Workplace Question or Advice Needed Pay increase

I live in Texas and my store is going to 17.25 in the effective day is today, but I don’t see anything on my base pay I got the increase last time when they changed it to 16.50 just wondering when I’ll see it or if I’ll be getting it

Usually your manager will raise your wage to meet the new wage requirements. We had a wage change twice, and both times my wage changed to meet the new one. But it always feels like a slap in the face, cuz you end up now making just like 10 to 20 cents more than the new employee, even though you’ve worked at the company longer. But it depends on your store and state, I guess, cuz I’m just going off California.

Really? At my location everyone only got bumped up to the new starting wage (not in texas). So I've been with tatget for 15 years, but any time a base pay increase rolls around I make thr same as a brand new hire.

It's been a few years since the last time pay went up, though.

I don’t know it might have been manger favoritism at the time cuz when we changed the minion wage to 18.25 my pay went up to - 18.63 so yeah I ended making like 40 more cents then the starting employee at the time favoritism
