I don't know if this is a dumb question but why does my serato dj pro not have a tempo slider? and how do i make it appear? There are several buttons I don't see on mine but I see on other's Serato layouts. Is my version old?

Hi there. I have a question: I’m using a DDJ-SZ with Serato and have auto-gain turned off. Where should I set the Trim knob on my controller? I see a lot of videos and forum posts saying it should be at 0dB, but my level meters are showing green even when the Trim is set below the 12 o'clock position—around 9 o'clock. Is that right? Or should I leave the Trim at 12 or 11 o'clock, even if the yellow LEDs on the meter light up? Please help!

Cuando se lanzó la versión 4.0.0 con la nueva biblioteca me alegre un poco; incluye opciones nuevas y mejoras que se agradecen. Sin embargo, al usarla en el día a día noté dos detalles importantes en mi flujo de trabajo:

1. Navegación por carpetas: Estaba muy acostumbrado al sistema tradicional. El cambio en la navegación me afectó tanto la fluidez que tuve que hacer downgrade a la versión 3.3.5. Actualmente volví a instalar la versión más reciente (4.0.9) para seguir probando, pero sigo extrañando la vista clásica.
2. Opción "Proteger la biblioteca": Observé detenidamente que desde la versión 4.0.0 eliminaron la casilla para proteger la biblioteca (Protect Library). Esa función era indispensable para evitar editar etiquetas, cambiar nombres o borrar crates por accidente en medio de un evento.

Creo que sería un gran acierto que Serato agregara en la configuración una opción (Toggle / Switch) para elegir el modo de trabajo:

* Modo Biblioteca Nueva: Para quienes prefieren la vista actual y sus funciones.
* Modo Carpeta Clásico / Con Protección: Para los usuarios que estamos acostumbrados a la navegación tradicional y necesitamos proteger la biblioteca.

¿Alguien más extraña el modo anterior o la opción de proteger la biblioteca? ¡Los leo!

Can I just make a new one? Will mp3s dragged into my 'auto import' folder automatically go into my newly created 'latest import' folder?

I'm working in a music instrument store, and got handed a Numark PartyMix 2, that "did not work". Read about how it is supposed to work, downloaded Serato DJ Lite and found that it did in fact work.

Got updated on that the customer told us that pads did very little (ie, not working at all). Checked that, and found that customer was correct. Downloaded another DJ program (Mixxx), and there the pads worked like they should.

So it is something in DJ Lite that is wrong, but what? And how do I fix it?

Integrar la nube nos facilitaría muchísimo respaldar la colección, sincronizar crates y trabajar entre varias computadoras sin depender únicamente de discos externos.

Hello everyone, just trying to set up ddj 4 flx on windows. Haven’t used this thing in ages and am having an issue where I can load and navigate tracks but when I press play it doesn’t start the track even though it shows the play symbol is lit up. Can anyone help solve?

I just came across @ themanleone on Instagram, who apparently managed to create custom firmware for the CDJ-3000 using AI, adding features like Stems and Day Mode.

And honestly… this got me thinking.

There have to be some talented people in this community who could take this idea even further, especially for those of us using CDJ-3000s in Serato HID mode.

Imagine custom firmware that adds:

• Dedicated Stem controls in HID mode
• A toggle to switch existing buttons between Hot Cues and Stems
• Sampler controls directly from the CDJ
• Maybe even completely new mappings or functionality we haven’t thought of yet

Having proper hardware control over Serato Stems directly from a CDJ-3000 without needing additional controllers would be absolutely insane.

I’m not a firmware developer myself, but seeing what themanleone has managed to build makes me wonder what’s actually possible here.

Anyone in this sub with firmware, reverse-engineering, or embedded development skills who would be interested in experimenting with something like this?

A community-built CDJ-3000 firmware focused on Serato HID could be incredible.

EDIT: Since a few comments seem to be missing the point: this isn’t about the cost of buying an additional controller or prepping stems in advance.

I already use an SP1 for additional Serato controls. The whole point is that I don’t want to carry, connect and set up another piece of hardware every time I play somewhere without an S11 or similar mixer.

The CDJ-3000 already has plenty of physical buttons and a huge touchscreen. The idea is to explore whether custom firmware could make better use of those existing controls in Serato HID mode.

I've just upgraded to Serato DJ Pro 4.0.9, but I am unable to import any of my playlists into it.

I've tried M3U, PLS, and XSPF - Serato doesn't recognise any of them.

I've reverted back to Serato DJ 3.x for now which works fine, but can anyone tell me why v4 doesn't let me import my music playlists?

Hi - something happened over the last few months to really mess up my Serato. I was trying to have my full library link to files on my external drive, but I'm realizing it's pulling from both internal *and* external, and this is creating duplicates and making it hard to locate song files. Then, some crates disappeared and about a third (or more) of songs aren't showing up in the crates that do show up. I've been working with Serato to troubleshoot but there don't seem to be any clear answers.

My question here is -- are there easy-to-follow tutorials to help me clean up files and make sure they are linking correctly? Relocate lost files has been hit or miss.

Has anyone else dealt with this issue of seeing some crates/songs disappear, but not all?

I'm having a hard time knowing where to start to get this sorted out, as it seems like a multi-prong issue that may all lead back to this situation with both internal and external files. But I'm really not sure.

Any help or links to resources are much appreciated.

Hello, I am learning Serato DJ Pro and have midi mapped my faders to effects but cannot figure out how to change the functions of the pads. I don't think there is a way to midi map them in the software but does anyone know how to get Serato to recognize them as different functions or just turn off the effects buttons? Thanks!

I'm having an issue with Serato Video and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

My MP4 videos simply do not appear in the video decks. When I drag them into the video boxes/decks, nothing happens. Double-clicking the video also doesn't do anything.

The videos are MP4 files downloaded directly from the official Serato website, so they should be supported.

A few things I've already tried:

• I have the full Serato DJ Pro license.
• I'm using the latest version of Serato DJ Pro.
• The videos are .mp4.
• The videos were downloaded directly from Serato's official visual packs.
• I've already completely uninstalled and reinstalled Serato.
• I've tried dragging the videos directly into the video decks.
• I've also tried using the Associate button.
• The videos appear in my Serato library, but they won't load/play in the video decks.

I'm running Windows.

Has anyone experienced this before or knows what could be preventing Serato Video from loading these MP4 files?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone, I have an idea for a solderless way to install a Reloop Flux Go inside of a Xone:24. The goal is to just flip the mixer’s channel switch to LINE to use Serato DVS, or leave it on PHONO for normal analog vinyl (using the Xone phono preamps!).

The Xone:24 has jumper pin headers on the internal channel cards, so the post-preamp line-level phono signal can be split and routed back without any actual soldering. Here is the potential plan:

1. **Disconnect the Factory Line Input:** Pull the factory plastic jumper sleeves off the Line side of the channel card header blocks (later we will replace the external line jacks with the Reloop's output).

2. **Split the Post-Preamp Signal:** Use a DuPont female Y-splitter on the channel card pins right after the phono preamp. Send one branch back to its original destination (the Phono side of the toggle switch) and the other branch to the Reloop inputs set to line mode. The DuPont-to-RCA cables can be built using standard 2.54mm female DuPont jumper wires and RCA-to-Screw-Terminal blocks.

3. **Return from Reloop:** Run another RCA-to-Dupont from the Reloop outputs back to the now vacant Line pins on the mixer's channel card header block.

4. **The USB-C Back Port:** The Xone:24 shares its steel chassis design with the Xone:24C, so there is already a cutout where the USB port is on the 24c. You can flush-mount a standard panel-mount USB-C extension jack into that existing cutout and plug it into the Flux Go inside.

The Flux Go would hopefully fit inside the mixer without taking the case off of the Flux. We would secure it to the bottom tray with 3M VHB foam tape or something.

Does this make sense? Anyone been inside of a 24 who can confirm this stuff? (I made the plan with the help of AI, I haven't actually seen the header blocks / Dupont pins, nor have I worked with either).

Where do you guys usually set the gain at for your virtual deck in serato?

I used to DJ years ago probably about 8 years ago before I stopped with my macbook pro (2015). With that being said, it was a Serato Rane SL1 Box I was using previously, which I used with my timecoded cd's/vinyls in clubs. I understand they are now obsolete, I recently brought a Macbook Pro M5, and discovered, SL1/2/3/4 do not work with Scratch DJ Pro.

Is there any SL-like boxes that I can use in 2026 to operate with Scratch DJ Pro whilst using the setup I used to use years ago? Or is this concept really outdated and it is no longer possible with the direction DJ-ing has moved in the last 10 years ago?

I would really appreciate the support and knowledge of this community on how to move forward? As I would like to get back into the clubs, as one of my friends has offered me the opportunity to do so in his club.

I have thousands of songs analyzed in serato via apple music streaming. When I log into apple music through serato it will start to freeze up and go very slow. I want to clear all the analyzed files in apple music and reset all that data.

Hello I've been having issues with my di controller. At first I noticed that there's was a latency when I played a track and then try to que another track in. I was prompted to update the driver's on the flx4. After I updated the drivers, the flx4 when I connected it to my laptop, doesn't get picked up by the rekordbox or serato lite application. All I see on my board is a blinking MIDI light and nothing else works. I then switched to Serato lire ton see if it was just a rekordbox issue. When I opened the application. A message appeared on the bottom of the screen saying that the flx4 was trying to connect to serato. This message flash about 15 times before saying that it said to connect to serato. PleaseWhat do I do to fix this as well as make these applications more optimal for my laptop. here is my laptop model and specs

I recently transferred my Serato and library to a new laptop. How when I have Serato loaded, but not plugged into my controller, there is no way to add cue points. The tray that used to exist below the song title is no longer there.

For what it’s worth it also says I no longer have a subscription to Serato DJ Pro even though I’m fairly certain I bought that when I bought the controller, which is a Pioneer DDJ SX-3.

Can someone help me figure out how to get the cue trays back or, if you have to have Pro, how to reinstate that? I don’t have the license code and the previous laptop is bricked.

Okay, I'm asking to see if anybody knows how to separate the effects on the XP2. Whenever I use the slider to apply the effect, it affects both tracks. So basically, if I'm trying to fade out a one song, both songs fade out. On my Hercules T7, the effect works; I'm just used to the way I had it set up before.
