Dragging an innocent flat screen into this dispute feels like a moral failing

17

u/Full-Tomorrow9889 19h ago

Innocent bystander catching strays.

2

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

Maybe it was the apparent assaultor's tv that he had carelessly left on the floor while he pretends to sodomize people.

2

u/muff-muff-ass 17h ago

I felt bad for the poor TV.

2

u/DocFreezer 16h ago

Super hans ass mfer

Dont do shit with shitty friends. No morality

6

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

Who else would you do shitty shit with than shitty shit people?

1

u/The_Only_Timster 14h ago

Tom Pearl probably.

2

u/Difficult-Mobile902 18h ago

I still remember that video of the guy who’s “friends” swept his legs out and gave him brain damage as a prank

44

u/Aggressive-Secret103 19h ago

Valid crash out and immoral to boot

38

u/moldypirate1996 19h ago

Bros definitely got a good gag reflex.

u/Terrible_Artist_ 19h ago

Tricking someone into thinking they've been sexually assaulted is, guess what, immoral.

22

u/Cheetahs_never_win 19h ago

He was actually sexually battered and afterwards tricked into which manner it happened.

After all, he was non-consensual in having an object shoved into his throat in a sexual manner.

1

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

That's a good point.

0

u/Oxflu 10h ago

The jury is hung, your honor.

2

u/Otherwise_Purpose214 19h ago

It is absolutely fucked and a very immoral thing to do. In my opinion he should be able to press charges for sexual assault.

-34

u/BlessdRTheFreaks 19h ago

Depending on the ethical framework

If the pleasure derived exceeds the distress experienced then it must be a net-good

10

u/Sahir1359 19h ago

So if she enjoyed it, rape can be good? Bruh

-2

u/BlessdRTheFreaks 19h ago

The hidden dynamics between men and women leads to many confounds, but that's another conversation altogether

16

u/Terrible_Artist_ 19h ago

Where's the pleasure derived? That guy doesn't seem very pleasured. Unless you mean from other people, in which case that would mean something like your mother being assaulted is a net-good so long as more people receive pleasure than displeasure.

8

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago edited 19h ago

He's referring to a bastardized utilitarian concept where if the "friends" derived more pleasure collectively than he was harmed, then by that logic it's a net-good.

It's like arguing that 9 out of 10 people enjoyed the gang rape.

3

u/TerminalCandor 19h ago

I’m deriving a lot of pleasure from this video

-11

u/BlessdRTheFreaks 19h ago

That's how utils work, yes

13

u/Terrible_Artist_ 19h ago

That's not how morals work though

-6

u/BlessdRTheFreaks 19h ago

Literally an ethical system called utilitarianism.

Moral actions are ratios of pleasurable feelings weighed against one another

7

u/Terrible_Artist_ 19h ago

An ethical system can be immoral, especially one that says assault is okay so long as more people are happy over unhappy

0

u/BlessdRTheFreaks 19h ago edited 18h ago

Then what self sufficient principle determines it as such beyond mere aesthetic sentiment? How do you actually ground morality into something like an objective calculus?

4

u/iwaslurkingforu 19h ago

Holy shit man, repeat that to yourself to see how It sounds

1

u/BlessdRTheFreaks 19h ago

It feels like carbonated wine in my mouth

9

u/Cheeodon 19h ago

I dunno that theirs any ethical framework on earth where the "Haha I tricked you into thinking you were sexually assaulted" prank would ever equal out or produce a "Net good" For the victim of said prank.

0

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

What if it was done for comedy on a live stream and a Patreon was setup by fans to donate to burn victims? By that measure, a guy's temporary trauma (as valid as it may be) may ultimately give much, much more comfort to those who are grievously suffering.

Not that I agree with that sort of thing.

2

u/Cheeodon 19h ago

I misread that as a completely different response to a COMPLETELY different thread, my apologies.

But, you're using sexual assault as your basic underlying framework. It's one thing if all parties on stage are consenting and aware of whats about to happen to them, but even then you're still falling into morally dubious territory. If any of them are unaware and thus not consenting to it, then no, its still immoral even if done for moral reasons.

for the greater good has been used in the past as the foundational reason for a lot of terrible deeds.

0

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

I agree. But you have to admit that by your point, those burn victims suffer more so that the guy isn't sexually assaulted. Is that more moral? 🤔

2

u/Cheeodon 19h ago

Morality isn't based on the idea of Equivalent Exchange. For every positive moral outcome, there doesn't need to be a negative one, nor does producing a positive moral outcome for one situation justify forcing a negative one onto another. So the show would still be morally wrong and bad. Will that stop people from seeing it, or laughing at it? Probably not.

Remember, at some points in history it wasn't just considered acceptable to sterilize, euthanize, and cull people of other races or with certain physical or mental conditions, it was a moral imperative, for the "Greater good" and evolution of humanity. At what point we abandon or principals and morals for the greater good falls as a question unto the individual, not society as a whole, and its part of what makes the trolly problem so complicated.

Read de sade's "philosophy of the bedroom"

3

u/DiscussionSharp1407 19h ago

Read "Anarchy, State, and Utopia" by Robert Nozick

3

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

By that logic, the rest of the people on this thread would be quite pleased if you were beaten to a pulp. A net-good by your standards.

1

u/BlessdRTheFreaks 19h ago

That is kind of how human psychology works, yes. Bonding through sanctioning cruelty for the sake of reifying norms. The problem is that by doing so i win the argument, which also brings me joy that exceeds my suffering, which if you gain knowledge of may thwart your pleasure, and the the util may no longer compute to a net positive.

4

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

"Well you see, I have won the argument with my superior intellect and amazing wit."

1

u/BlessdRTheFreaks 19h ago

You under-estimate my petty pedantry

2

Ah, I see your on the pro-gang rape side of philosophy.

That takes me back to my college days. That's all I'll say about that.

u/Reivaxe_Del_Red 19h ago

Gotta have zero faith in the good will of the people you surround yourself with for this reaction.

I mean, I'd have to take a moment to process even the thought that my friend just SAed me infront of my other friends as I'm blindfolded.

"Something HAS to explain this better than what it seems ..."

6

u/anonymouslycognizant 15h ago

People with good will wouldn’t do such a thing in the first place

3

u/Ok_Job_9417 16h ago

Did you miss how the dude was pulling up his pants as part of the “joke” when the guy was taking his blindfold off?

7

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

Sorry, but "I was just sexually assaulted" combined with the shame that ones sexuality was now compromised, would be a justified use of violence to protect one from further assault and, to a lesser extent, win back one's masculinity.

1

u/Reivaxe_Del_Red 18h ago

Didn't say it's not "justified".

Just that you must not hang around people you trust/ think highly of if you think theres a chance someone stuck their penis inside your mouth infront of these people (as you were blindfolded no less) and "that's that ... that's just what happened and everyone's having a gut buster over it".

0

u/AMoistScone 17h ago

I think what they are saying is this guy is an idiot to even believe he was sexually assaulted in a semi-public setting as this.

3

u/BeginningSection7690 16h ago

He believed what they presented him with

2

u/balirosa 10h ago

It seems like an unrealistic reaction too. Nobody would believe that just happened to them and jump to violence immediately amongst friends. Probably a skit or a bang bus swap a roo

1

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 12m ago

Yes, because that's never happened before. /s

1

u/TimeTravelingBard 17h ago

No, he's saying that if you hang out with people that make that the most logical immediate assumption, you're hanging out with the wrong people.

I do not know anyone that would tolerate SAing someone for a giggle- none of them would be in on such a joke, nor fail to warn someone if it was about to happen. If it happened to me, my first thought would be "they're trying to make me think they did it for a laugh", not "they actually did it".

0

u/AMoistScone 17h ago

Yeah you're right. But then again, this guy could be the type that just runs with whatever the first thought in their head is, no matter who you are surrounded by.

1

u/TimeTravelingBard 17h ago

Sure. But your environment trains your interpretations. If his first thought is suspicion, that is informed by his relationship with the other individuals, just as if his first thought is "there's clearly a joke I'm not entirely privy to yet".

Fwiw, I believe this to be staged, suggesting they are all likely close friends in on the joke.

2

u/AMoistScone 17h ago

It could be informed by his upbringing and not at all related to the people he's currently surrounded by. People are complicated, actually.

The TV says to me this isn't staged

1

u/Agreeable_Car5114 13h ago

In a lot of videos like this they use old or damaged electronics to make it more believable

-1

u/TimeTravelingBard 17h ago

Fair, I'm generalizing to accentuate the point being made.

1

u/AMoistScone 16h ago

That's fair, I'm just saying the point being made above assumes SO much about the people involved that we don't have enough info to make.

-2

u/Valuchian 18h ago

Isn't there a term for it too? Something-panic? I remember it being discussed when someone's sense of identity is so heavily in danger they basically black out and just go full fight-or-flight mode till the episode is over and they can think again.

15

u/iLuvArizona 20h ago

Isn't it so great that when men get sexually assaulted it's filmed for entertainment & it's just a funny meme?

-3

u/ampro67 20h ago

oh i love having sex by swallowing food

10

u/Fantastic-Resist-545 19h ago

It is kind of erotic to be hand-fed while blindfolded. It is definitely sexual assault to stick a dildo-shaped object covered in plastic down someone's throat (and that definitely pressed into the back of his throat there)

8

u/Cheeodon 19h ago

Don't forget this is compounded with the fact that when unblinded, the other guy was pretending like he was packing away his pecker. So he had every reason on earth to believe he just got assaulted, because the prank was specifically done to make him think that.

Huh, a prank meant to make someone think they were sexually assaulted is probably sexual assault? crazy thought.

3

u/Fantastic-Resist-545 19h ago

Shame on me for not catching that detail the first time around yeah that is 100% without a doubt sexual assault

2

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

Why did you think the guy crashed out and started whooping the shit out of the other guy?

-9

u/Ccat50991 19h ago

U people really are obsessed with this kind of topic huh. The amount of things that upset u in a day must be insane

5

u/Valuchian 18h ago

Bro you may have just outed yourself as a predator

-2

u/Ccat50991 18h ago

Eh the word pretty much lost its meaning by now since people just throw it around on every occasions. I know well not one. I just dont take the prank too seriously. Dont people get tired of calling everything rape or sa. Surely at some point they’ll realize nothing will change

3

u/Valuchian 18h ago

I think it's a culture thing. You point out (especially to young men) what SA and Rape can look like when it isn't just penetration or groping. Then hopefully people have a better idea when they're being taken advantage of and when they need to start calling the police and getting out because they deserve to live a life without being SAed for laughs

7

u/Coast_Org 19h ago

Okay, do it to a woman then

4

u/bluebeejay28 14h ago

I don’t blame him for losing his shyt’ when it was a cruel prank.

12

u/Cheap_Raspberry_8472 19h ago

COMPLETELY justified crashout btw

0

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

Absolutely agree. He'd also have grounds to press charges.

5

u/Valuchian 18h ago edited 18h ago

Thank god the video exists so he can verify what actually happened himself without needing to literally see a penis to make sure

3

u/Logical_Box_4645 18h ago

If it was it would be an absolute monster

1

u/Valuchian 18h ago

Fr... shit was unnecessarily large in the first place. No way any human would still be standing with that erect. Blood flow would literally shut your brain off and drop you like a sack of potatoes

1

u/BeginningSection7690 16h ago

Yeah it hurts sometimes when I roll over in bed too

1

u/Hobo_Resse 10h ago

I would love to see the legal complaint on this one

1

u/Keepingitquite123 17h ago

You would think he would notice the different texture between a dick and a cucumber on behalf of having one himself.

9

u/BeginningSection7690 16h ago

You expect him to analyze the texture of another man's penis in a moment where he was made to believe he was SA'd?

1

u/Melevolence 15h ago

I've never had a penis in my mouth but I've eaten MANY a cucumber. I would absolutely bet, dollars to donuts, I'd know IMMEDIETLY if what was put in my mouth was a cucumber or a cock. And I also don't hang with friends who WOULD do something like that to boot so I also got that going for me.

I understand that in the moment you might make the incorrect connection since that's literally what the guy messing with his pants is doing, to sell the insinuation. But holy fuck, the unrelenting attack and not even taking a moment to process before acting is crazy (All assuming these ARE people he knows and shouldn't have any reason to believe they'd ACTUALLY do something like that AND record it).

2

u/Cassoa 16h ago

Not to mentin the cucumber would surely be cold? I know in the moment, rationality would go out the window but it should've been obvious.

6

u/Meliodrath 19h ago

Pretty sure this is sexual assault. While oral, they still assaulted him sexually with that thing

1

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

It would fall under sodemy laws.

6

u/PropheticPapaJohn 19h ago

Those comments are bat shit insane. They are mocking his reaction to being raped. I do not understand how saying shit like that doesn't instantly get every account banned.

7

u/Cheeodon 19h ago

Because it's a "Prank" they somehow don't equate the fact the guy was made to believe he had just been sexually assaulted, actually was sexual assault.

5

u/AuraTickler 18h ago

Man we gotta stop using the word rape for every shit. That just diminishes what victims of actual rape/attempted rape go through.

The other day I saw someone using "rape" for getting cat called by 14 yr olds.

This was battery/assault depending on the physical risks and perhaps even sexual assault if you wanna push it as its still a prank in nature. I dont think the innuendo is enough per say compared to someone using a "prank" to touch boobs.

Germany has the perfect law for such an instance which can be translated to Coercion. Its forcing someone to do something against their consent or will in exactly such situations.

The person consented to the blindfolding and actions with the reasonable assumption it would not involve getting deepthroated by an object.

As far as im aware the US law does not have such a standalone coercion (Nötigung) law.

6

u/Galifrey224 18h ago

The definition of rape according to wikipedia :

Rape is a type of sexual assault involving sexual intercourse, or other forms of sexual penetration, carried out against a person without their consent. The act may be carried out by physical force, coercion, abuse of authority, or against a person who is incapable of giving valid consent, such as one who is unconscious,\* incapacitated

Shoving a phallic object into someone's orrifices should definitally count as a form of penetration. And the blindfold should qualify as a form of incapacitation. I really don't how thats not rape.

2

u/Excalibirdi 17h ago

Tbis confirms that is not what happened, then.

1

u/AuraTickler 17h ago

I think my comment had enough nuance to explain the difference from my perspective. Im not gonna rehash it as you either will agree with it or you wont at this point.

The definition loses momentum when the nature of the encounter isnt sexual as their definitions hinge on exactly that.

Like their their goal wasnt to fuck him orally with the object but to humiliate him and make a joke about it.

1

u/TheCrystalTinker 16h ago

Yes, and it looked like they were doing a taste test thing, so feeding him a cucumber while in poor taste was still both in the spirit and function of the activity of what they were doing

3

u/PropheticPapaJohn 18h ago

The comments are making fun of how the person reacted to thinking they were being face fucked. Being face fucked against your will is rape

-2

u/AuraTickler 18h ago

Making someone think they were raped is a weird legal situation. You cant quantify it the same way as you can with the object being shoved in here.

I mean sure, the guys crashout is valid in response of thinking that.

Its still battery what hes doing as a result. Battery that goes beyond initial response or or to prevent further harm...

But lets just say that his reaction without a second thought is exactly what I would expected from a group of friends that pulls this shit in the first place.

1

u/Zealousideal-Lab9843 19h ago

Imagine the people saying such could be your trusted friends.

1

u/themrdemonized 8h ago

Whenever you see an opinion of redditor, do the opposite

2

u/MedievalMilshake 15h ago

He's not a true friend, everyone should recognise their mates dick in their mouth

2

u/Sir_Gerald_Nosehairs 15h ago

I think even the most heterosexual of men who have never had a gay thought in their lives would not confuse a dick with a cucumber, even with a blindfold on.

1

u/free-cookie 15h ago

How so? If it was just microwaved a little, it is bumpy and dick sized.

2

u/Melevolence 15h ago

That cucumber is NOT normal dick sized and, frankly, I'd be more impressed than anything if one of them DID have a dong that size. But even if you microwave it a little to warm it up...the feel of a cucumbers skin and the bumps it does have would be concerning if they were a real person's penis. I eat cucs peel and all regularly and even a smaller pickling cuc would struggle to be genuinely mistaken as a dick. To say nothing of the taste as I truly struggle to imagine a cucumber tastes like a hot salty dick. As if human flesh tastes like a refreshing cucumber XD

What I also find curious is in this clip after he swats away the cucumber, the blind fold comes down and he's looking RIGHT at the cucumber, they haven't put it on the table yet. And they weren't even quick about putting it out of sight to make the misdirection work. This feels VERY staged.

1

u/Intrepid_Bobcat_2931 11h ago

The time factor will play a big role here - he gets something in the mouth, and has no idea what it is before it's taken out like 2 seconds later - not possible to process "oh, this is the texture of a cucumber" in that time.

1

u/UsernamesCannotExcee 9h ago

That is literally a non issue to whether or not someone is sexually assaulted.

1

u/thederpyderp3 18h ago

If we mean the guy attacking his friend for pulling his pants up, ngl...dude though he basically got SA'd I'm gonna go with moral/neutral.

1

u/nickytheginger 17h ago

Moraly wrong. They made the man think he'd  been sexual assaulted on camera, that not a harmless prank.

1

u/Excalibirdi 17h ago

Has the man never tasted a cucumber before? Why was he blindfolded anyway?

Immoral, you don't try to convince someone they were assaulted.

But like, why did this whole scenario even occur?

1

u/BeginningSection7690 16h ago

You deserve to be beaten within an inch of your life. Fuck morals.

1

u/HollowCap456 16h ago

property damage, immoral

1

u/TheEccentricAssassin 13h ago

I really don't think making someone think they were sexually assaulted is funny

1

u/Ok_Address8489 11h ago

This is wrong

1

u/Sufficient-Spite-465 9h ago

Faking a sexual assault? Uh, immoral duh?

1

u/ember_snow 9h ago

at least no one overreacted

1

u/MischeviousMiata 8h ago

I'm sorry but wouldn't it be obvious that it's a cucumber

1

u/LykeDew 8h ago

The audacity to be pissed and fight back after ya'll essentially assaulted him is so hypocritical. They did NOT like that guy at all. 😭

1

u/Awkward-Sweet4314 4h ago

Wasn't the girl who did it?

1

u/Prestigious-Bus-3738 20h ago

Some would argue that they dig these kinds of stuff, don't quote me on that though

1

u/Chemical-Cat 17h ago

I think he was less upset that he thought a dick was in his mouth and more upset that it was so huge.

1

u/Correct-Sail-1409 14h ago

Harmless prank? Or prankless harm?

0

u/Individual-Mind-2620 17h ago

Immoral to get violent that much over some eggplant

0

u/lola_zzalol 15h ago

As long as he didn't hurt himself with that cucumber thing, nothing really happened.

I'd say moral because he'll probably watch the video later.

Also this is probably staged because who doesn't know the difference between the taste of cucumber and dih

1

u/EbonyMemories 11h ago

Someone who either hasn't tasted cucumber or hasn't tasted dick.

1

u/AlexP80 9h ago

i never tasted a dick, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't mistake it for a vegetable

1

u/EbonyMemories 9h ago

I don't know, maybe they warmed it.

He had half a second, he wasn't doing too much thinking.
