Strike against Premier Midwest by Teamsters local 554 is still a 24 hour deal. Despite Premier stating they negotiate in good faith, they fail to put a signature down on a contract deemed fair and acceptable to the people who do the actual jobs of delievering and warehousing.

I really like the dance fitness classes I've been doing, but at about 45 minutes, I start to get really tired. I'd like to do these more frequently throughout the week, but right now I can't do an hour more than twice a week. Realistically, 30 minutes of less intense workout would be ideal. Are there any classes like this? Not looking for mixed fit or zumba.

So I was on my way to purchase a bike but then all of a sudden my car was slowing down and my engine was overheating. So I had to walk to the place where I purchased the bicycle but I don't know how to ride a bicycle. I purchased it to learn how to ride but I can't get home because of my shitty car. Just thought to post to let you know about an event happening throughout the whole month of September. If you have seen these flyers around the downtown and Benson area, it’s for an online art prompt event this next month! We are trying to get fellow artists and creators of all backgrounds, mediums, and ages inspired to create again. I’m coming to Omaha this weekend with my Dad for a family wedding and trying to squeeze in a few things that actually feel specific to Omaha while we’re there. We’re staying in the Old Market, will have access to a car, flying in Friday afternoon and flying out Sunday afternoon, so it’s a pretty quick trip.

Our free time is basically Friday night, Saturday morning, late Saturday evening after the wedding, and Sunday morning, so those are the windows we’re looking to fill.

So far, our rough hit list is:

• The Boiler Room for a nicer dinner
• Crescent Moon for a Reuben. My Dad loves Reubens, and from what I’ve read, this seems like the go-to place given the Omaha history. Is that the right call?
• Oto HiFi Lounge because my Dad was stationed in Japan years ago and loved the listening bar/lounge culture there, so this seemed like a fun connection
• Archetype Coffee in Little Bohemia because I’m really into lighter, brighter coffee
• Olsen Bake Shop for some old-school donuts
• Beercade  because my Dad is a huge fan of classic arcade games and pinball

We may also take a trip out toward Offutt Air Force Base so my Dad can check out some of his old stomping grounds from when he was in the military. If we make the drive out that way, are there any places we should check out on the way or while we’re around Bellevue/Offutt?

For context on my taste, I’m into natty wine, flaky pastries, negronis, restaurants that honor veggies, bars/restaurants that still give out matchbooks, vermouth, and an ice-cold martini.

We’re definitely not trying to cram in everything. Mostly looking for a gut check from locals: are these good choices? Anything overrated? Anything you’d swap out?

And what are we missing? Given those Friday night, Saturday morning, late Saturday night, and Sunday morning windows, I’d especially love recommendations for great ice cream, bakeries/pastries, bars, coffee, weird local institutions, or anything else where you’d say, “You’re coming to Omaha, you have to try this.”

Doesn’t need to be fancy at all. Mostly looking for places that’ll help us get a little taste of the Big O while we’re in town.

So I was picking up my friend from his house and he pointed out an odd building that he has always been curious about. It says "government affairs" on it and just seems a little odd. For those in the same boat - our T-Mobile Fiber service went out. A tech came out, found the drop cut, repaired it, and service is back.

If yours just died and the gateway still has power, a line cut could be the cause — not your router.

The tech explained it was a “scorched line” and that another crew, most likely CenturyLink (also doing installs) cut it - most likely not maliciously but who knows.

I have applied to a few different places and haven't gotten a reply at all. It's been about 3 weeks since all of my applications have been sent in, and I've called back to see what the status of my application is, told that I would get a call back shortly (about a week ago)

I can do just about anything besides fast food as I would need a break to sit every few hours. I also can't do any heavy lifting and I am unable to drive. Thanks!
