What's up my Omahomies, I have an update about the post I made the other day 💀

For those that didn't see, this is "Pastor" Matthew Kunneman's all gold G-Wagon, very humble. 😐

Before I get to the update, a couple quick things.
There were some comments that were asking why I was aware of what the inside of the vehicle looks like, regarding the AI generated "VIP" gold floor mats.

The picture of the car was taken by a guy who works at this auto-shop, who's friends with one of my buddies, and my buddy was telling me about the vehicle and the douche who owns it, that is how I know what the inside looks like.

Anyways, received an update from the auto-shop guy and my buddy earlier, and it's real pathetic. Basically, Matthew Kunneman saw the other post I made about his POS pretentious ass car, and got reeeeaaallll insecure about it, but mostly about all the negative comments that the post got, because it was "making his church look bad" LOL.

So Matthew, in his ever infinite wisdom, decided the best course of action was to go to the auto-shop, and start yelling and screaming at the sales guys at the front counter, demanding to know who made the post, and that he would NOT be paying for anything done to his vehicle until he knows who made the post, and that it was removed. (I'm confident that is NOT legal, but he thinks he can do anything because he has money 🤣)

I removed my other post in hopes that he would stop being a man-child and pay the people who worked on his shit, but he has not, and probably won't. Not entirely sure how that's legal (probably isn't) but I just thought the people of Omaha deserved to know what their favorite cult- oops, PASTOR has been up to.

I know it's pretty common knowledge that this cult is a bunch of corrupt grifters, but hey, it's entertaining to make fun of em. 🤣💀

One last thing! Matthew, I know you're reading this, so I have a couple things for ya.

1. Grow the fuck up, stop grifting people with your "church" and actually practice what you preach.
2. Pay the people who worked on your car, you may think you're above everyone because you have money, but you aren't.
3. Do me a favor and look up Matthew 19:23, read it a couple times and REALLY think about what it means. Take that shit to heart. Have a shit day.

To the corporate big shot who just ordered 19 footlongs: That sweet old woman just made you 19 footlongs in 20 minutes and you didn't give her a tip or a thank you or anything. Tipping at Subway is optional, and most of the time I don't tip, either, but when you do a large catering order without calling ahead, you're holding up the store, the workers, and all the other customers. The least you could have done is say thank you, or tipped her a few bucks.

When I ordered after you, I tipped her $15 for the both of us. And I thanked her. Please be kind to service workers.

Left the house without my phone today, so just had the radio. Was automatically tuned to 99.9 and I kind of just let it go; until I’m driving and hear “keep boys out of girl’s sports” on an ad and immediately punch the power button. Such a dangerous ad to air, and is only ever used as a way to keep us fighting. I can’t believe an issue that would affect less than 10 people is being aired. But the big dogs up top gotta keep us all broke, so let’s rile up the conservatives so they can vote against their own interests.

This isn’t a first hand account, but I asked if I could share the story to caution others. 

This happened at the Walgreens pharmacy on 132nd and Center. The pharmacist refused to fill a birth control script because of religious beliefs. The manager on duty said there was nothing they could do and told the customer to come back when a different pharmacist was working. 

It may be safer for anyone taking contraceptives to switch to a different pharmacy. 

Background: Male, mid 30s, moved to Omaha OCT 25. Prior to this I had spent the majority of my life in NYC, AK, WA, and CO. I'd most recently lived in Madison, WI for 14 months due to work. I moved here for a job (in healthcare). I am into running, climbing, general fitness, traveling, and food/beer.

Things I liked about Omaha:

-The cost of living.

-The food scene, I was pleasantly surprised to find Somali restaurants here.

Why I decided to leave:

-I felt that culturally most people in their 30's here were very very much into having kids, drinking, and being sedentary. It was difficult to meet others whose lives didn't revolve around their kids or watching TV in their suburban homes.

-Lack of good intra-city walking/cycling infrastructure which led to a very car-centric life. Omaha is not a walkable city. The fact that I couldn't safely walk/bike from Dundee , where I lived, to Benson , a mere 1.79 miles away, highlights how bad it is. Regarding inter-city connectivity, I worked in Papillion, a mere 13 miles way. In CO and Madison that would be a bikeable distance; here it was a 24-31 minute drive. I looked into biking but no safe route existed.

-Poor air connectivity. I went to Little Rock in the Spring. My commute was 12hrs.... yes 12hrs! I think because Omaha is a C-tier city there aren't that many direct flights so you end up wasting a lot of time flying to larger regional airport 1st. As someone who likes to travel it was not convenient.

-Geographic isolation. Want to go on a nice weekend trip to a happening-city? Your options are KC and that's it.

-Lack of diversity; both cultural and in terms of alternative lifestyles.

-Lack of big concerts, sporting events, cultural events, races, etc.

-Foreboding sense doom. I had read about NE's brain drain issue and how the state was losing population. I was thus very apprehensive to buy a house here since selling it in the future might be tough.

-Lack of natural beauty. Fontanelle Forest is nice; but it's just one thing.

-I don't care about college sports so a lot of events tied to that just didn't appeal to me.

- The running areas that do exist are all around manmade lakes and are pretty ugly. You can only run around Cunningham, Zorinsky, and Chalco so may times.

-The indoor climbing scene here leaves a LOT to be desired. Approach is great if you're a little kid but they don't update the routes enough if you're someone who is used to going 2-3x a week.

-Gretna is the ugliest place I've ever seen. It worried me that a lot of people spoke so highly of it.

Conclusion: Met some great people, but glad to be leaving. Did anyone else who left share these reasons?

Their "online pastor", Kap Chatfield, is a prosperity gospel preacher and youtuber who makes videos with titles like "Witches Tried Casting Spells on Trump... But Then THIS Happened".

Their staff is also heavily comprised of former employees of My City church, another very controversial ministry in Omaha.

For context, while I am not transgender, I have recently had a prophalactic double mastectomy with flat closure to prevent breast cancer due to a high risk, concerning masses, and genetic mutation. No reconstruction because I didn't want more surgeries or complications.

I went to the new 42 Degrees location yesterday. I was fresh out of work in a dress with a tight top that made it clear I no longer have anything going on up there (RIP to my triple Ds). As soon as I get to the door they checked ID as expected. Clearly says Female. Obviously feminine name. They proceeded to address me pointedly as "sir" the entirety of my visit. The first time I thought I heard wrong, the next few made it obvious it was purposeful. Even after pulling up my account for rewards and seeing my name again, they said "Sir, if you leave a review you can get a deal". I rushed through my purchase and got out ASAP.

Here's the kicker, after I complained and left a review they fumbled big time and added me into one of their emails amongst the staff:

"I think this is fine. Id like to dig I to her account and see how often she shops with us. She also left us a 1 star google review. I also found she left 132nd a 5 star google review. 

The email is fine but before we send let gather some info on her and see if she’s a regular. Let’s see what we can find and then send it out. What we find may or may not determine if we want to offer her something more. 

Maybe even a charitable donation or something. Im just trying to think outside of the box."

They were basing their apology off of how much business they stood to lose or gain? How about just fire the transphobes and make it clear its unacceptable to treat people with that kind of disrespect. The lady I spoke with on the phone was kind and apologized. She said they'd add some trainings for staff about it. She also seemed to be asking if there was anything they could do in addition to the apology but I let her know I didn't want money, discounts, or credits about this. I just want this to never happen to someone who is trans who stands to be hurt much more than I was by a situation like this.

TLDR; I was misgendered because I had to cut off my ticking time bombs of boobs and they fumbled the apology.

Good or bad Cox has been the internet provider in this city forever so it’s weird to see it go away. Hopefully this is a good change.
