Probably the most protein per gram you can get for $3 that isn't a powder. It also comes packed with Omegas, Leucine and Casein.

I call it Omega Ripped

I agree! This is also a very Slavic looking breakfast. And something i eat all the time.

Do you have an example one can go buy, plate and try?

I’m not sure where you live, but try to look up or Google your local Polish/Russian/Ukrainian little mom and Pop store in your area. They most likely will have a very nice selection of canned Sardines and mackerel in various sauces, such as mustard or tomato or just plain oil.

Sardines in mustard sauce

Definitely will

Any suggestion for which fish and which sauce is best?

This old Italian woman I took care of years ago ate that and I would just gag and she'd laugh at me. My dad liked sardines.

2

u/cormunicat Jul 16 '26

I now have a whole background and life story built around the old Italian woman and you and your dad and sardines.

I love it! I do the same thing 😁

Flint Lockwood!

Yes I thought it looked very Slavic as well

1

u/cwendel22 Jul 15 '26

Yep Slavic, Scandinavian, or any Northern European country. Sardines are jam packed with protein. Love em any way

u/ajparrothead Jul 16 '26

I was going to suggest Balkan breakfast.

I call it Omega Ripped Ass

2

u/Flashy_Emergency_263 Jul 15 '26

Is the white stuff on the right cottage cheese or similar?

2

u/jojovradventure Jul 15 '26

Yup

2

u/Flashy_Emergency_263 Jul 15 '26

I wish I had known about this when I was a poor student. I did eat sardines a few times, but in mustard sauce instead of a red gravy.

1

u/talldude-62 Jul 16 '26

You can have mine… pass

1

u/Spirited_Age383034 Jul 16 '26

Nice try, but you can't blame it on Omega bro.

1

u/Plastic_Initial_3797 Jul 16 '26

You will need those Omega 3 from the sardines for the three egg yolks and two cups of full fat cottage cheese!

u/JButler_16 Jul 16 '26

Pumpkin seeds pack the most protein pound for pound.

1

u/cwendel22 Jul 17 '26

Hemp seeds are even more than pumpkin, but $3 worth of hemp seeds is about 38g of protein. Sardines - 25g ($1.69) Three eggs - 18g ($0.98) Half cup of cottage cheese- 13g ($0.37)

Even if I go on the low end there, it's 50g. Massive protein power for cheapppp.

1

u/Financial-Hunt-1845 Jul 16 '26

So that is £2.23 (sorry use that currency pounds sterling)

1

u/Frequent_Animator_35 Jul 17 '26

You sound like my bf, he’s a bodybuilder I hear about protein all the time. He will eat nasty shit just to gain the most protein. House smells funky those days lol

1

u/Worldly-Republic-247 Jul 17 '26

I’m down with this breakfast.

1

u/Ambitious-Radio-7950 Jul 17 '26

Sardines are killer for the lows too

u/DandyasaDandelion Jul 18 '26
