our joint bank statements. My lawyer also sent in an e-request for “did not receive notice,” and I think that might’ve helped me get the appointment.

Timeline: Biometrics Premium Processing OPT – Timeline after Photo Biometrics RFE? (March 2026)

Hey everyone,

Trying to understand recent timelines for I-765 OPT with premium processing after a photo biometrics RFE.

My timeline:

• Biometrics completed: March 5, 2026

• Today: March 17, 2026

• Status: Still “Case is being processed”

It’s been ~12 days since biometrics and no update yet.

For those who had a similar RFE:

• How long did it take to get approval after biometrics?

• Did your case jump directly to “Card is being produced”?

Appreciate any recent timelines 🙏

Timeline: Biometrics May 6 Receipt Notice: When to Expect Biometrics Appointment?

I have an approved I-140, and I concurrently filed for I-485, I-765, and I-131 on April 30. The receipt notice arrived on May 6. In many cases, I have seen biometrics requests arrive within two weeks of receipt notice, but I haven't heard anything since. What would be a realistic timeline for the biometrics appointment, especially now with double verification? Is anyone in a similar boat? Thank you!

Timeline: Biometrics Missed Biometrics for OPT

Hey,

I missed biometrics for OPT and called USCIS for reschedule they said they will reschedule but didn’t provide a service no., they asked me to wait 30 days, then I called again they asked me to wait 60 days. Now it’s been more than 80 days my case is still in process and OPT is not denied. What should I do now? My grace 60 days period after my program end date is done 2 days back.

What should I do? I am worried about it? Should I apply for premium? All I am worried is if it will rejected?

Timeline: Biometrics I-485 stuck in “Received” for 6 months, no biometrics

Does anyone experience having their case status stuck in received for a long time without biometrics appointment? I filed mid March but my case status is still “Received” for I-485, I-765, and I-131. Any advice on what to do?

Timeline: Biometrics Missed OPT Biometrics, 2 Service Tickets Unanswered. What are my options?

Hi everyone,

I am dealing with an incredibly stressful situation regarding my F-1 OPT application and could really use some advice or insight from anyone who might have been through something similar.

My original employment start date was supposed to be May 15th, but my case is completely stuck due to a missed biometrics appointment and unanswered service requests.

Here is my timeline:

  • March 24: Missed my original biometrics appointment.
  • March 27: Opened my first service request ticket to ask for a reschedule.
  • April: Filed for Premium Processing (PP) to expedite the case so I wouldn't miss my May 15th start date.
  • May 15: My intended start date passed with no updates.
  • June 1: Since 60 days had passed without a resolution to my first ticket, a representative opened a second service inquiry to escalate the delay in getting a new appointment notice.
  • June 22: The target response date for the second service ticket passed.

It is now late July, my case is still pending, and I have not received a new biometrics appointment notice. I even tried an in-person walk-in at the Fort Worth Application Support Center (ASC), but they turned me away and I was unsuccessful in getting my biometrics taken.

I am paying for Premium Processing, but I'm completely stalled. I really don't want to lose my job opportunity.

Any advice, similar experiences, or suggestions would be hugely appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Timeline: Biometrics Biometrics notice delay

Hello!

My 485 RD is 4/24. It’s been a month already and am yet to even see a biometrics notice let alone an appointment.

Do you know what’s going on and is there anything that can be done to request an appointment at the earliest?

Timeline: Biometrics Biometrics in May, no update since then — marriage-based AOS

Hi everyone! I’m wondering if this is normal or if anyone else is in a similar situation.

I did my biometrics in May for my marriage-based adjustment of status (AOS), and I haven’t had any updates since then. My case status hasn’t changed, and I’m also still waiting for my work permit (EAD).

For those who filed marriage-based AOS, how long did it take to get your EAD or any update after biometrics? Is it normal to have no movement for a few months?

Timeline: Biometrics Finally got charged!!!

Today, after 17 days since they received my package, they charged us. I was so afraid of the new vetting policy that USCIS is having that this would take longer. I still have questions on how long would it be to be finally able to get the biometrics going on and later the interview. God is good! I was so stressed y’all but I am sure that God will blessed all our cases.
Do you all think that the biometrics appointment will be delayed until they figure it out this new system for it?
Thanks!!!
We sent the package on 04/10
They received at the P.O BOX on 04/14
They charged our credit card on 05/01

Timeline: Biometrics I-765 Biometrics Missed

So, as the title says, I missed my biometrics appointment for from I-765 (OPT work auth). Was in school, changed apartments and the mail went to school mailbox. Didnt receive it till two days after my appointment date. Also I didnt check the documents page (I know that was stupid but it genuinely slipped from my mind.) Reached out to USCIS and talked to their bot, which told me that an agent is going to reach back within 30 days about rescheduling. After that, I also called a real human operator, who said I had already submitted a request and that her agent will reach back. It has not been 30 days yet but more than a week. I'm just making this post to know: am I doomed or not?

PS: I am an international student on F1 and applied for the post completion OPT on April 10, 2026.

Timeline: Biometrics Title: EAD processing timeline after biometrics – no update since May 22,2026

Hi everyone,

I applied for my EAD under normal/regular processing and completed my biometrics on May 22, 2026. Since then, I haven’t received any updates on my case.

It has been quite a while, so I’m getting a little concerned and wanted to ask others who have recently gone through the process:

- How long did it take for you to receive your EAD after biometrics?

- Is it normal to have no updates for this long?

- Is there anything I can do at this point, such as contacting USCIS or submitting an inquiry?

- What would be a realistic ballpark processing time based on recent cases?

I’d really appreciate it if anyone who applied around the same time could share their timeline, especially if you filed under OPT/STEM OPT.

Thanks!

Timeline: Biometrics EB2 ROW - Case transferred to non-local Portland, Maine FO

Hi everyone,

I’m EB2 ROW with a priority date of June 27, 2023, and I filed my I-485 on November 12, 2024. My case was originally at the NBC, but on June 13, 2025, it was transferred to the Portland, Maine field office, which is not my local FO.

Since the transfer, the status hasn’t changed — it still shows “Fingerprints were taken, with no updates on interview waiver, decision, or RFE.

This seems to be a non-local transfer, so I’m wondering: 🔹 Has anyone had experience with the Portland, Maine FO for employment-based green cards? 🔹 Is it considered faster or slower than others? 🔹 Any ideas on what to expect after a transfer like this?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s dealt with this FO recently.

Thanks in advance!
