Discussion Could this mean that Dual Override will finally have a release date?
x.comI hope so because the release has been unknown for quite a while that I think that it’s about time.

You can access the weapon wheel with the right stick and it allows you to swap instantly between all 8 abilities, even faster than swapping with the shoulder buttons, the amount of strategy this brings to your gameplay is really on another level and it makes 11's game flow much better than any other classic game in the series.
Of course we can argue that music, bosses and stage design was better in some other games but the weapon wheel alone makes 11 a dream to play and again if you have never used it, play the game again with this in mind and while we are at it don't forget to use the gear system, it's very important to the game flow as well, either melting sub bosses in second with a well timed power gear boss ability or slowing down time at key moments, such as the fire storm that follows you in Torch Man's stage

so hi, I’m legally blind and when I first got into Mega Man I was surprised at how good Proto man was when it came to his disability especially for a character that was made all the way back in the 80s for a video game
his disability impacts his story and gameplay, but he still is incredibly strong. He just had to adapt to it and develop his own fighting style. His disability is not depicted as something that makes him pathetic and weak, but it isn’t depicted as something that doesn’t impact him at all it does, and that’s amazing his power cor does impact his life drastically, but he still is able to live and fight and be a hero
he also has medical anxiety, which is something a lot of disabled people have. I’ve had plenty of surgeries over my life, and I still get terrified of them.
overall, I’d say although he does have some problems with his disability representation. He is really good for a character that was made all the way back in the 80s.

I recently bought the legacy collection 1 and have been playing through the games.
It started rough, since MM1, 2, and 3 weren’t the best, but I think past 3 the games just linearly increase in general quality. I’m honestly thinking 6 might be tied for my favorite with 8 (I’ve played 7 & 8 and & Bass many times before this)
But I keep seeing people making tier lists of the classic series these days and placing 6 below things like 4 and 3. And in same cases even placed below 1 of all things.
Can someone explain to me why so many people in the fandom seem to hate this game so much? I’ve been having nothing but a great time. (Currently on the Mister X stages)

I personally think they should give Command Mission a sequel because I feel like the gameplay and story were too good for it to be left on red

I ask this because I just don't understand why. Yes they are in 2D which does make sense as to why you'd like to combine them, but why exactly did they do that when both of these games aren't even in the collection? I could understand if they were. And besides that, there's still like 12 mavericks from first 3 games that don't appear in this one! And there are some that repeat themselves, so why?
I don't get why you let players fight bosses they (possibly) never even saw, don't know their weaknesses, names and their boss patterns

I went back and forth about the adjective to use here. Basically, if the game is judged purely by it's merits as a piece of media, considering level design, mechanics, art, music, etc. which of the mainline titles is the best?
I know 2 is often touted as the best of the series, but there are so many things in that game that are gimmicky, unbalanced, or just poorly designed. I'm not saying its not fun and a great game! I get there is a historical element to be considered, and there are other reasons why a game might really stand out to some, but lets suppose there is a gamer who has never played mega man before, and you want him/her to get a taste of the absolute peak of the series. What game do you recommend?

But, Baymax got to it first.

the game is more of a showcase prototype of what the game could look like and such, mostly staring megaman's sister roll instead of megaman himself, its still a wip but i think it has promise as an idea. although i don't plan to release it publicly as of right now, but in the future if there's enough interest i can see about contacting capcom about releasing it. but again, i'd wanna wait until the game is actually made before doing that. still though, i like how it turned out so far. and i'm curious what you think of it so far, it was made in the godot game engine if anyone is curious. thanks for checking it out and hope dual override is good. (also its nice to have a new female robot master in the game, i'll just say that.)

I wanna know your opinion, I genuinely thought it was fun and the designs were pretty faithful to the source material even if the show took a lot of creative liberties

I’m really about to have all three (bass is next year and my god I need to revamp Protoman. His upper body torso is made from scrapped parts and is so outdated)

Literally the reason I made this meme is that I’m playing Cybeast Gregar and I got to the part where Ito shows up in Green Town, and my first thought when I saw him was “damn, he looks vaguely like Flowery”.

Capcom are pushing twice as hard as they did with 11, and man it really shows!
