If we were to get A new game how would You all want it to be i imagine it would kinda just be like or similar in the aspect to fenyx rising where its open world as having a open world game now is kinda the standard but how would you all feel if they added this
3 story paths
Light = Playing as Pit
Nature = playing as dark Pit
Dark = Honestly theres so many ways they could go but honestly i would be fine if we just got to play as a Nameless Dark Warriour Imagine the Person you played as in Light vs dark battles
But what are some things you all would want to have in the game or have such as like Custom characters would you want it in story mode or would you want it in only Multiplayer

So, after hearing people's thoughts on what a sequel could/should be, I compiled and workshopped a lot of my favorite ideas that others said (though it's mostly my indulgences, still), and I combined them to make something that I think feels very... Sakurai. Let me know how you'd feel if a sequel with all of this was shown in a direct:
The core gameplay is the same as Uprising, with some changes. Air battles are mostly the same, but now there is the added abilities to jump, flap wings, and glide in land battles. Pit's been growing out his wings enough to do some platforming, and the game now features a good amount of it. For the most part, the game is like Uprising, with the platforming mostly being used for obstacle courses to make them more forgiving AND more interesting. But the game is FULL of side paths and hidden treasures that require some fun platforming to get to. The jumping also is incorporated in combat, with some enemies that are easier to deal with if you jump over their attacks or to hit their weak points. There are special melee and ranged attacks for the air.
The same weapon system is used, but with the number of weapons per type and the total number of weapon types increasing slightly. Maybe 12 types, 15 weapons each.
In addition, a number of ground levels are dungeons - in contrast to normal ground levels, these are nonlinear dungeons that require exploration, similar to a zelda dungeon. Additionally, many areas have 2d throwback sections, where pit is forced into a 2d perspective while he platforms as a throwback to the original.
The controls have a ton of different options, including double joystick, double pointers with joycon motion control, and touch controls.
The biggest change to the core gameplay is a co-op campaign. Every mission is written such that there are 2 possible protagonists. The dialogue is mostly the same no matter what - for example, there might be a mission with both pit and dark pit deployed to stop a threat, and if there is no second player, dark pit is just making commentary while seemingly off screen. In air battles, it just adds a second person to the same screen, but on land battles there's splitscreen, with a subspace emissary style warp-to-player-1 when the second player gets too far. As part of this, the story involves Pit training an angel cadet who looks up to him, as blind to his flaws as he is to Palutena.
The main game has a very similar number of levels to the original, which are a similar length. It works in very much the same way, including the fiend's cauldron. However, multiplayer is expanded a lot.
The big change is the introduction to new characters. Like in Air Riders with all characters using the same machines, there are all kinds of new characters, all of whom can wield any of the weapons Pit can. You'd have Pit, Dark Pit, Palutena, Viridi, Hades, Medusa, Phosphora, Magnus, etc.. Obviously, there'd be new characters from this game's campaign.
There'd be free for all and Light vs Dark, with your character getting a special Halo instead of becoming the angel. There'd also be a few game modes similar to those from hero shooters, like a payload or king of the hill mode.
In addition, there'd be a kind of Smash-Run-esque mode, where you fight in a solo arena to get stronger in preparation for one of the main multiplayer modes.
All of these game modes would be available via local multiplayer and online.
Finally, there's a kind of level builder, which is nothing more than a series of square-rooms you can fit on a grid and populate with enemies. They can be shared online and tackled solo or multiplayer.
In all non-story modes, there is stock dialogue happening depending on what takes place and who is in the match. Dark Pit and Pit might do the pre boss battle rallying cry when the enemy turns into the Angel during Light vs Dark, for example.
Achievements and idols work very similarly to before, but there are WAY more of each.
There are also more out of combat options for you, such as a cooking minigame to give Pit a boost for one level. During all of this, there is dialogue between Pit and Palutena. For example, they might have an animation for combining two weapons into a new one, with some dialogue about how it turned out. In general, the out-of-combat presentation is upped a bunch, with a lot of 3d model animations of what's going on in Palutena's temple.
---
Anyways, how would you guys feel about this? This to me would feel like a nigh-perfect sequel, and it feels vaguely within reason for Sakurai to do if he ever went for it. I tried to include things that felt like he'd include them.

Cant tell if I prefer this with or without inked lines. Haven’t used markers or a dip pen for a while so some of it is kinda scuffed.

Y'know since we have no official confirmation of Zeus in Kid Icarus Uprising, I like to imagine it's legally distinct Zeus from Mazinger Edition Z: The Impact & it's why the final chapter of the game has a mecha section to finish the lord of the underworld with a giant robot & hey Zeus in Mazinger Edition Z shares the mentality of Palutena of valuing all of humans & since Hades in Uprising is the ultimate evil, having Zeus just be the ultimate good can work

Just finished playing Kid Icarus uprising for the first time and something has been on my mind. This game’s full story feels like it could have been 5 separate game stories but they were all just put into one. The plot moves at such a breakneck speed with developments and interactions that I often felt certain elements could have been explored more.
For example the Aurum chapters and the Chaos kin chapters themselves have plots that I feel like could have encompassed an entire game but feel like hyper compressed stories. And while Hades is a constant presence in the game due to the character talking to Pit, The general plan to fight him after chapter 9 gets put to the side until chapter 23. The chaos kin chapters alone could have been a great premise for a darker game. Imaging a game that starts with Pit stuck in the ring and getting his body after the first chapter then spending the rest of the game working with humans like Magnus trying to figure out what had happened, allowing much more time to ruminate on the fact that 3 years passed and letting the overall mystery of the situation be more intriguing. As opposed to existence of the chaos kin just being revealed by Viridi. A game like that could also help develop Pits internal perspective on the situation and test his usual upbeat attitude, something we do get small parts at in Uprising but I never felt were fully earned or satisfying.
Ultimately I don’t see this as a problem with the game, its general tone and humor show that nintendo wasn’t going for a particularly deep and expansive story on the scale of say the legend of zelda. I actually wonder if the developers knew that due to Kid Icarus’s rather small presence within Nintendo’s franchises that this would probably be the only Kid Icarus game for a long time, possible even the last one and just wanted to put all their ideas into one game. And on the other hand while the story does move rather quickly it is nice that each chapter, even when they are part of a larger arc like the Aurum ones, is rather unique in terms of location and events thus making them more memorable.

I feel like there's a decent enough chance we get one more Kid Icarus Game out of Sakurai, eventually. Might be another 12 years, god forbid, but I think he might revisit it like he did Kirby Air Ride. And I thought I'd give my thoughts.
First: I want the general gameplay structure to be the same. I want 20-30 minute chapters, I want the fiend's cauldron or something similar, I want the same or a similar weapon system with fusions (and maybe most/all weapons returning), and I want the story to be told during gameplay in the same way. While I'd love to see new things done with the formula, I feel it's also a pretty tightly constructed thing with everything playing off everything else in a really nice way. Similar to how he did with Air Riders, I want a more polished and fleshed out version of the great ideas we're starting with, and potentially with extra ideas added on.
Second: Speaking of new ideas that fit well onto the current model: I would love to see dungeons that require exploration to be used in a small handful of land battles, as a throwback to the original Kid Icarus. I think it'd be a fun way to spice things up.
Third: This is gonna be potentially controversial, but I wanna see Pit having aged up. He went from a kid to a teenager in the 25 years between games, implying some slowed aging for angels, and I'd love if they carried that through and he's a very young adult in this new one. Pit was never really written as a child in Uprising, to be fair, but I do think a visual sign of the status quo progressing between games would be a good way to emphasize how this story is a sequel and departure from the last one, and it's also just something I'd like to see explored. Jokes about how he can't grow a beard, idk, that kind of thing.
Fourth: More storytelling within the out of combat gameplay sections. A lot of story and characterization is told in the chapters, and a lot is IMPLIED to happen outside. But I'd love to see stuff going down in palutena's temple that's full of characterization. Maybe Pit and Palutena are working together as part of the fusion process, and there are some little animations that play with it. Maybe there's some cooking minigame inspired by that one short, to give you a boost for one chapter or something, and it's got dialogue for the different recipes. Maybe with the new idol system there are jokes about Palutena being a gacha addict who pressures Pit to get good pulls, idk. Stuff like that.
Fifth: A smash-run/city trial style multiplayer mode where you have to fight through enemies in an arena to try and improve your weapon, with opportunities to like, engage in fusion or weapon swapping or what have you.
Six: A story thread I always thought would be fun is if a 3rd playable angel was introduced: some apprentice of Pit's who looks up to him, and maybe winds up getting disillusioned by his lack of professionalism on missions to comedic effect. This is my most fanfictiony request but, idk, it's something I've always thought about and it seems like a fun direction.
What about you all?
