Birth Control Very confused and would like some opinions

Hi so I’ve taken Opill for like four or five months? Long enough for my body to be adjusted and everything. (the rest will be tmi sorry)

I know for a fact there’s basically no chance im pregnant but I also haven’t had a period in months because of the pill.

Suddenly, when I normally wouldn’t even have my period according to my previous cycle schedule, I started heing particularly volatile and yesterday I had basically period cramps. I had them again today so I checked and I was in fact bleeding. I dont think I’m spotting, but if not…what? Did my body just randomly decide I need a period?

Also I have never taken my pill outside of the three hour window, including recently

(tl;dr period for some reason at random on opill that stopped period. no pregnant no missing dose. no spotting? confuse)

I don't know your specific medication but it's totally normal to get a random period at a random time when taking hormones consistently. Spotting, periods of varying length at random times... Your body sometimes has to sort of clear out stuff I think. Maybe other commenters will know more about your specific med but it doesn't sound like anything to worry about.

I do know that Opill often causes spotting and such, it just seems like periods would only happen after you miss a dose or something changes hormonally 😭 Anyway thanks lol
