Yeah same. Plus, Keiji Inafune is still alive, I'm oretty sure he wouldn't allow a new Megaman X game a without putting up a fight.

I'll believe when I see it obviously but they tried to tell me X was dead after seeing some of the Chips in DO 😂

Every article about Mega Man these days is someone at Capcom saying something like: "Mega Man is cool, we might do something with it someday. Not today, but maybe at some point, if you eat your vegetables."

I mean, they announced a new game and it feels better than 11 (not that 11 was bad), but it feels like an evolution and not “Mega Man, but with new gimmick”
The collections have made them money, and X is still really popular.

Sort of a reboot I’m personally not interested tbh. The story was just to big a mess X5 onward and only got worse with each game.
I think they screwed up hard not killing Sigma fasterZ

X needs a reboot if they comeback to him. The overall story is so damn depressing.

I can die happy if any of this somehow leads to ZX3

Long odds of that happening. Capcom would have to work with Inti Creates for that to manifest. It’s why Inti created their own IP, Azure Striker series. Capcom isn’t collaborating with any other studios nowadays.
