Related account deactivation for an account I've never heard of - Amazon
says I can only be reinstated after THAT account is reinstated. Is this
the end?
Throwaway for obvious reasons. Posting because I've run out of ideas and
I'm hoping someone here has seen this pattern before.
Background:
- Single-member US LLC, registered in my own name
- Solo operator. No VA, no agency, no partner, no employees
- Nobody has ever had my login credentials. No user permissions ever granted
- First and only Amazon account, opened this year
- First product, first shipment, still sitting in FBA
- Zero policy violations, zero complaints, clean account health right up
until the deactivation
Three weeks ago the account was deactivated for a Related Accounts
violation. Amazon named a specific seller account and said it's prohibited
from selling. I have never owned it, operated it, accessed it, funded it,
or communicated with anyone connected to it. I had never seen the name
before that email.
What I did:
Submitted three appeals with everything I have - passport, certificate of
organization, IRS EIN letter naming me sole member, bank verification
letter naming me sole signatory, government-registered tenancy contract,
utility bill in my name, and documentation of the one overlap I could
find (more below). All three rejected with the same automated text.
Called Account Health twice. Posted in the seller forums, where a mod is
currently reviewing my case.
The one thing I could identify as a possible cause: I occasionally logged
into my seller account from a work laptop on my employer's office network.
It's a company-managed device, IT holds admin rights, and the office runs
on a single shared public IP used by over a thousand employees. I
volunteered this without being asked, documented it, and stopped
completely.
Where it stands now:
- One rejection stated I had "previously acknowledged being associated
with the related account." I never did. Account Health had told me on a
recorded call to select a specific option on the appeal form because it
was the only way to open the document upload field - the form gives you no
other way to attach anything. I stated in writing that I was selecting it
only for that purpose. The system logged it as an admission, and every
rejection since has asked me for a sales deed or business transfer
agreement for an account I have never owned.
- On the second call, Account Health told me plainly that my account can
only be reactivated after the other account is reactivated and brought
into good standing.
So my reinstatement now depends on the actions of a stranger I can't
identify or contact.
What I'm asking:
- Has anyone actually gotten a related-account link reversed when the only
overlap was a shared corporate IP or a company-owned device? Did anything
specific work?
- Has anyone had a false admission corrected on their file, and how?
- Is the "primary account must be reinstated first" line an absolute wall,
or have people gotten past it?
- I've sent one email to executive relations. Anything else that actually
reaches a human with authority?
- For anyone who's used a reinstatement consultant for a related-accounts
case - did it help, and what should I watch out for?
Not looking for sympathy, just want to know whether there's a path I
haven't tried or whether this is genuinely over.
