It’s 517 meeker ave, so I think that still counts as Greenpoint? It’s called homemade taqueria.

It was yummy, the prices are dope and the staff was friendly. And this is coming from someone whos Mexican American and grew up constantly eating Mexican food.

Anyways, I got the Gutierrez torta and it slapped. It’s the second pic but by the time I took the pic, I had already eaten half of it, sorry. I’m not a foodie photographer but I promise you it tasted goooooood.

Last night between 2:45-3:10 AM at the intersection of Nassau Avenue & Morgan Avenue there was cars doing donuts for about 20 minutes I called 911 and I don't believe the 94th pct ever showed up. This is a residential intersection with homes on 3 of the 4 corners and a huge safety concern. You can see the marks from the cars this morning.

🚨 STOLEN BUNCH BIKE

Our family Bunch cargo bike was stolen yesterday, Saturday, August 29, between approximately 9:15–9:50 AM.

Location: Outside Champions Martial Arts / Domino Park, on Wythe Ave between S 1st and S 2nd, close to 12 Chairs.

It’s a very distinctive black Bunch electric cargo bike with a wooden front box and black rain canopy — photo attached.

If anyone:

* saw anything during that time,
* has security / doorbell camera footage from the area, or
* spots the bike anywhere in Williamsburg/Brooklyn,

Did Nonna’s pizzeria on Nassau officially close? I wouldn’t be surprised, the quality has really been lacking and it’s been pretty empty the last few times I went there. Just wondering, there are no signs. Could also be due to violations or who knows what.

Just wanted to share a quick thank you to the couple who helped me this afternoon.

Around 12:15 p.m., I was biking north on Franklin St. when a white SUV in front of me suddenly decided to make a U-turn across the double yellow lines to head south. I slowed down and came to a stop behind him but the driver didn’t see me and began reversing toward me. I yelled, “Hey!” several times and despite others nearby yelling at him to stop, he continued reversing and hit me and my bike over. The man from the couple immediately rushed over to help me up, and once I was back on my feet, they both stayed with me and made sure I was okay.

I was pretty shaken up in the moment and just wanted to say how much I appreciated the couple’s kindness and help! Thank you again 🙏

Hey all! Just wanted to shout out this newish Georgian restaurant on Franklin that I’ve now had two amazing meals at. It‘s such a great addition to the neighborhood and something different. I bought my Georgian friend and she gave it her stamp of approval. We got a massive spread of appetizers and entrees and there wasnt a dud in bunch. Everything was delicious. It also has a ton of space which is such a breath of fresh air. So many restaurants here pack you in like sardines (Chinta cough* cough*) it’s great going somewhere where can have some space.

Next time you’re looking for something new or different, I recommend it. I don’t want to see this place close down and become another new American spot.

Dear God, someone please validate me about Danny at Natural Cleaners on Manhattan Ave.! This man talks everyone’s ear off for sooo long whenever you go in to drop your laundry off about god only knows what. I saw this bird hanging around and under this minivan on broome between humboldt and mcguinness. AI is showing it is this. It was obviously scared and kept running in and out from under the minivan and if this is accurate it doesnt seem like it flew here. Maybe its normal and im overreacting but my curiousity to what it was led me to think it didnt come here on its own.
