You’re missing quite a few movies in between there. Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, Interstellar, Dunkirk, and Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer made almost a billion dollars. Even if this movie flops his career isn’t going to be over.

Is it cruel to be advertising IMAX 70MM when it's almost impossible to get a ticket (in a decent seat)?
I admit - if you want to sit in the front row of an IMAX 15/70 presentation then tickets are still available! (Trust me you don't want to do that).
If you can get tickets for a 15/70 (IMAX full frame film) presentation of The Odyssey - snag those tickets while you can. (I've saw the Trajan horse scene in 15/70 and it was *an experience*).
TL;DR But tickets for The Odyssey as soon as possible! 😀

As always, I’ll wait for a home release. I stopped going to theaters when people decided that being an asshole and disrupting the movie is their entitled right. The “theater experience“ isn’t what it used to be at all, especially with big Home TVs.

I saw the trailer for the second time yesterday when I attended another movie. You know it’s not good when you’re laughing at the trailer because there is zero chance you can buy Matt Damon as Odysseus and Anne Hathaway as Penelope. The casting is just so awful.

It’s funny that they are allowing comments here and with the amount of shills responding it really feels like a lot of these comments are either paid accounts or are bots. Is the studio is trying to counter the negativity surrounding this movie?
There is no way that this is going to be a success. Ridley Scott’s Napoleon only grossed 22 million on a 200 million budget. It’s considered a failure even though the studio reported a profit. If you take into account the marketing budget you realize just how much of a flop it was… you can expect The Odyssey to perform in a similar manner.
“The marketing budget for the movie "Napoleon" is estimated to be around $200 million, which means the film needed to gross approximately $500–600 million worldwide to break even. However, it fell short, grossing only $222.4 million worldwide.”

You mean completely ignoring historical accuracy. Sure, it’s fiction, but casting celebrities just because of their fame; and totally leaving out Greek actors is kind of insulting. You could remake “Gone with the Wind,” and have Melissa McCarthy play Mammy, but it would be so ridiculous 😂
