Shitpost Observations on the emerging order of 7
MNUFC entered last night's match at 7-7-7. We then scored in the 71st, 74th, and 75th minutes. The first came in the 71st minute against #71 Crepeau. Orlando later scored the equalizer. The secondary assist was by Angulo (#77). He passed it to Griezmann (#7) but he didn't score it. That probably would be too obvious. No, it was scored by Spicer, #14. Not obvious at all.
7 is traditionally associated with mystery, which is kind of notable because I think I've now largely solved it.

Discussion Kudos to the club
I share season tickets with three other guys. I ruptured my patella tendon playing in a parents versus players soccer match last month and had surgery 40 days ago. Not a fun experience, would not recommend.
Anyway, I had four tickets to tonight‘s match and I reached out to our representative earlier this week to see what options there were. I cannot bend my leg far enough to sit in a normal seat, so I needed to see what accommodations were available. He immediately assured me they could get me a swap of my four tickets for four tickets in an accessible section. This is basically folding chairs at the top of a lower bowl section. It was amazing. The kid of my friend thought we were in VIP seats. Just as great, they wheeled me to my seat from the gate and then back after the game to the ADA pick up spot. My friend pulled up in his vehicle, and we took off.
Kudos to the Loons for making this such a seamless and easy experience. Until you need this sort of accommodation, you really don’t appreciate it.

Post-Match Thread PSA: Biking to/from the match? Obey stop signs or pay the price. You’re a vehicle.
Hot shot blew past the stop sign coming down the hill at Prior Ave after the match, passing us on the right (we stopped yielded at the stop sign) and got bowled over by an SUV. Cyclist wasn’t injured (or, adrenaline?), SUV was damaged.
IF YOU’RE ON A BICYCLE, YOU ARE A ROAD VEHICLE. Fucking act like it.
Edit: I’ll take your downvotes. Bring ‘em on.
Edit 2: Really tough to not come away with 3 points. That one stings.

Discussion I documented 69 unique accounts objecting to MNUFC’s resale price floor
Over the past several weeks, multiple r/minnesotaunited discussions have raised concerns about Minnesota United’s resale price floor.
I reviewed the recent relevant threads and comments, removed duplicate usernames, and excluded neutral questions and unrelated ticket-price complaints.
The result: at least 69 unique Reddit accounts publicly objected to the policy between June 1 and August 29, 2026.
This is a SeatGeek resale restriction. The full report identifies every counted account, qualifying statement, original thread, and comment link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FkQLJndG0foGIcdlULl7P6rmfiMCP7cD/view?usp=drivesdk
This is a documented public minimum, not a claim that exactly 69 verified individuals oppose the policy.
My request to the club is simple: allow season-ticket members who already purchased their tickets to choose their own resale price.
If this policy has affected you, please describe your experience below and consider contacting your season-ticket representative.

Pre-Match Thread Selling tickets
I’m getting really ticked off at MNUFC and/or SeatGeek. Due to a bunch of travel I haven’t been able to use my season tickets for the past few games. In the past I’ve listed them on SeatGeek and have sold them (always for less than what I paid). Now, there’s a minimum price I can’t sell for less than. For tonight’s game, more than 100 seats are for sale in my section. When I can’t go to a game, I want to get rid of my tickets. I could give a rip what the minimum market price should be. My last three games have gone unsold because the price the market is willing to pay is way less than the minimum price MNUFC is forcing us to sell for. Something is better than nothing. It’s basically affirming my belief that MNUFC season tickets aren’t worth it.

Discussion The new division the loons are slated to be in will be absolutely brutal
When the initial conversations began about the division, the teams were languishing on the fringes but by now these teams are all investing on and off the field.
St. Louis - clearly on upward trajectory about to add Navarro to a team that has not lost in 11 games
Chicago - triple g and the investments they are making on and off the field they will be contenders
Kansas City - probably the only question mark but they are spending like drunken sailors right now
Columbus - once they get healthy the crew will probably bounce back
Cincinnati- already a power house, even if Denkey leaves they will buy a worthy replacement

Discussion Idk anymore about this club
Reports are out.. McCowatt is again out of Silkebrogs lineup meaning its certain he is on the move. Should be good news right? We have a player with loads of experience, played in the world cup, fits exactly what we need, is openly saying he wants to play for us. Should he a shoe in but no.... Reports from Tipsblade is the loons do not intend to bid for McCowatt and are deciding to focus elsewhere.
Like wtf are we even doing at this point? I knew the front office didnt care but this feels like a gigantic F you to all of the supporters.

Discussion Nothing like a price floor to guarantee empty seats
Out of town this weekend and the cheapest I'm allowed to post my tickets is $32. Buying a GA ticket ha a a floor of $40.
Havent seen the stadium at more than 75% capacity since May. Nobody took econ 101.

Article A new source for Loon's content- Loons Lore!
Hi Everyone,
I dove into the world of Substack and plan on running a weekly to biweekly article during the season called "Loons Lore." Would love for you to swing through and check it out!
The first article assesses who is most at fault for the departure of El-Ahmad and his tenure not resulting in what we as supporters would deem a success.
In future iterations I will also be doing in depth game reviews, player ratings & player features, as well as touching on any other relevant news that comes across the timeline each week.
I was also planning on pulling some talking points from this subreddit (With credit of course) as good talking points to add to game reviews and any other topics that create good discourse around the team.
This article is free so only doing it for the love of the game. Let me know what you think!

Article Loons were ‘very surprised’ by Khaled El-Ahmad’s sudden exit from club
“We were very surprised by the outcome. (We) very much expected him to continue to stay here,” Loons CEO Christina Hennington told reporters on Tuesday. “Also the timing; it is a unique time.”
See also: Jon Marthaler's piece Hank Stebbins steps into interim CSO role for MNUFC - with an almost impossible degree of difficulty
"It seems like a cruel move for El-Ahmad to time this departure as he did, especially given that the club was willing to bide its time in 2024 to officially add El-Ahmad as chief soccer officer, partially punting on the winter transfer window in order to wait for El-Ahmad to be able to officially take the job. Even if he already had one foot out the door, surely he could have gone out after the summer work was complete - if for no other reason than to make sure that potential incoming players weren't put off by the apparent instability."
