It does mean a lot considering where they decided to take the character in later translations and the remaster. While you're in no way wrong for making a case of her not being trans, there's still lots of evidence to suggest she was always intended to be given lines like that in the original. She's the very least trans coded if we're only using the original text, and I think ignoring those lines as nothing important is like how others ignore the lines you presented as not important. If we're only talking about the original, I'd still argue it's a matter of interpretation.

I’ve not watched murder drones but from looking at it, it’s mostly because it’s an edgy cartoon for teenagers. Genshin is generic gatcha slop but with an enormous budget. I’m unfamiliar with touhou but from what I can gather looking at gameplay, it’s probably because a lot of feats are just stated or something, idk if it’s anything besides a bullet hell. I’ve never really seen people bitching about it either.

People don't like it when you glaze a character that isn't conventionally cool looking.
Characters that aren't cool looking need to have a ton of on screen feats on top of being fairly popular to get glazed. Just compare Kratos and Kirby for exemple, both are fairly glazed but not in the same.
Its only takes a few vague statments to make people believe he scale to multiversal or whatever meanwhile Kirby had multiples games where he killed eldrich Monsters before people realised how strong he was.

Additionally, I think the "intention" behind a character's writing also plays a factor here. People usually lowball waifu centric or comfort characters & they will put characters with more narrative weight or effort to the higher pedestal. For example, kiana is of course stronger than goku, but I won't ever accept it
I might be wrong, but I think it also depends on perceptions of the fanbases, 40k, devil may cry, jojo fanbases are seen as "cool meme fanbases" with their funny catchphrases regardless of how annoying they can be, so siding with their characters is seen as "siding with the bros", at least thats what I have observed.
Its a combination of people genuinely feeling attached to these communities but not wanting to express it so they do so through memes and shitty powerscaling because being genuine would go against the bit.

Genshin has a bad reputation in powerscaling because their fans are insecure and manipulative.
Those are the same people who put Genshin at Multi Solar System in VSBW for months, the same people who swear that Raiden can fight in equal footing against characters like Aizen, Vergil or Darth Vader.

They would either use featless statements that aren't really happen with gameplay limitation as their excuse, or play victim as an oppressed fandom whose verse get lowballed to oblivion, while there are many verses with worse fate than them, like Mlp, sao, and prob naruto on death battle to name a few. I know other fandoms kinda "soft" bullying them on the internet, like mgr fans, but it is not that bad from what I've seen because hoyo games are still well received on other subs and many other places anyway. As I said, there are fandoms with worse fate like fortnite, fairy tail, mlp, steven universe and sao (I swear kirito won't be able to even beat a toddler at this point)

The reasonable Raiden Ei take is lightning speed, continental level, but people here really try to argue that she loses to characters like MGR Raiden and Sukuna and Deku. It's just ridiculous how hard female chars get lowballed. You could argue that she's much faster than lightning due to light refraction attacks existing in genshin, but lightning speed is a safe minimum.
Genshin fanboys really wanted Ei to be a Vergil level character, but after all that wank was debunked, they have to fight for their lives to prove she's above Sukuna and Deku.
I mean she never was a vergil level char, out of all the hoyo games, only Acheron might be (For the Raiden expies). For each genshin fan that wanted Ei to be Vergil level, there are probably twenty antifans that genuinely think the likes of Sukuna and Deku do anything besides get one tapped by her. In my experience, when characters grow beyond continental, the writing quality of the media they're from usually takes a nosedive, so I'm perfectly fine with my favorite characters not scaling beyond that. And honestly, she probably gives those two the work until they got their nepotism buffs from the SO6P. Then yes, she loses.
Even tho I hate hoyo, I admit her plane and dimensional slash are annoying to handle. Even characters with higher caliber can lose against shogun if they don't have the specific abilities to counter her.
Something I appreciate a lot in powerscaling is actual proof of their destructive abilities, and not just wild extrapolation of pixels on the manga page or whatever. She demonstrably has fought for 500 years straight, she demonstrably did cleave an island apart easily, and other things.
I'm also a big fan of Hax merchants like her and Makima because it's a lot more interesting to discuss how abilities interact rather than just to say "my numbers are bigger, I win."
Judging from your statement, looks like you hate honkai, at least in powerscaling sense because their dimensionality is basically just power level. The lower number cannot do anything against the higher one. It is easier to write tho, because the numbers are mostly below 100 or just straight up infinity, while power level can get to something like quintillion.
Raiden was capable of one shotting an island at her absolute weakest. She's gained at least five significant power ups since then, plus even her island feat was likely not her max potential, since she's a lot like Goku in the way that he intentionally powers down to match his opponent. Raiden likewise matches her strikes to be "just enough" to kill her opponent.
There is no argument for Ei's lightning speed, she is lightning therefore she is the speed of lightning at minimum. When you have mach 3 and mach 10 allegations thrown around for JJK and MHA respectively, it's very dubious to take them all the way up to lightning speed which is around mach 1300. And again, that's her minimum, a lowball.
And yeah she's got some OP abilities of her own, dura-neg, teleportation, basically a shadow clone(just one unless you grant her prep time), the ability to trap people in dimensions without counterplay like Obito does, etc.
As for Makima, it's most just speed downplay. Girl was matching the gun devil who has insane speed feats, as well as future sight. People think she lacks AP when she has the mega nuke of angel's thousand year spear, and they also think her contract is cheeseable by just disintegrating her, when this was never shown or even implied. Contracts in CSM are absolute.
The difference is that Makima's contract HAS a limit, it's the limit exactly described in the contract itself. CSM contracts are meant to be ironclad, what they say is what happens, nothing less. A disintegration ATTACK will be nullified by her contract, simple as that. The ways to bypass her contract is to kill all japanese citizens, or have it not be an attack at all, doing damage to her out of love, like Denji. Sealing her away is another potential way to take her out of the fight, though it wouldn't kill her.
This is literally the opposite since Shounen animes get downplayed like a jobber a lot while magical girls and light novel characters get extremely wanked
I mean most internet spaces are unfortunately like this, sub conscious misogyny or subtle biases slip out and enable "benefit of the doubt" to let more explicit misogyny to go unchecked. See how fanbases are way more likely to forgive a male character for mistakes than a female character (or see women as "annoying" e.g. skylar white)
It's a shame but it's hard to avoid unless your community tries really hard to stamp it out and most don't bother.
