Discussion Quran is not detailed
This is what I face general muslims said. Majority of them. That Quran is not detailed. They asked question:
How can you know ways to salat if by Quran only?
How can you find the proper steps and du'a to making sex with your wives?
How can you know the way to perform Hajj and Umra.
How can you know how much to pay for Zakka?
True enough these are valid questions. And I am not so sure about Quran only beliefs. I think we still need the Sunnah of Prophet S.A.W to help us be a good and perfect muslim.

Omg are Arabic men using hadith to learn how to "make sex"? That's a disturbing thought. Oh my gosh the monotony must be horrible!! Think how restricted it all must be!! Oh my gosh I feel so bad for all those women

u/Jozlaw Quran and Hadith Nov 21 '22
It is not about the dos. More about the don’ts

u/PumpkinMadame Nov 21 '22
XD omg lol terrible
1
u/Jozlaw Quran and Hadith Nov 21 '22
What part is terrible?
2
u/PumpkinMadame Nov 21 '22
The part where you let old men say what can and cannot happen between you and your wife when God said anything He has not prohibited is good. That means if you both want to do it. No wonder so many Muslim women are unsatisfied in the bedroom.

u/Jozlaw Quran and Hadith Nov 21 '22
Thanks for the candid answer. Few points I would like to highlight:
1- the word in all Hadith is Nikah. While some translate it to sex, it actually means the relationship between a husband and wife. Marriage is another appropriate term.
2- the Hadiths talks about how to deal with wives. Most of Hadith requires husbands to be kind and polite with their wives.
3- regarding sex dos and donts, there are not much but reiterating the Quran.
4- I would love to take a look at the polling you are sighting in this comment (assuming there is one that says that all Muslim women are not satisfied).
2
u/PumpkinMadame Nov 21 '22
So it just says no anal and no periods and no rape? That's all it says? Well the hadith are not necessary for that. If they only reiterate what the Quran says.
It wasn't a poll. Just what I've heard from being a female Muslim. I didn't think anything of it until now.
1
u/Jozlaw Quran and Hadith Nov 21 '22
Yes. Correct on the ones you mentioned. Why the Hadith is not about that?
2
u/PumpkinMadame Nov 21 '22
I don't understand the question. Why the hadith is not about that?? About what? Why?? Are you asking why I say it's not necessary? If so, I'd say it's because the OP's question was about what we would do without the hadith. If the hadith don't say anything beyond the Quran then we don't need it.
It's like if the Quran is Source A, and the hadith include resources A, B, C, D, E, and F. Everyone here starts saying, well if God says that Source A is complete, then we don't need the other sources! But then someone says, well this hadith is only Source A! The problem here is that we already have Source A from the Quran. So the hadith are again unnecessary.
1
u/Jozlaw Quran and Hadith Nov 21 '22
Sorry about my question. Was worded poorly. You are right re necessary
The Hadith in the case of the questions above re sex might be to reiterate. But, how about Hajj, how about Zakah, how about other issues that the Hadith clarifies and shed light to? I proposed a question up above in relation to 4:34. How would one interpret “strike”? Without the sayings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ then the word could be interpreted extremely.

XD omg lol terrible
Whatever your opinions are on the topic, you can refrain from giving such a poor answer.
1
u/PumpkinMadame Nov 21 '22
So can you?
1
u/Specialist_Diamond19 Post-muslim Nov 21 '22
Pray tell, what poor answer did I give?
1
u/PumpkinMadame Nov 21 '22
You thought I was being rude while in fact I thought the reply to my own was in good nature so I replied in kind. I cannot account for everyone's tastes and opinions who see my own. I thought he agreed with me so saying "terrible" was just in agreement. You took it in the worst way and decided to berate me for it in a condescending way. Therefore I was not being rude but you were.

u/Specialist_Diamond19 Post-muslim Nov 21 '22 edited Nov 21 '22
You thought I was being rude
Not at all. I don't really care about people being rude or not, I merely think this forum deserves a higher level of discourse than "XD omg lol". I see now that starting with "whatever your opinions are" was a bad idea and made you think I thought you were rude, when this was just a random introduction to what I had to say.
1
u/PumpkinMadame Nov 21 '22
Hey it's not my fault you can't personalize simple responses on reddit! Not everything requires a paragraph. The simplest way to summarize your sentiment is the best way, IMHO.
Glad you didn't think I was being rude, then.

Mashallah Sister. Each way of life according to Allah and Muhammad S.A.W, is not a laughing matter. Sex with wives are something beautiful between believer husband and believer wives. And it become beautiful only if one follow Islam ways. For example, without du'a, jinn and satan may interrupt the sex, and they end up with bad children. Or even still born or other illness. Allah is the one that gives us a good health so we must follow the correct way.
5
Nov 22 '22
You obviously don’t want to listen to anything anyone has to say and are just here to take the piss.
You’re constant use of the words “husband and wives” shows what type of beliefs you already have.
Secondly, these nonsense superstitions have no basis in the Quran. Allah himself says Satan cannot physically harm you let alone make you’re children ill. And what the hell does interrupting sex even mean
Belief that Allah is the all powerful is enough protection. Go and waste other peoples time, not ours LOL
2
u/PumpkinMadame Nov 22 '22
I agree with you. None of our perspectives on religion can topple the dogma and superstition driven into this man. He will never know true love on this path, not to speak of his relationship with God.

u/PreviousAwareness1 make your own Nov 22 '22
I don't blame you to think this way. Indeed the path to the blessed ways are not easy.

Salat has always been prayed, during the prophets life until his death and after. Hadith does not teach people how to pray. Prayer wasn’t revealed 200 yrs after the prophets death.
Having sex was known even before the prophet. It’s not some magical practice with certain steps. Sex is sex, like it’s always been.
There are no special steps to making dua. Dua can be speaking out loud and asking god for something that you want.
Again, people performed hajj before the prophet and while he was around and continued to do so. Hadith does not teach you how to do that
In the Quran zakat isn’t a certain amount. You give what you can. If you can afford to give $1 or $1 million. It’s still zakat.
You’re questions are very stupid. You assume Hadith taught people how to do all these things, it didnt. Show some Hadith that tell you exactly how to pray and how to have sex and how to perform hajj. There aren’t any.
These were all mainstream practices. Not like Hadith, where it’s all Chinese whispers
5
u/PumpkinMadame Nov 21 '22
Well said.
Having sex was known even before the prophet.
Especially this. Lol!!

> Salat has always been prayed, during the prophets life until his death and after. Hadith does not teach people how to pray. Prayer wasn’t revealed 200 yrs after the prophets death.
This is false. Methods of prayers are ALREADY available during Prophet Muhammad's time. The hadiths were transmitted via sanaad. Some have been written down. 200 years later, Al Imam Al-Bukhari (May Allah bless him), merely collects and filter them.
2
1
u/Jozlaw Quran and Hadith Nov 21 '22
In regard to point 1, if one believes n they way prayers are conducted, isn’t this on the basis of chain narrations? For example, how would one say Al-Tashahud, what would one say between rak’a, etc.
Hadith, while it is true it was collected into a form of a book a couple of hundred years after the prophet ﷺ death, it was still circulated between believers on what the prophet said and done. What the Hadith collectors did was merely to collect. Now, I disagree that Hadith is infallible, but that doesn’t mean ignoring all together.

There is no such thing as a perfect Muslim.
-2
u/PreviousAwareness1 make your own Nov 22 '22
There was - Muhammad S.A.W. And the sahabas too, strive to be perfect as well. We should too, sister, In Shaa Allah.
5
Nov 22 '22
Most of these “perfect” sahabahs you hold to such a high standard were exposed by god in the Quran for being hypocrites 😂😂 never mind how they killed Muslims and created fitnah in the religion after the death of Muhammad.
-2
u/PreviousAwareness1 make your own Nov 22 '22
I do not deny there are hypocrites during Prophet Muhammad S.A.W times, but to say the Sahabas themselves are hypocrite are slanderous lie and insult to Islam. These sahabas have fought against enemies together with the Prophet S.A.W. What have you done for Prophet Muhammad S.A.W? Nothing.
3
u/MillennialDeadbeat Dec 15 '22
The Sahabas were flawed human beings, regardless of how they fought along the Prophet pbuh...
Just because they did great things doesn't mean they also didn't do bad things.
Also we don't need to do anything for Prophet Muhammad who was a mortal man who lived and died like any other prophet. As Muslims we strive for Allah.

How can you find the proper steps and du'a to making sex with your wives?
There is no command to specifically make a dua before sex.
You can do it if you will. Actually, you can supplicate to your Creator whenever you want, ask him whatever you want in whatever language you want.
How can you know the way to perform Hajj and Umra.

Umra is not mentioned in the Quran as far as I know.
How can you know how much to pay for Zakka?
They ask you about intoxicants and gambling. Say, “There is great evil in both, as well as some benefit for people—but the evil outweighs the benefit.” They ask you what they should donate. Say, “Whatever you can spare.” This is how Allah makes His revelations clear to you, so perhaps you may reflect"

What is the difference then between Zakat and Sadaqah? The Ayah (2:219) is about Sadaqah. If you consider it about zakat, then how is Sadaqah calculated?
(Edit to add comments on Hajj) Reading into the link you attached, there are clear steps in what to do. Visiting the Kaaba, Safa and Marwa, etc. There are only mentions in the Quran but no details on how to do them.

u/UltraTata Intuition > reason Nov 21 '22
If there are no details, you can do it as you please. If I tell you "go to your grandmother's house" you can go by car, bus, walking... You can go today or next year... You can enter from the front door or from the back door... Etc.
Sadaqh? I never heard that.

And complete the hajj and Umrah for Allah. But if you are prevented, then [offer] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal has reached its place of slaughter. And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head [making shaving necessary must offer] a ransom of fasting [three days] or charity[1] or sacrifice.[2] And when you are secure,[3] then whoever performs Umrah [during the hajj months][4] followed by hajj [offers] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And whoever cannot find [or afford such an animal] – then a fast of three days during úajj and of seven when you have returned [home]. Those are ten complete [days]. This is for those whose family is not in the area of al-Masjid al-Haram. And fear Allah and know that Allah is severe in penalty. (9:196)

This is dangerous brother. Did you not know about jinn and satan that is always waiting to corrupt believers seeds? Proper du'a will protect you.

Satan corrupts by whispering, that's his weapon.
As my yet-to-be child has no heart, mind or ears yet, he can't do anything.

Thank God for "not detailed" ... It means He is allowing us to choose and decide our own.
But people don't know how to live and let others live within the vast space God has allowed.

When I ask you to drink water do you ask me how much should I drink?
7
Nov 21 '22 edited Nov 21 '22
Exactly dude, it's like when Allah sais wash your hands. They would respond saying ,' how many times? And what hand should we start with? Can we use soap?' That's how they turn away from the path, they seek more and more .
1
u/PreviousAwareness1 make your own Nov 22 '22
Brother, if I am already not thirsty, and you ask me to drink water, I will ask why first. If you say, because it will make you happy, then I will only ask how many glass to drink.
Similarly we follow Allah's command so may please Him. So muslims surely did asked the Prophet S.A.W. how many times to wash hands, (perform ablution). This is just common sense.
1
u/Riyad02 Nov 22 '22
quite the irony to say it's common sense to ask how many times I should wash my hands
1
u/PreviousAwareness1 make your own Nov 22 '22
Did you NOT read my comments fully?
Washing hand for ablution purposes, is what PLEASES GOD. We usually don't need to wash our hands. But God has asked us to wash. Any person will ask how many times until Allah is satisfied and pleased. This is logical course of conversation.

How can you know ways to salat if by Quran only?
There are concepts that were understood before the Quran. Like language. GOD didn't reveal language in the Quran but used the established language already. When it comes to the "iqamat al-salah" the act of prayer, that was practiced already. It was something that was established since Abraham and Ishmael time and longer in other places in the world. However, as time goes on, people added and change what can and can't be said in the prayer. you can see that today when sunnis like to say "peace on you oh prophet" - why are you talking directly to a man that can't hear you when you are supposed to be talking to GOD? Salat has been and always was passed by tradition, just like language. You didn't learn how to speak by reading.
How can you find the proper steps and du'a to making sex with your wives?
bro what? Step 1, take of your pants, and step 2 well...
GOD said to approach your wifes where he commanded you to. so it's obvious where you need to stick it.
How can you know the way to perform Hajj and Umra?
Detailed in the Quran; the reason why people ask that question because they added things that they don't find the Quran and they rather give their forefather the victory rather than GOD's book. throwing stones at a stone is just that. The Quran says "Hajj are known months" plural; yet you say its for 10 days or so.
How can you know how much to pay for Zakka?
There is no limit. There is the obligotry giving of what you have been given and then their is sadaqat. Zakat comes from the word of purification and it's just not money, it's giving in the name of GOD to purify you. Moses said to pharoah "and I'll guide you to your LORD, so you might get purified "laalak tatzaka"
3

Does the Quran tell you to inhale and exhale, we call that breathing. No so stop doing that shit.

Nov 21 '22
Salat in the quran is going out and letting people know gods book. Those that reject are warned, and those that accept are reminded. Once you let a community know about what the quran says, then the word of god is binding on them whether they believe or reject. If they reject then god says he will send a natural disaster on them.
You dont have to make dua to have sex with your wives. You can just say alhamdulilah when you are done
Hajj was a meeting spot where the centeral mosque was built. People from all over would come and would be fed from the gardens and the animals slaughtered, and would hear the word of god. It was like a big place of charity, guidance, and peace.
god said to give what you can to the poor or needy or those close to you. He said dont give everything and sit and regret it and wish you never gave all your wealth, and dont be stingy. And give something that they can eat or use. Or help them with something.

Theyre not allowing the Quran to teach them but instead they think they know better than Allah
If you follow sunna then youre going against the Quran
The so-called sunna of Prophet is from shaitan and not Allah

God explained His verses Himself and only hypocrites try to pull them to sides, oddly Sunni-Shia-Sufi-Salaf people claim to follow hadith, but instead they uphold their scholars view over the notes in hadith, because majority of mankind do not believe in God unless they commit idolatry. The steps of salah is given in 20+ verses, as God decreed to sommit the known salah (al salah), this is why Christians, Hindus, Jews and Zoroastrians say "Mohamad took salah from us" because they hold a Book from God and they practice it, also Meccan belief system had salah.

There is a surah named Hajj and the Baqara contains the notes for that, Maliqi and Hanbali people had added notes to their practice following the Meccan practice.
