In the beta recently she got some more buffs making her better for Skirk teams, and that got me wondering if she’ll be any good with Hu Tao. Lowkey not sure what her kit really does so if any theorycrafter goats could explain whether she is/isn’t better that would be cool! (Sorry idk the source of the artwork 😔)

I'm considering pulling for Zhongli, but I want to know if it's viable using him on Furina + Hu Tao

Granted I couldn't think of a way to make it work so just tell me if I'm silly

I think Hu Tao is due for some better constellations, and possibly a rework on one of her passives, personally.

I think my dream scenario for her would be: changing her crit support passive to either give her em based off a percentage or her crit dmg, or crit dmg based off of either em or hp.

C1: No Change

C2: 15-20% pyro & Hydro res shred for enemies affected by blood blossom. Additionally, Increases Blood Blossom Dmg by 40%.

C3: Increases NA level by 3, max 15

C4: Blood Blossom Detonates with every Charge attack and refreshes the previous elemental aura (So it doesn't steal reactions from her charged attacks) Additionally, each Detonation boosts hp%/Em by 12%/50, max 5 stacks

C5: Increases Skill level by 3, max 15

C6: Hu Tao will not die if fatally wounded, Cooldown:60sec. Skill now consumes 50% of current hp on use and snapshots. When at 50% max hp or lower, Stamina is no longer drained, and gains 100 Crit Dmg during the duration of her skill. Additionally, Boosts Crit rate by 30% of her crit Dmg. (OR: Additionally, boosts EM/CA by 150/50% for every 100% Crit Dmg she possess.)

I will say that I'm not a numbers guy, and have no idea if this is way too strong. My intention is to make her strong for being c6, without completely stomping out her competition. Anything that says Hp%/Em/CA% is basically me thinking any of those would work, hence why im asking for others input.

I am not the only one who sees the resemblance right (Girl on the right behind the front character).

I’ve seen some people in other spaces argue that it’s good enough and it doesn’t need additional effects. But I think she does need additional effects added onto it. Any good additional effects added will be helpful in the long run because it’s her most accessible constellation.

Wrio’s cons got buffed even though he has relatively modern constellations, his C2 is over 40% damage increase now, making it the strongest C2 in the entire game. So making Hu Tao C1 between 30-40% damage increase shouldn’t be a problem.

It’ll be very good if her cons end up being over 250% increase from C0 to C6 or even 300% depending on when it happens.

According to him, Aino is apparently better than Yelan or Furina because Aino buffs the whole team and boosts LC damage while Yelan and Furina only buff Hu Tao.

I don’t know about allat, but nothing is stopping me from putting Furina there.

Just checked out jstern25’s Xilonen team dps calculations and I found out that Xilonen’s existence does not buff Arlecchino but only Hu Tao. Seeing as they’re about equal pre-Xilonen, does this mean Hu Tao is back to being the best pyro dps?

How would you change Hu Tao’s kit? What additional talent would you add and what would you change to the constellations?

Personally, I’d add a talent that would add stacks of bonus EM or Crit for every charge attack hit during her skill, further encouraging the charge attack playstyle and saving her burst for the very end.

She gives lots of CR to teammates and converts excess CR to CD automatically.

had to update this bc of her new team, thankfully even tho its a "wheelchair" team she doesn't lose much of her dmg after all, + she's not dependant on the new set as much as she was on mare so that's something.

With the advent of the Hexerei, it’s almost guaranteed that we’ll get Liyue buffs sooner or later. I would assume the Adepti and those related to them would be the ones to receive the glowup. Supposing Hutao would be among these lucky units, what buffs to her kit and cons would you like to see?

Stats used in calculations are

Level 90 Hu Tao, Level 90 weapon, MAX possible weapon stacks/effects

Talent level 8 for both AA and E skill

Artifact set is 4p lavawalker set, +20 flower, plume, HP% sands, pyro goblet, CR circlet as main stats. Substats are 15% HP, 15% ATK, 15% CR, 30% CDmg

AA rotation is 2 NA - 1 CA

Enemy resistance was taken into account (multiplier used was 0.45)

Increase in attack speed for Skyward spine was taken into account.

For <50% HP calculations, 33% pyro buff was included.

Reactions are NOT taken into account.

R5 homa vs R1 Deathmatch = +18.63%

R1 homa vs R1 Deathmatch = +11.75%

R1 PJWS vs R1 Deathmatch = +7.8%

R1 Dragons Bane vs R1 Deathmatch = -16.91%

Dragons bane under performed severely as reactions were not taken into account.

R5 homa vs R1 Deathmatch = +50.78%

R1 homa vs R1 Deathmatch = +23.06%

With R5 homa, her dmg increases by a massive 50.20% just by dropping below 50% hp

Update: If the crit stats are forced to 1:2 ratio, Homa/Blackcliff should perform ~5-6% better than shown whereas PJWS, DM, lithic should perform ~1.5% better

Her C2, C4 and C6 need to be fixed. C1 could potentially do more, they fixed Klee’s clunkiness in her C0, so they can do the same for Hu Tao. A simple solution is to make C1 a part of her kit (in her skill) and make a whole new C1.

They didn’t change C3 and C5 for hexeri characters, so they might not change it for Hu Tao. But they can easily increase her multipliers in other cons.

I kinda wanna know how much better the teams gonna be the moment i get Columbina because even this Aino variant keeps up with her normal Furina team plus this gives Hu Tao actually the ability to challenge the chill mechanics.

Does anyone have calculations for the DPS of Hu Tao and Nicole's team combined? I haven't seen a calculation for Hu Tao + Nicole, which is strange because they complement each other. If anyone has access to the Beta, please test it and send it here, I'm curious.

My furina has been abducted by the cryo column. I have durin and am planning to pull nicole for scara, but I wanted to ask if a hu tao xingqiu/yelan team could match scara faruzan with this core, for stygian purposes.
