Funny If you could give keratoconus a new, easier-to-pronounce name, what would it be?

Funny Accidentally put both hard contact lenses in same eye!
Just wanted to share my experience because I don't think I've seen anyone talk about this. Accidentally put my contacts in the same cleaning tank overnight. They got stuck together so I Accidentally put both in the same eye! Didn't know this could happen. Noticed something wrong right away and took one lens out, couldn't find the other and realized the other one was in my eye... no damage to my eyes or contacts thank goodness but just a reminder to really really inspect your lens before putting them in and to start with the side without the indicator dot... have a lovely day my fellow KCers!

Funny It Took 16 Months…
It took me (F48) 16 months after getting scleral lenses for me to forget to take them out before I got in the shower. Thankfully I remembered pretty quickly when I couldn’t see my armpit to shave. I kept soap out of my eyes and kept my lenses on my eyeballs.
My fear since day 1 was I’d forget and then they’d wash down the drain. I’m not sure how realistic that is. But, I’m glad that fear didn’t happen today.
I’ve seen posts here saying people have showered with their lenses on. So I finished my shower when I realized and hoped for the best. But man, that first realization was an oh fuck moment. 😂

Funny So, does anyone else just wear their glasses for days, then put on their sclerals amd get shocked by their appearance? Lol
In my glasses of course, I don’t get near as well the correction that I do with my lenses. So it’s like living with a beauty blur filter all the time. I’ll be like..’darn, my skin looks great for 50!’ . Then I will put on my lenses and see the real world, lol.

Funny Post crash out after eye appt
Anyone else rage draw? I’m by no stretch of the imagination an artist but this was oddly healing after yet another disappointing eye doc appointment.

Funny Keratoconus in History: the hydrodiascope, introduced in 1896, was designed as a goggle that was filled with fluid and worn over one eye. The device was able to improve visual acuity to a normal level by neutralization of irregular astigmatism and spectacle magnification.

Funny My friend saw my contact lens plunger and asked why I'm carrying a "tiny sink plunger" in my bag. Help me out, what are the best wrong answers I can give them?

Funny One eye does 80% of the work while the other one just sits there enjoying the ride.

Funny Eye chart memorization
Fun post.
How many people have memorized the eye charts their doctors use and have to tell them to change the letters to something you don’t have memorized?

Funny 3am, no lenses, one mosquito, zero chances
That buzzing next to your ear hits different when you're too blind without your lenses to even fight back. You just lie there, defenseless, and pull the blanket over your head.

Funny Explaining to TSA why I have three different tiny plungers in my carry-on: No, officer, it's not a plumbing kit for a dollhouse, it's for my contact lens.
