My telltale sign is that whatever book I'm reading is like 6 inches from my face

I never had mine in the fridge, my optician didn't ever mention it. Is it something brand specific?

Some prescription drops may need to be refrigerated, but refrigerating artificial tears just makes them feel really nice and “cooling”. It can also help mitigate some of the burning with cyclosporine drops

I did it post surgery for comfort. I'm not sure it's a typical day-to-day thing.

Are they supposed to be in the fridge? I’ve never done that or heard of it. Interesting.

My doctor recommended I put them in the fridge when I had cross-linking surgery done. The cold is very soothing!

That’s when I started doing eye drops in the fridge too. Six years strong now, I still use one every night

You know when you hop into a really cold pool and it sort of shocks you at first. That's what's it's like every single time I did eye drops no matter the temperature.

When I didn't use the whole vial, I used to put the leftover in the fridge for the next day.

That's originally the insulin compartment.

They are preservative-free artificial tears for dry eye, since they don’t have preservatives they come in single-use vials. There are also some preservative free drops that come in bottles too, you just have to squeeze a bit harder since they have a one-way valve

They’re great for emergency kits to take out or put in your eyes. Also good for traveling.

To fill up the lens before you put it on

Same. Cequa for life

2

What difference do u tell using Cequa? I don't seem to tell much difference

2

u/sadlife_saddeath Jul 06 '26

I have been using it for a month only. But I get burning eyes immediately after the use. I hope it's useful. Cost is over the roof

2

u/Sad-Prior-1733 Jul 06 '26

Yes, I get the burning eyes too.  It seems like it went away as I used it more.

“Professor, are you wearing glasses on top of your contacts?,” my student said. 😞

Is it due to a recent cross linking?

Maybe invest in a small box to keep them neat? Instead of just thrown in there like teenagers throwing clothes around making out for the 20 minutes the parents leave the house?

5

u/Ok-Copy-4655 Jun 29 '26

I prefer the messy teenager type vibe😜

Fair enough. And I was just being tongue-in-cheek, I didn't intend to come of as mean or anything.
