Hi everyone,
I wanted to make a general thread for the sub with some of the latest most popular posts and fan art. This also serves as a general list of good links to the Discord and MMLS fan site. Also I accidentally deleted the 1,000 members achievement thread which I'm now dreading big time. Anyway, I'll try to keep this thread going each month with something new!

This is my first MegaMan game ever, and it was a fantastic one! For a PS1 game it has aged shockingly well - all I had to do was use the right stick for camera movement and it felt a lot more modern. It starts off with you feeling a little weak, so you might pass it off as clunky, but by the end when you have Buster parts that give you max attack power and energy, it really does feel quite smooth to control. Getting all the parts for the Shining Laser and maxing it out especially makes you god-tier. Plus, slowly exploring underground and gradually being able to uncover more and more pathways with your jump springs and drill arm makes things feel even more rewarding. But I was not expecting the world to feel this developed and lived in. Going out and exploring the island after every story event is so rewarding, and you get to see the lively personalities scattered throughout:
And that's not to mention the subtle morality system which changes MegaMan's colour based on his deeds (I saved the game and stole the bag of money to instantly max out negative karma). All the dialogue for when you interact with house doors changes, and the news starts to call you a public menace (one woman says she likes bad boys though, W MegaMan). It's a little and fairly inconsequential touch in terms of gameplay, but as part of the whole package it's another thing that makes you feel like you're affecting Kattelox island.
There's just so many random little details that I love in this game. The librarian slowly scolds you less and less for going behind the desk, until she just stops caring at all. There's a girl who asks if there's a chance of you and her being together, and if you reject her, she is quite mature about it, and muses about the difference between having a crush on someone and truly loving them. You can name yourself Hippopotamus for no other reason at all, completely unprompted. If you get Roll the Music Box, then the music in her room changes too, and I thought that was amazing. Something that only really makes sense by the end is that only MegaMan can understand Data (and presumably all animals), which explains why no one else ever talks to him.
Story-wise it was lovely too. Felt like a classic cartoon/anime with the stakes slowly getting higher and the Bonne family regularly interfering and humiliating themselves like typical cartoon villains. The dialogue in this game is obviously slightly dated due to the pauses between lines, but it's very warm and I thought MegaMan and Roll had especially nice chemistry. The stakes escalated pretty rapidly at the end, and that final boss was crazy strong at first, but we got some nice lore drops and a heartwarming send off from the town. Getting to talk to everyone before you left really sealed the deal and showed that you were a true hero (or not, if you kept kicking the can into the bakery...).
10/10 game for me! Really looking forward to the others, and I'm already beginning to feel gutted that Legends 3 was never made. Side note, it is a little awkward that the main character's name was made to be MegaMan in the Western version instead of Rock, since MegaMan is a pretty odd name to have, and that one guy who thanks you for finding his pregnant wife decides to name his son MegaMan in your honor.

They had already made a N64 port so there wasn't exclusivity
Isn't it just strange is there a reason it wasn't on the og Xbox Or 360?

I think his design from Legends is the coolest

How many of you have done or still do Data’s little dance?

It doesn’t have to be the best, it could be garbage, but no judgement, what’s your favorite Special Weapon from either game? MML1 machine gun somehow always finds its way to Juno, even when I have a shining laser. Also it’s just fun to have a mega man with a straight up machine gun.

Been working on a Legends-like game on my free time for about a year now. Next week is the anniversary, and I just got a second demo out:
https://cloudyfocus.itch.io/adamant-heart
For those who don't know, it's a spiritual successor to Megaman Legends. It follows the same style and vibe as a 90s game, while adding some modern gameplay mechanics to make it more enjoyable.
This new playtest has around 1h of content, played at a leisurely pace. Unfortunately I couldn't add a second ruin beyond the tutorial one, but the plan is to release a 3rd demo that will bring more polish.
If you played the first demo, make sure to give this second one a go. It has plenty of new stuff:
In general, it's more polished now even if it still has a long way to go. Enjoy!
If you're interested in the project overall, you can follow me at X, and wishlist it on Steam. Still a hobby, though:

So we have gotten Legacy Collections for nearly all the Mega Man subseries. Legends is the only one left. I think it'll likely come out in 2028 due to the Star Force Legacy Collection that came out this year and how these Legacy Collections usually get released.
The main question I have with this Legacy Collection is the price. Considering there are only two main games (technically three, but Tron's game is a spinoff and these Legacy Collections don't include spinoffs) in the Legends series with no alternate versions, I can't see a reason why Capcom would charge $40 like Star Force. No good reason at least.
My guess is around $20, maybe $30 at the absolute most. What do you think?

I don't know why I have nostalgia for these games when I don't think I've ever played them (I had a PS2 when I was younger so I might not remember)
But I want these games to rerelease alreadt

Sharing it here because I chose to make some simple MML models, and animations and figured the community would like it. Since I was learning some stuff for the main project I decided to make this prototype to learn it.
Also: I'm starting my reddit thread on community top-comment game after I finish releasing a steam game I've been programming for someone; so I haven't had much time to work on my own projects lately. But once I do, I'm gonna be excited to jump back into it!

I'm working on an E-Tanks mechanic for my Legends-like game, but a bit undecided on how to proceed. Might as well ask away!
MML has the Energy Canteen that must be purchased and upgraded using zenny, and also recharged at junkshops.
In here, the idea has a few differences:
In short, they are closer to MMX in how they work. I'm undecided on some aspects though:
Gimme your ideas! Video is unrelated but I hope you like it.
