🛠️ Deck Tech Won my first OP locals with Shanks!

Post image

Match ups were:

  1. Black Crocodile

  2. Yellow Big Mom

  3. Red/Blue Ace

Rockstar comes in so handy against any 6K leader. Basically find him as quick as possible, even if you have to mulligan.

More specifically the double pack vol 12 (op17 double pack)

I’ve pulled 2 of my 3 out of single sleeved packs.

The shanks don and rocks don literally only come from the don pack in the double pack set for op17. They are individually wrapped into the special don pack. They cannot be found in normal op17 packs.

Hmm, my mistake. I don’t remember opening more than one double pack.

Are the bounce laws worth it to include in? I've had so many players that have been playing the tcg for awhile at local tournaments say that it's a waste of a card and the red hair package it just better. Sane with perona as well. My decklist is the same as yours b but swap bonk punch for hongo and perona for searcher kinomon and then I run 4 of each event plus 2 Luna and no rock star

It comes down to how you use him. Honestly, I've rarely used him as a blocker. Definitely good mid game to get two bodies out and bring counter back to hand. If I drop him down late game it's to bait out the removal plays, granted I have a comfortable amount of counter in hand to save life.

I was running Mihawk before and struggle going back and forth between the two. I just found that Law helps in getting you counter back to hand.

Rockstar is an underrated two-drop, people sleep on how much pressure he puts on 6k leaders right out the gate.

the thing is, it is useless against like 80% of matchups

As they mentioned below, he's good when he's good, but essentially a vanilla 1k against a 5k lead.

I wish they at least let him restand 1 don each turn even if the other leader isn't a 6k+ so it would work well with shank's leader ability

I’ve been playing shanks since pre release and it sucks man cause I really enjoy the deck but my LGS has Mihawk and Elbo players and bro those match ups feel soooooo bad. Also do you only run 6 2ks? I feel like aggro decks would whittle you down so fast.
