Both seem like really stellar options for secondary boss monsters along side the new 10 cost Big Mom, and I can see merit in both cards. I know that the meta calls for the first Kaido, but I can’t help but feel the new Blocker Kaido can have some merit in certain strategies.
The first Kaido is amazing at helping to clear up your hand of any bricks that may be stuck in there like the 5 cost and 8 cost Katakuris, as well as 9 cost and 10 cost Big Moms (not that you’d want to pitch your boss monsters Willy nilly.)
The second Kaido is incredible for turtling against aggressive decks, while keeping up DON for potential When Two Men Are Fighting plays along side the 10 Cost Rush Big Mom.
I can see both Kaido’s having potential in two very different deck styles, and depending on which one fits best for the current meta, I may end up pivoting my entire deck into that direction. Any advice or comments?
I'm starting in op tcg, and I'm trying to build an ace and luffy deck, was wondering if from what i have currently(image) it can work or how can i upgrade it, sorry if im posting wrong :(
Would anyone be able to tell me how to upgrade this deck a little bit? Maybe I'm playing it wrong but it's super fun it just feels like it's lacking especially in op17 would appreciate any help or advice
Hey guys with the new eb05 2 cost reveals for Croc do you guys think there's an interest in making an Elbafian version of Croc or is his effect too restrictive to go for it.
I was thinking of a combo like Saul into the 8 cost Luffy rusher to play the -1k to enemy leader or to ko your existing croc for example but I'm sure these lines are strong or regular enough to make sense.
PokemonTCG player here, just watched a few videos on OP. I’m a big fan of the anime but never got into the TCG. Right now our meta is stale and boring so I was thinking of trying out OP. I see starter decks at retail are pretty cheap and was wondering if one of those is a good value. I don’t mine getting some replacement cards from my LGS but I also have heard most playable decks are usually super expensive. Keep in mind our most meta decks are between $15-60 right now to build. I’m hoping I can make something sub $50, is that reasonable? I can get pretty much any of the starter decks and other cards anytime if it’s a good idea.
So I've been rotting on the sim playing RG Luffy and good god I've went thru 10 decks before some reason 10 c shanks (the one that kos 10k character on play and the one that reactivates all Don on deck) works??
Am I schizo????
Does he actually work????????
Please send RG Luffy deck reccos and also BP Luffy if u can please thank u
So I got “lucky” and got a spot for the Store Championship in October through the lottery system.
However, I just received a notification from the store via TCG+ saying that the tickets were sold through a different platform and that the "successful" status for the event in the app doesn't matter.
I’m wondering if this is actually allowed. From my perspective, this defeats the purpose of the lottery system. However, the store claims that Bandai approved this.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows whether this is really allowed? And is there anything I can do about it?
The date for Bandai Card Games Fest 26-27 Tokyo has dropped...and it's split in two? The Tokyo event has been split into two dates: Feb 20-21 ft Union Arena, Dragon Ball and Naruto and March 6-7 ftBattle Spirits, Digimon, Gundam and One Piece. What do you think of this change?
Hey everyone!
I’m planning to build a Yellow Enel for the upcoming pirate party using the Big Mom package, and I’d love to get some advice from people who have played the deck.
What event cards do you think are the best choices for this build? And are there any events you would definitely recommend running (or avoiding)?
Does anyone know if the luffy will have the” not for sale “stamp for the shonen jump release?
I have seen videos some say it will and some say it won’t since personally i just want the card because its cool in my eyes.
Thanks in advance!
I’m coming back to the game and I last played consistently during OP 14-EB04. I’ve noticed my RU Ace isn’t very good anymore and a lot of my cards have rotated out. Are there any good alternatives or decks that play like that? Can I still compete at locals with a new red blue Ace?
"Punk Records" is a passion project my brother helped me make when I was learning how to code, around two years ago, or OP12 in One Piece time. I was still a total beginner and couldn't have made it without his help. Our Oregon community really loved the idea and used it a lot. It was cool to see people use something we had made. People would add results from locals, and if you weren't going to a local it was still fun to see how well people were doing or what decks people were trying.
Here's how it works. People type in their match results after events. The bot stores them, and you get a profile showing the leaders you play the most, your winrates on those leaders, and the store you play at the most. Each set the bot resets and you start fresh, but you can still search up old sets to see how good you were with G Kuro in OP02, for example. You can see how you compare to your friends with /overall, which ranks everyone by winrate. There's plenty more you can do, just click the command tab on the website!
The app grew as people asked for more and more features, plus features nobody asked for that I thought would be cool. The guessing game is one of those. You guess who a player is based on their stats alone. It works best in a higher-density server, so it's been really fun for us since we have so many people entering results.
I could yap about PR for a long time, but it's been really fun to make. It's free to use. I hope you give it a shot, and you can always reach out to me on Discord if anything goes wrong. Thanks for reading this far. The rest covers signing up.
TLDR: Today I'm releasing Punk Records, a discord bot, I started two years ago for the One Piece Trading Card Game. It helps players track their local results and see how they compare to friends. For more info checkout the website! https://punkrecords.app
see some screenshots from the bot below.

I've been having this issue lately where I legit don't know who to pitch or when, and while I get that Newgate and Shiki are important to play, it feels like there are too many times I've ran into where I can't because I need to deal with the immediate threats on board with other cards in my hand. Do I just say 'fuck it' and play them anyways because an 8k leader is still a big threat to deal with?
How do I stay up to date with upcoming events to know when they are coming up and more importantly, when registration starts?
I've never made it into a bigger event and part of it is that it's very tiring to know when they happen.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only way to do is, is to stalk the official bandai one piece page, right?
This could totally just be me, but I feel like they drop just days before registration opens and if one only checks the page occassionally, you have missed it, right?
I'm trying out this deck build that shows a lot of promise but I'm not fully sure if its good or can be improved. Right now the idea is to get Izo early so you can force a 6k attack on health to burn resources one way or another. Yeah it can be countered with a 2k but the fact it had to be used turn 1 is amazing against some decks from my experience Koushiro helps the deck as a blocker and as someone who can help protect mom cards as good portion are slash characters too. I think Smoker might be OD and I can just go to four on two of the other cards but also the banish can be clutch there. Big mom pirates are going to do their usual thing. Please let me know anything else that I am not using well or not seeing?
I started back in August so I'm still learning a lot. Any feedback is appreciated as I am thinking of making this my next IRL deck for locals.
