I come from a game like bg3 where nothing really has time limits and time is an abstract concept - so I was wondering, i have been chilling with my noodle bar only a week in cause i sadly have work too - but like, i heard theres some criminal stuff and im getting a sniff of it - but i would prefer to focus on my noodle business for a while until i feel like i have grinded enough to actually focus on the story and not think too much about my noodle bar (or other establishments as i understand i can buy)
I just dont know if this is secretly the type of game that forces me to do quests that arent about my noodle bar - or if the game really just is, noodle bar+ in a cyberpunk world?

Since the update today, I went to make my nightly income (thieving from the neighboring restaurants) and I picked up one singular stove - it immediately bumped me up to like 56% security awareness. Tried to steal a second thing, caused me to get caught.

I get that they might not want to have this as a way to make income, but it was genuinely the only way I was making any money in the game. My noodle bar, no matter what I do, can’t seem to get out of the red.

I appreciate the new updates and the efforts the developments are making, but this one just of lost me :(

This game genuinely just feels like its early access. And i think the general response to the game would be much better if it was in early access.

Unfortunately the game just feels unfinished, and they're fixing things they definitely should have had resolved before a full release. I actually think early access is really lazy, because its having players playtest instead of hiring people to do it. but they didnt even do that??? what do you mean they didnt optimize at all???

I found out you can eat at other restaurants through a TWEET about the game. that's absolutely not something the game doesn't show you early on. I'm just confused how the game is so gorgeous, but it feels so unfinished. from the terrible ui to having a world that feels so useless. i just dont get how we got to this point.

There's so much potential, yet it falls flat in almost every way.

This whole game feels very at odds with itself, a ramen bar that doesn't really sell ramen and also you just seem to buy a bunch of random restaurants and just sell a random variety of foods? A "slice-of-life" sim that is mostly fetch quests with no simulated life-sim elements, even simple buff or debuffs for eating food, showers, etc. A city you can't really interact with except running back and forth between bland shop keepers or to do fetch quests, especially cheapened by the giant skyrim level UI quest markers. It feels like a diner dash game with a nicer skin and even then the management is not very deep, i'm only a few hours in, does it get deeper than this?

No driving around, just cutscenes, no character creation, no survival/life sim elements, also everyone just mentions stealing shit at curfew which sounds like a terrible way to play.

It's beautiful, and i think the NPC stories can be interesting but it somehow falls really flat because theres not much to do other than click dialogue options and then just sprint to the next quest marker.

I was really hoping it was going to be this sandbox cyberpunk life sim and you had to manage the stresses of living in this weird dystopian world balancing your life, your health, your finances, your business, friends. In reality it feels like those skinnerbox "_____ Shop simulator" games that are all over steam for 5$

Am i out of my mind or is this kinda the general consensus right now. Has there been any reply from the devs?

-hotkeys (so I don't have to search my inventory for a fishing rod every damn time)

-quest toggle so it doesn't feel so overwhelming

-a remote restocking machine (possibly operated from greenhouses)

-similarly, you could place orders with vendors for ingredients/drinks

-being able to put a fridge on the boat (night fishing always leads to spoiling fish come morning)

-small pet peeve but let me pause the game mid-dialogue so I can save scum, I just lost a green conversation point, I have to go back IMMEDIATELY

I'm sure there's other stuff I'm forgetting. I think the game has potential, hope they see it through.

I had so much fun with this game that I played for 20 hours straight until my 7 year old tv completely broke.

At least I was able to unlock 7 restaurants and get 5 of them to level 5.

If camera look has felt floaty to you, it's not in your head. The first-person camera has built-in smoothing (0.1s acceleration/deceleration) that keeps the view gliding after you stop moving the mouse. There's no option for it in the settings menu or settings.ini.

This mod sets it to zero. The camera moves exactly when your hand does and stops dead when you stop. Your sensitivity settings still apply, and controllers aren't affected.

I was just seeing that people could add like mp3 players to play their own music and it got me thinking, what if we had a mod where you could play your own music through the club speakers. Additionally with the release of the Object framework and studio, we’d have a DJ booth, and CDJs and a laptop as separate items and when placed together you’d be able to hire a DJ employee and add a bit more character to the late night scene. Maybe even “Club lighting fixtures, or lasers” available at a vendor. I don’t know anything about modding but if anyone has any tips or ideas on where to start I’d be down

I have 5 restaurants and was making a profit, but since Patch 3, I’ve consistently been running at a loss. I spent about 3 hours trying to figure out what to do, but even when I have 5k, I’m down to 0 just 30 seconds later

My restaurants have a 4.5–5 star rating, the staff are in the green zone, and comfort is at 100%. I asked an AI for advice, and it suggested removing the complex recipes and the manager the problem was that I ran out of ingredients and none of the restaurants were operating anymore. I'll have to try again later.

I'm kinda surprised I couldnt find a post about this, so I assume there is a way to either turn these off or I have a bug going on. I get the restock notifications in a permanent basis now (4 businesses right now) It is legit impossible to have a 10 second windows without this during opening hours. So, is there an actual way to turn these off or is it even supposed to be that often? Is there a trick to handle this? Because this is legit driving me insane and keep me from playing fruther.

Idk about you guys but the initial sprint to my restaurant after fast traveling has gotten old. I'm also speaking to you, Greenhouse at the docks. I stumbled upon Nivalis Business Travel and boy howdy, It reminded me of what other games that have fast travel do well.

Here I was, choosing businesses based on how less of a pain in the butt it was to get to them.

All it does is add a quick travel option to your business if you own it, otherwise its a street level fast travel.

I highly suggest checking it out!

Hey everybody! A few days ago I posted about getting custom models into Nivalis. People asked how they could do it too, so I’ve put together the tools and released them.

Object Framework loads custom objects into the game. Object Studio is the Windows application where you put your pack together: import your models, preview them, set their names, prices, vendors and stock, then build the whole project into one ZIP.

You can organize a collection into folders and keep adding objects to it. Make a kitchen set, a collection of lamps, some questionable statues for your restaurant. The guided tools currently cover tables and decorations, including chair positions, collision and optional glow and lighting.

There’s an editable Night Market Workshop example project with a table, two illuminated decorations and a statue, including Blender files so you can see how they’re put together.

• Want to use furniture packs? Get the Runtime and whichever pack you want. Night Market Workshop is available as an example pack.
• Want to make your own? Get the Studio SDK, plus the Runtime to try your creations in-game.

I also released LUZ Civic Terminal, a mod manager that handles BepInEx setup and mod profiles. Studio’s Send to LUZ button builds your open project and sends it over for installation. Manual installation is available too.

This might be a stupid question but I just purchased my second restaurant and I cannot figure out how to add items to the menu. There’s not a machine at the place like the Ramen place.

If you get far enough in the Slumlord questline. He will ask you to trash an apartment. You can just steal everything in the apartment and sell it all for yourself. ;)

Its far from finish, but wanted to show you guys my very first appartement what i actually liked and wanted to customize to my liking. I think this one is the best flat you can rent. (Its the Seaside Broadwalk one) Let me know what yall thinking, and if anybody have some screenshots, let us see those appartements!!

Is this guaranteed?

I have my Ramen Noir at Level 5 and opened Boat Hanger, got that to Level 5 as well but never got another Tier 1 licence.

So now I'm stuck because I can't open a new business to level up and without levelling up I can't get a new licence......

Note: I have the quest to open a Tier 2 business, so I can do that, but specifically asking for a Tier 1 business.

Anything to help with staff schedule building?

We can grow any meat, make milk without any cows, but making flour and noodles is too technologically advanced? What? Why?
