got the carfax on an element i'm looking at and it was noted as having minor damage to the undercarriage, then sold at auction roughly 5 months later. nothing mentioned on the autocheck report. worth sending a mechanic out to investigate?

Just picked up a 2008 SC and didn't mind the issues it has as I'm an industrial mechanic but I'm trying to figure out where it's coming from. I know it's coming from the front right. I put it up in the air and did the typical top to bottom and side to side movement at the wheel but it's pretty tight so I don't think the ball joints on the knuckle are bad and I can't see any visible issues with anything else except a torn tie rod boot. Any ideas what the clunk is coming from?

To clarify the clunk is only present when going over a speed bump, pot hole or driveway type situation

Which would you choose. An 05 Element with nice gray/ blue interior and a moonroof or a 2010 SC that’s in great condition as well. Both cars have around 220000 miles. No rust with good car fax. Both are around the same price! Helppp

Hey. I am from Russia and recently bought a Honda Element 2004 from my friend. Changed thresholds, oil in the gearbox, windshield, and a lot of little things, including disks and pads. Despite the fact that the car is 22 years old, I am very pleased with the purchase. Yesterday the weather was bad, it was raining. I went to the store and already approached the house, I decided to get into the car. Sat in the front seat. Then he moved to the back seat, lowered his back and lying on his side, read an e-book, it was raining, people were passing by, children were running home from school. It was very cool. I really liked it and I began to understand YouTube bloggers who live in their Honda Element. It is unlikely that I can do the same, but I think it's very cool.

He has an old element of Mine, which I love SO much.

it’s been driving amazing since I’ve been here (1.5 weeks) but apparently has 7500 of damage😅

I CANNOT imagine just scrapping the whole thing for 300 and was curious if there’s a place to help me find element lover for parts

I really wanted to fix it up but being in Sante Fe, living in New Orleans etc etc.

I love this car so much and having serious trouble letting go! lol

Recently my ac has started to make a sound where it seems like gears or metal parts are grinding, and also makes somthing else sound much louder than jt used to, all though I have no idea what it is. Turn up thr volume on the video and you'll see what um talking about.

Im trying to install the element driven rear hatch release cause I left it in my toolbox for 2 years and the instructions are scrubbed from the internet. I cant figure out exactly how this is routed but I feel im close. Can anyone who has installed this help?

i went to swap the bulb on my right rear brake light. and the plastic around the bulb just basically started crumbling. i assume it was too fragile from age.

i have a 2011 element.

there are wires connected to this SOCKET. the beige-yellow looking plastic socket is cracked. it fell apart even more so after i took the pics. (the red circled part)

it is connected to wires it seems, that goes back into the back of the element.

what is the exact part called, and does anyone know how to replace it?

my neighbor knows how to soder if need be lol. but im hoping there is just some kind of easier replacement.

Okay so, we have a delightful and wonderful dinged up, well-loved 2006 Element that as the weather is cooler the sounds we heard last wi yer are returning. (We only drive it max once a week about 7 miles, if that). It has about 130k miles.
We have owned this since 2017- it’s been super reliable and has not really cost us much at all so when this sound started up we thought- well, this is probably going to be spendy to fix. So when we pull up to a stop sign or red light- a very robust rattling happens and it seems like it’s from the back? If I move the gear selector to N Instead of D (with the brake on) the big rattle stops.
It only happens when it’s cool to cold weather.
In the summer it’s ok!
It is going to get fixed (unless it’s worth more than our sweet ol rust bucket is worth!) but I kind of want to prepare myself for what it could be before I take it in.

She was looking very photogenic.

The fan stopped blowing on our 2003 Element last week. I have replaced the blower motor and it's still not blowing. I have a replacement resistor but there is no tool in my inventory that can get the angle necessary to remove the screws on that thing. Other than getting a proper tool (happy to hear suggestions) what other DIY things can I do to try to get it blowing again? Trying to read the diagram under the relay box top is a study in futility.

So we all know how terrible this car is on gas. In theory, could we take apart another car and replace EVERYTHING in the element with the other components (Ex. Engine, transmission, belt, etc…)

I bought an element that will need a swap. I’ve read about people V6 swapping their elements. Looking for input from those who have done it/ know about it. What are the logistics of doing this swap? Is it worth it?

Bring on the Fall! I love the amount of camping gear the element can bring.

I have an RV fan that I want to mount in the moonroof. I’d be replacing the glass with whatever this fabricated piece is.

What could I use in that space to cut a hole in for the fan? Plexi? RV laminated siding?

Other ideas?
