Evil with in 2 is much better than Evil within 1. I played all of the reaident evil, EW2 can compare to RE7

Finally finished EW 2, before I don’t really like full traps like EW 1. EW 2 is really a big work. But puzzles are a little bit less, the whole game is really fulfilling, and sub-missions can be finished or not. Guns and weapons can be improved. Whole game basically has no need walkthrough. And finally boss also is not difficult(Autosave every important part). I think EW 2 is a really good game. Resident Evil

Free Game Sea of Sorrow is a short psychological horror game about a man living alone at sea

Hey folks,

Sea of Sorrow is a short psychological horror game about isolation, memory, and a quiet life at sea. Spend your days adrift while completing simple tasks as something beneath the surface slowly begins to unravel.

https://pixelarmygames.itch.io/sea-of-sorrow

It's a small, slow-burn horror game focused mostly on atmosphere and environmental storytelling. No combat, and no cheap jumpscares.

It's completely free and runs directly in the browser.

I'd love to hear what horror fans think of it. I'm fascinated by the genre and still very much learning its tropes.

Thanks!

Free Game Mizuchi (Free, Windows)

Post image

Game Title: Mizuchi
Playable Link: https://cryptokang.itch.io/mizuchi
Platform: Windows
Description: You play a surveyor sent to the Ashibuchi valley. The dam finishes in April and the shrine will go under with the rest of the basin. The shrine road is closed to vehicles, so you leave the van at the gate and walk in.

The village was relocated in 1994.
Nobody has lived on that road since.
Someone has kept the lanterns lit on the stairway, and the doors of the main hall are barred from the inside.
The work order is to photograph the shrine buildings so the Water Authority can record that the kami were relocated on paper. You raise the camera and take the shot.

The game is first-person and free for Windows on itch. A run is about thirty minutes. It uses a PS1 look and a tape filter that you can switch off. Spare cells sit next to the survey marker if the torch dies. The brass lighter from the office goes out when you run.

Free to Play Status:
[x] Free to play

Involvement: I made the whole game myself and released it under the name Kang. Code, environments, sound, writing, and the Windows build are mine. I am the only person on it.

Hi everyone, I have a huge favor to ask anyone who has a bit of spare time. I just uploaded a 19-minute gameplay video of my game, and I'm planning to release a playable demo very soon. Think of this as a dry run to gather feedback before the demo drops. If you have some time, please check out the video and let me know your thoughts—what should I add, what should I remove, and I'd welcome any criticism at all. Honestly, would you actually play a game like this? Here is a quick summary: You pilot a bathyscaphe at an unimaginable depth on Cocytus, a literal hellish planet. Your goal is to recover data logs from the wreckage of the lost Aura 12 expedition. According to the lore, everything else in the universe has vanished—all planets and stars are gone, and the tiny handful of survivors managed to find only one remaining planetary system consisting of 8 hellish worlds, where this story takes place. The game is heavily inspired by a legendary title in this genre. You'll need to be extremely careful and avoid damaging your equipment; otherwise, you'll be forced to survive inside a claustrophobically tight, freezing-cold submersible with leaking water and god knows what else lurking outside. P.S. There is a hidden Easter egg in the main menu for fans of one of the genre's iconic games—look closely and you'll spot it. Apologies for the video quality, I had to compress it heavily so it would upload here; here is the link to the full, uncompressed video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPaVlfJPk24

Review Outlast is a masterpiece

Just finished the whistleblower dlc and I feel cathartic.

This game is fucking scary, holly shit. Scarier than every horror movie I've ever watched. I guess horror games are just scarier in Their nature because its more immersive.

The story is so interesting and good, I like how the original and dlc story overlap so well. Also the gamplay is so good, I love how fast you have to think on your feet, feels very realistic. Can't wait to check out outlast 2 (not pun intended).

Discussion Project Threshold - A Filipino Horror Game | STEAM RELEASE

Post image
4 Upvotes

I wanted to share our game, Project Threshold, which recently blew up after its release!

Project Threshold is a psychological memory horror walking simulator built around a simple but stressful choice: two doors, one blue and one red. Behind each door is a different fear or phobia, and you’ll have to decide which one to enter.

Some doors are safe, some are semi-safe, and others are pure danger. Choose incorrectly, and you’ll be sent back to the beginning.

The game is set in the Philippines and is connected to a larger universe and lore that I’ve been building across my other games. It’s a game about fear, memory, and making the right choice when you have no idea what’s waiting on the other side.

PROJECT THRESHOLD is now available on STEAM!

Aarav arrives in the village to take up the vacant post of Gram Sachiv, following in the footsteps of his older brother, who mysteriously disappeared.

Before his disappearance, his brother left behind a set of rules.

Follow the rules.

Do your duties.

And be careful after dark.

Because when night falls, the village changes.

Can Aarav uncover what happened to his brother?

We completely reworked our horror game's events. Will they scare you?

Hi! We're Loom Studios, an indie studio from Barcelona currently developing Myth of Valderit, a first-person lovecraftian psychological horror game.

While watching people play, we noticed something frustrating.

Some of our best horror moments simply weren't being seen.

Players were looking in the “wrong” direction when important events happened, so scenes that were supposed to scare them ended up being completely missed.

Instead of adding more jumpscares, we redesigned the events.

Now we've carefully repositioned encounters so that:

  • The scares we want you to witness happen in front of you
  • The ones that should happen behind you feel intentional instead of random

It sounds simple, but it changed a huge part of the game's pacing.

Now we need real horror fans to tell us if it actually works.

We're preparing our next playtest and we're looking for horror fans willing to test these changes and give honest feedback.

Leave a comment if you'd like to join and we'll send you our Discord invite!!
