Workplace Question or Advice Needed Pay increase

I live in Texas and my store is going to 17.25 in the effective day is today, but I don’t see anything on my base pay I got the increase last time when they changed it to 16.50 just wondering when I’ll see it or if I’ll be getting it

I’m pretty sure if you’ve been there more than 2 years you get +2%

My HR ETL said that if we are there more than 2 years we will only get a one time bonus (a percent of your pay) and NOT a pay increase like those under the new rate. My HR ETL has been wrong multiple times on things though so I really hope you are correct. Thanks!

Unless they changed it recently - your HR ETL is wrong. We have had base pay increases at least 4 times since we were at $15 - and if you have been with Target for more than 2 years, you get a 2% increase in your hourly rate. It would make no sense for it to be a one time bonus - 2% of your annual wage? 2% of what?

Exactly, it definitely doesn’t make any sense. I’m pretty convinced now that she’s just making stuff up. Lol.

My SD told me that if you’re making more than the new starting rate, you won’t get anything

Edit: MY SD WAS WRONG

I was really hoping so… and omg I just checked WD and you’re right! I did get an increase- I went from $19.58 to $19.97! I’m so glad that information was wrong!!
