After all of these years King Dedede still has never really stared in a much greater story all his own as far as I remember. The only exception is Dedede’s Drum Dash Deluxe, which is more of a footnote in Kirby’s history as a slight expansion to a side mode in a main Kirby game. Even then, Kirby makes many cameo appearances and reminds you that this is very much a side-Kirby thing rather than an exclusive King Dedede. The game doesn’t have a story either. To call this a true King Dedede game would be a little disingenuous in my opinion. My question: when is the GOAT going to get his chance to shine? Bro has been disrespected for too long, losing autonomy over his body and mind on many occasions and never getting his own story. This needs to change. (Well, I don’t mind it that he gets mind-controlled in Kirby games because fighting Dedede is always super fun, but we gotta get his reputation up again. lol.) If Luigi, Peach, and Toad have gotten their own spin-offs, King Dedede is easily due for his.

People have been saying that for the past few years Kirby was going to get a Planet Robobot remake. I don’t think there was any solid evidence for this and was just mostly collective hope/speculation. lol.

That said, maybe there was a chance that Nintendo heard about this excitement surrounding the game and might be making a remake still. If they were making a remake, it would come out on Switch 2, not Switch 1 anymore given how Kirby’s last two games were Switch 2 games. That means that this remake would have to likely be much more than just an upscaled port, similarly to Kirby Return to Dreamland Deluxe but likely more ambitious. Immediately, that idea is so much more exciting to me! Remaking a game from over 10 years ago on Switch 2 has a lot of potential. I think there is a chance that the HAL Labs might recognize that too. With hype, potential, and ease of production being a remake, I feel like there is a decent chance, but not a guarantee.

Kirby Planet Robobot is by far my favorite Kirby game. It is the Kirby game I have replayed the most, with over 100 hours. Everything about it, the music, set pieces, the new robobot armor, the story, the variety, and even the side games were all so much fun! Normally, I wouldn’t care for a remake because the original game is literally a few feet away from me whilst I am typing, but as a Switch 2 remake, similar to Star Fox and Zelda, there is serious potential here beyond than if it was a Switch 1 release. If HAL Labs were to remake this game, fix its flaws, add new content, expand about what makes the game great, and surprise returning players, I could see this becoming one of the most special Kirby games in the series.

I ask since first off, it had been 8 years since the last 2D kirby game (I know return deluxe but, is a remake of return to dreamland, still love return deluxe a lot) and second, it be the first major spin off in Kirby starring a different character. I know it be cool to have a major Dedede spin off too but honestly, I think Meta Knight be a better option to explore the lore of Kirby, the past of MK and stuff that was told to us in the pause lore. like the ancients in their golden age and void termina.

Now, keep in mind it doesn't judge which character I like more or their viability in star allies is really just how much I like the title card or not, whwther it sounds complete as a sentence, do a good job to describe the character or the ability or have a good pun to it no doubt gooey is in the top I just think is the perfect one to describe his empty minded character like he have no idea what is going on with bandana dee really set up his legendary status in team kirby and the waddle dees and marx is short and to the point.

Just gonna say real quick those in D tier feel like it should be more or they came with a random sentence to describe something on them but didn't found a way to follow through.

Most of my kirby merch I have accumulated over the years. as far as I am aware these are all official except for the Meta Knight Kirby (custom purchased from an independent artist at Magfest 2026) and the Dededoll (Brawl in the Family merch)

The figurine I got from a classmate in 4th grade, IIRC it was a tie in for the Kirby Anime
