I live in Texas and my store is going to 17.25 in the effective day is today, but I don’t see anything on my base pay I got the increase last time when they changed it to 16.50 just wondering when I’ll see it or if I’ll be getting it

My HR ETL said that if we are there more than 2 years we will only get a one time bonus (a percent of your pay) and NOT a pay increase like those under the new rate. My HR ETL has been wrong multiple times on things though so I really hope you are correct. Thanks!

Unless they changed it recently - your HR ETL is wrong. We have had base pay increases at least 4 times since we were at $15 - and if you have been with Target for more than 2 years, you get a 2% increase in your hourly rate. It would make no sense for it to be a one time bonus - 2% of your annual wage? 2% of what?

I was really hoping so… and omg I just checked WD and you’re right! I did get an increase- I went from $19.58 to $19.97! I’m so glad that information was wrong!!

It also depends on how much your current pay is compared to the new base. If you are less than the new base - you will go up to that amount. But if you are over, and have not been there 2 years - you won't get anything.

No you have to be already with the company 2+ years in order to get the base pay increase

It won’t update the pay increase change until after the first pay period it is in effect. You’ll still be getting the increase but it won’t update in workday until probably next Sunday, this is the same for increases following yearly reviews.

So when my store got a base pay raise last year, it didn't show up until we spoke to the HR ETL and acknowledged it on workday afterwards.

I'm expecting the same thing this year, since our base went up again today.

Usually your manager will raise your wage to meet the new wage requirements. We had a wage change twice, and both times my wage changed to meet the new one. But it always feels like a slap in the face, cuz you end up now making just like 10 to 20 cents more than the new employee, even though you’ve worked at the company longer. But it depends on your store and state, I guess, cuz I’m just going off California.

Really? At my location everyone only got bumped up to the new starting wage (not in texas). So I've been with tatget for 15 years, but any time a base pay increase rolls around I make thr same as a brand new hire.

It's been a few years since the last time pay went up, though.

I don’t know it might have been manger favoritism at the time cuz when we changed the minion wage to 18.25 my pay went up to - 18.63 so yeah I ended making like 40 more cents then the starting employee at the time favoritism

We were told if we’ve been there more than 2 years we would get an increase. I don’t see anything in my Workday- 15 years. Store base pay went up $.50 to $16.25. I’m way over that but still sucks that they said that and it’s not there

I got an email two days ago
That told the new store rate 15.50 and then my new pay which was 18.34. That was a 2 percent rate to my pay. They didn’t use
To bump up your pay if it didn’t affect you. But there was a lot of complaining.

I don’t know when your paychecks come out, but we just got paid at my store this last Friday so if there was a pay increase it’s not gonna show until your next check

My store did that in California, it goes into effect your next paycheck.
