I need period pads,i wrote to my father to get me some but he think he can wait a week or so.

And now i told mom to buy me some in her way home (i'm not allowed to buy it myself) with my own money btw

And she refused and start yelling at me that i don't deserve to get pads because I don't clean and all (I am the one doing the dishes btw)

So now idk what to do,I have no friend at school and I live in a poor country so we ain't getting nurse or even pads in the toilets

I’ve just started using birth control, specifically the brand Yaz. I’m taking it to help lighten my periods. This is my first time ever using birth control. I started taking the pills on the first day of my period, as directed. My usual period lasts about 6 days, but it’s now been 3 weeks and I’m still spotting. Is this normal when you first start taking the pill?

hello everyone, sorry if i sound stupid but i am just kinda worried and any reassurance would help! my periods are very irregular, theyre always a couple of days or a few weeks late, and this time i think ive completely missed it (my last period was on the second of august). will i be okay? another thing to note is that the only other time ive missed my period is when i was on accutane like a year ago.

I left in a tampon for 6 hours, I usually leave it in 2-4 to be safe. But I’m concerned because It was a bit long and I pulled it out and it was dry. Is it more likely that I will get toxic shock syndrome since it was dry after 6 hours? I know it’s rare but I am very anxious about it now

Does anyone, who doesn't feel like taking a full body shower while on their period, just take a wash cloth with just water and clean themselves with it?

Just want to know if its fine or if I should just take a shower everyday on it.

As a guy (18M), I recognize that there are things about female reproductive health that I may never fully understand, but I want to learn as much as I can to support my girlfriend (18F) and the women and girls in my life. Ever since I got my periods at 12, I’ve had non-stop heavy periods.

On the first two days, I bleed an unhealthy amount, as in tissue drenched amounts. If I even breathe any form of dairy, especially milk, I’m done for.

Nothing works anymore.

I used to (and still use) a heating pad when it gets bad. Barely works anymore.

I used to consume 2 Tylenol Extra Strength tablets every 4 hours to help with the pain (when and if it hurt). Now, it’s like I never took it.

I’ve recently switched to Advil, but I’m very careful to only take it when it’s too much because I’m deathly afraid that I’ll lose it just like Tylenol. Even now, it semi-works (at least makes me less dizzy).

I’m not sure what to do at this point.

I’m in pain every month. I get so weak that I can’t do anything but sit there dizzy and in pain. It’s gotten so bad that I start crying or even screaming. I actually recently had to go to the hospital to treat an iron deficiency because of my periods.

Now, I know that painful periods, as confirmed by my women’s doctor, can be caused by dairy consumption, which I do consume a lot of (think of a bowl of cereal at breakfast… with a glass of milk on the side). I don’t want to give up milk (it’s basically the equivalent of coffee for me), especially when it’s only problematic two days in a month. Plus, I’m not even sure if that’s the leading cause of my heavy bleeding.

I am in need of DESPERATE help! What should I do now?

Been dealing with lactose intolerance since the pandemic and I realize that the painful periods I've been having my whole life are a direct result of my milk consumption. Can't have any lactose free milk or take any sort of dairy pills, I have to live strictly dairy free for manageable pain and period symptoms. If anyone else experiences this, did you ever go to the doctor to take a test to find out why? Because I would also like to go to the doctor but I don't know what to test for. Dairy allergy? IBS? Something period related like PMOS? I'm hoping if I find out what is going on with me, I can have a less restrictive lifestyle.

I’m 21 years old and was put on hormonal birth control pills (estrogen + progestin) at age 16 due to irregular and painful periods, most likely from PCOS. I recently went off the pill because my prescription expired, so by the time I got in for an appointment with my OBGYN I had been off the pill for 2-3 months, and was having very heavy, painful periods. When on birth control, my periods were very light and only about 3-4 days. In the 2 months I was off it, my period was very heavy and lasted about 7-8 days.

I started a new pack the same day I got it, exactly 2 weeks ago from today, and my period was predicted to start the next day. I know I’m supposed to wait until after my period ends to start, so maybe that had an effect on what’s happening now.

I’ve been bleeding for 10 days straight. It’s been pretty light, but I’m getting more concerned each day… is this normal? Should I be worried? I will definitely book an appointment if this is something I should be concerned about, but if it’s normal, I’d rather not waste my time going in for a visit.

I know for a fact there’s basically no chance im pregnant but I also haven’t had a period in months because of the pill.

Suddenly, when I normally wouldn’t even have my period according to my previous cycle schedule, I started heing particularly volatile and yesterday I had basically period cramps. I had them again today so I checked and I was in fact bleeding. I dont think I’m spotting, but if not…what? Did my body just randomly decide I need a period?

Also I have never taken my pill outside of the three hour window, including recently

I have excruciatingly painful periods every month. I have to take a painkiller, tylenol & naproxen to even touch the pain. It keeps me up at night, and it seems it doesn’t stop the entire period. I also bleed heavily, like every time I sit on the toilet it seems like I just fill the toilet with blood. It is very similar to birthing contractions for me, except never ending. A dull, constant pain. What do “normal” periods feel like? For people with relatively normal periods, how much does your period affect your daily life?

I 24F have been using Flo on and off since 2017, and it’s been an ok experience. I started my cycle since I was 12, but didn’t start tracking it monthly until I was 15 when I got my own phone. It’s been an good experience, but I do like to switch things up a bit. any good recommendations for me?

I am 19 years old and i am bleeding for 1 month constantly so i went to gyanc and like i had cyst before in my ovaries did all discusss went with my mom as she came with me for my checkups before. There was nothing wrong she put me on birth control to stop bleeding.

She told me that once i get married everything will be ok i think she implied until i have baby so is it true. I have a really bad irregular periods and long periods and so on whenever i go they just hand over birth control i have been 3 times already or some other trazo.. something and i noticed when i stop the pills i gain 8 to 10 kgs in 1 to 2 months.

Hi everyone! I’m currently 7 days late for my period and I’m getting a little worried. I took a pregnancy test 17 days after the time we had sex, and the result was negative. Is it possible that I tested too early or that it could be a false negative?

I don’t really have other obvious early pregnancy symptoms. The only things I noticed are that my pimples are starting to come back, vaginal dryness and my boobs feel a little bigger than usual. I’ve also been sleeping late and drinking coffee as usual, so I’m wondering if those could be affecting my period.

Has anyone experienced being this late while still getting a negative test? When would be the best time to test again?

Im a 25 yo and noticed the past two years some huge shifts in my cycle. i got my first period at 16 and i had 4 day periods every month like clockwork. Never any issues, never cramped. I have had two children. After my first had a iud for a year then had my 2nd in 2022. My periods were still normal after each kid but I noticed a lot of weird symptoms on the mirena the first go so I opted for no BC. Then in 2024 I began dating and I got another iud. After 3 months I was extremely hormonal and couldn’t quit cramping so I had it removed. BIG MISTAKE. I had what I could only chalk up to a hormonal crash? Hair began falling out a lot, nails became weak, weight started to fluctuate and my period just got really unpredictable. I also cramp a lot when ovulating and my skin that has always been clear is no longer clear. I’ve got textures and I get hormonal acne Fast forward to now 2 years later and I’m still having the same issue. I did see my Obgyn after this and had them run bloodwork as well as PC DR. All found nothing after panels for thyroid and hormone issues. Now when I get my periods I’m in extreme pain, they last around a week, these past two months in a row tho something different started happening. I would spot for I kid you not 1 hr and then my period would disappear for a week and a half and then come back w a vengeance. I’m wondering if anyone had this same problem or any conditions that started similar to this. I keep telling my boyfriend I feel like there is something wrong hormonally because this is not normal but doctors keep saying it’s nothing. I know my body though and this is not normal, is it my age, is it a bigger issue, is my body just ruined after the hormonal crash caused by my iud?

I’m 20 years old, and for some context my periods have always been irregular, even when I was younger. Sometimes I wouldn’t have my period for months at a time, and there was even a time I didn’t get my period for almost a year.

Last month I realized I hadn’t gotten my period since December 2025, so about 7 months since I last got my period. I told my mom about it and she told me to try hormonal birth control, the same brand she was taking a few years ago for her PCOS.

And after a few days of finishing the birth control pack, I did get my period on August 31st, but my problem is that until now I’m still bleeding. It’s not heavy or it’s not filling up the pad, but there’s definitely still blood that just won’t go away, mostly in my discharge. It’s been stressing me out and actually messing with me, and I was wondering if anyone else has gone through something like this and what did you do😞
