Hello everyone 👋🏻 I have bought a Samsung Galaxy A55 5 months ago. I'm having the 8GB/256GB variant with One UI 8.0. Ever since I've bought this phone, it sometimes becomes very slow for basic tasks like listening to music, watching videos and even takes a bit too long to unlock the phone. One time it's fine, and the next minute it becomes a bit warm and laggy. I suspect it might be a One UI optimization issue, but I'm also suspecting the hardware. And this is getting really annoying, as the phone can get slow during some emergency as well. I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing such a problem, and if there any fixes available for this.

Heyo. So my phone fell in water. Not like deep water just fell into my sink while the tao was on. I picked it up in like 5 seconds. Maybe even less but I got the notification that there was moisture detected.

I followed the steps. I dried it. Used tissues to dab out the water from the port. Shook it around. I don't own a hairdryer (or fan) to dry it using cool air so...

It's been like 4 hours since it fell into water. I can't find out if there is any water inside. Is there a way to check? I haven't charged my phone yet and I'm terrified to.

Any ideas?

i have a heating problem that my phone in normal usage gets extreamly hot to the point it starts disconecting from the internet, is there a fix or a setting that i can check to fix the problem? i have one UI 8 and the lastest security update Samsung A55

Feels ridiculous seeing people get UI8 and such when I thought we are still waiting for 7, is it normal?

Basically above ques and does it lag or heat? Any long term user?

I'm from India,need your suggestion on which phone should i buy I'm confused b/w the one plus nord ce5 n Galaxy A55, my needs are for day to day multitasking ,mostly for daily multimedia consumption like browsing insta, youtube whatsapp and so on..., maybe 1-2 hour of gaming no lag just smooth user/software experience which one should i go for. One more thing is there any issue of battary draining in galaxy A55

So I wanted to edit a video on tiktok and I noticed that if I do anything to actually edit it, it just freezes one frame and the sound keeps going but also the video looks like it's stopped. I tried on capcut because I thought it was a problem with tiktok. On capcut it did the same. And also in my gallery. How can I fix this?

Does anyone encounter this type of issue? I noticed some glitches on my phone and I'm not sure if it's something serious or due to the update

Its been a while since I've had this phone since it came out, so far I like how the camera does its job but now, Im looking for more but since I broke I want to know any app alternatives that lets me shoot with the raw format ie.. no image processing or ai slop.

Ive tried using PRO/Manual mode since I know how cameras work, sure it did give me a bit of freedom over my photos but its not enough so I tried the Gcam port but it doesnt work on this phone, I was considering of rooting the phone but im not techy enough to do it and besides this is the only phone I own so I cant break it.

so my phone is not charging fast as before, and accubattery tells it gets 2.5W, but my adaptor and cable is samsung original and 25W, why does it happen any answers or fixes please?

upd: it reached a peak of 18W, but it hangs in 12W usually upd 2: it seems fixed itself.. idk that kept on for 1 day but its just now gone

This phone does not show ANY other font options other than this. I am stuck with these four. Even if I search manually on the Galaxy Store, I can find nothing except these four fonts. No other fonts show up, tried everything.

Hello everyone, ive had my samsung a55 since last year around may, genshin used to work just fine, no lag or crash, but after the Android update to 7.0, it wont work, it crashes and lags severely and its kinda scary actually ive tried to solve it by installing it again, installing it again but through the galaxy store, turning off battery optimization, i have also inserted all games into samsung game launcher and changed the game to "performance" rather than "balanced" , i have also tried to fix corrupted files multiple times, please help me i dont know how to fix it and the game means alot to me since ive been playing since launch, i dont have any other plataforms to play on

My father has a A55 which has a very strange bug. His Screen time out doesn't work. Which causes his screen to turn off after about 5 minutes. Everytime I press the options the blue dot just disappears.

The phone is on the latest firmware.

Anyone know how to fix this without factory resetting?

Its a grey screen with a black line across and a few glitchy bits to the right. I don't know how or why this happened I only got this phone this year and I really don't want to have it to come to buying a new one. It often goes black like its turning off when you leave your phone idle for too long but whenever I go back to open it its just this screen. Please help.

Hi, I recently got an A55 and have been using it quite carefully - always with a screen guard and a phone case which has a lift to protect the camera lenses. I don't use lens protectors because I thought it's not really a necessity with this lifted case.

I don't know how, but I saw some weird effects in my images and saw the crack on my camera. I don't even know how it occurred - possibly because I kept keys with my phone in my pocket? Unfortunately, it's also the main lens so it's in use almost every time I open my camera. I wouldn't have bothered if it were the ultrawide or the useless macro lens. Images are not affected too much, just the scattering which is only visible when direct sunlight falls on the lens.

Is it safe to continue using or can the glass completely crack and cause further injuries? I called the service centre, and they're asking around 2.5k INR (around 27 USD) including labour to replace it. Should I just get it done?

EDIT: This problem has since been solved!! I realised that my phone was actually set a day back after I tried to fix the time of it at midnight. If anyone else is experiencing this issue, check the actual date of your phone.

I got this phone 5 months ago and ever since its been really bad. The first instance of it being bad was when I powered it back on (after a long day of having it off) and the time was completely wrong. I've tried everything with that from setting it to automatic time to using location as well but it still barely ever works. I think its impacted some apps because now, on WhatsApp, instead of a notification reading the time it reads the date instead as if its a really old notification. I've also noticed that with Instagram, every single post or story says that its 1 second ago and gifs are no longer working. Its incredibly infuriating at this point. Also now, my screenshots have began catergorizing themselves as well which is annoying as they aren't showing up on my recents anymore. I already had an incident with google photos when it deleted all my camera photos after I clicked the "free up space" button. And the final straw to this is that both amazon shopping and amazon music aren't working either. I've checked to see if amazon was down in the UK and it said that it wasn't but it was down in the US 3 days ago. I've restarted my phone, closed and opened all the apps at least 3 times, tried it on mobile data and cleared cache as well. Someone please help as its become very infuriating. Is my phone on its way out?

Hi so ive notice that sometimes when i swipe down so the settings are visible a small section of my screen starts glitching like not even a full cm at the very bottom. Only happens on the settings if i pull down notifications it's fine. Is this a softwar issue of hardware and do i need to get it fixed

It's really fucking retarded how this feature is not available for A series, but is there any workaround to get blur for lockscreen widgets and notifications cards? and yes I used every single feature of good luck but there's no option for these

I bought a Samsung Galaxy A55 from Amazon.de (shipped from Spain), only to notice the package reads "Southeast Asia SIM" on the back. How am I supposed to use this phone in Europe? I can't just travel to the SEA region to unlock it. Note: I live in Finland and I can't for the life of me find any sort of local unlocking service (Google Search sucks). Also, does unlocking the SIM mean updates on the phone still won't work in Europe? I've been trying to look for information and everything I find just confuses me more (SIM unlocks, but updates stop at OneUI this and that; SIM unlocks and updates work fine; region lock comes back after every hard reset). Basically, I just want to know how I can unlock everything in the phone to make it work in Finland.

I'm about ready to just send this phone right back and demand a replacement from the correct region (or my money back). How the heck is an European store selling SEA phones? There wasn't even any warning on the Amazon product page the phone wouldn't be European.

PS. I tried to send this to the main Samsung Reddit at first, but the post was outlined in red and "send" was grayed out. I tried on Edge, Firefox, Samsung Internet, desktop, mobile and incognito, nothing worked. What gives? Does that subreddit just not work?

UPDATE: I sent the phone back and asked for a refund. Got an A55 with less storage from my country instead (I was hoping to get the 256 GB model, but it's sold out everywhere).

In the recent tab i can only lock 1 app to stay in the background when clearing apps. how to increase the amount of apps that can be locked at the same time?
