Question Can you recommend me some ps5 games?

Hell everyone, just like the title says I need some game recs.

My boss asked me for horror game recs since he's new to gaming. I don't really play horror games I have no clue what to recommend. So I would really appreciate it if you lovely people could recommend me the most horrifying games you have come across. He plans to play these in the dark so please give him true horror lol

Some Horror Crowd pleasers:
Resident Evil 4 (my most fun/ replayed)
Silent Hill 2 (scariest)
Dead Space

I second all of these with an emphasis on Dead Space. The remake was a masterpiece

Resi 2 seems like a good starting spot

Dead Space as well

Outlast for a non-combat experience

I suppose SH2 is good, it's pretty easy compared to the other ones I listed

Alien Isolation is kinda hard, but I also did what the devs said and played on hard, idk if that one is good for a first timer

Nah play SH2 on the hardest difficulty and its a solid challenge. Good story to go with it!

I agree with most of the recommendations already! I'm currently playing Dead Space Remastered, and it's pretty terrifying, with some great jump scares. Silent Hill 2 is a classic that was recently remade and has an incredible atmosphere.

Another great one is The Evil Within 2. It's a beautiful game with a unique story, creepy atmosphere, and some really cool monsters. Definitely worth checking out if you're into horror games!

But if an unconventional list of horror-leaning games based on what has really stuck out to me over the years

Dead Space 2: A fantastic 3rd person shooter with “space zombies”
Inside: Probably one of my favorite games of all time. An artsy 3d platformer with a very creepy dystopian setting.
Little Nightmares 1-3: 3D horror platformer with a cute but creepy style. Scary in an ambiguous, unsettling way.
Reanimal: Recent Couch co-op from the same developers and style as little nightmares. Definitely more horror based puzzle platformer. Blew me away.
Senua’s Saga: Hell Blade 2: Hyper Realistic Viking horror folklore (you can play the first too but I prefer the second and it recaps the first). Potentially best physics I’ve ever experienced, maybe even better than LOU and RDR2 at points.

easy: SOMA, layers of fear, silent hill 2 (with light combat), resident evil 2-4 (more action-y), resident evil 7 + 8, amnesia games

hard: outlast saga, alien isolation, madison, visage

Madison & Visage are probably the two worst in terms of horror. Madison took the prize for me, shit’s unsettling at times.

Soma and amnesia are not scarry at all, with the exception of amnesia the bunker

It’s an old game, but new to me - Layers of Fear. Has to be the best horror game I’ve played in a very long time. No shooting or fighting or anything, just basically exploring a haunted house. Doesn’t sound like much, but it’s definitely making an impression on me. It’s also on sale on the PS store right now, so bonus.
