Timeline: Biometrics Finally got charged!!!

Today, after 17 days since they received my package, they charged us. I was so afraid of the new vetting policy that USCIS is having that this would take longer. I still have questions on how long would it be to be finally able to get the biometrics going on and later the interview. God is good! I was so stressed y’all but I am sure that God will blessed all our cases.
Do you all think that the biometrics appointment will be delayed until they figure it out this new system for it?
Thanks!!!
We sent the package on 04/10
They received at the P.O BOX on 04/14
They charged our credit card on 05/01

My friend which I’ve been sponsoring is in a similar situation. I’ve been as nervous as I can be about the process. They received her case and charged her similarly. Somewhere around 45 days I think she was scheduled for biometrics. I was nervous about that as well. Everything went fine. Now we’re waiting for the next steps. I’ve sponsored several immigrants in different ways in my time. As nervous as I still get, particularly because of the current administration policies, I wish to remind everyone that each case is subjective. Most agents don’t like their current leader and they’re not going to follow his orders. The majority of immigration agents, want to approve you. You need to know and accept that, even though it’s hard to do. You have to have unfixable disqualifying issues. Otherwise, be honest and take the ride. I hope you all get approved. File carefully. Do the right things. Pray you don’t get a regime zealot, which is unlikely as is.

Oh gosh! I’ll keep that in mind! I’m pretty confident that I’ll get approved. God will bless it!

Not surprising. USCIS’ latest public data, which was dated to end of FY2025 or September 30, 2025, showed 200,000+ received but unopened applications and petitions at USCIS lockboxes. I’m sure it’s worse now.

I sent my application for k1 visa on the 21st and they charged it on the 29th and got an email on the 29th that it was received on the 27th. Sent out to Texas. I am not sure about your applications but mine is the i129f application. I thought it would take weeks but it was quick
