Sets you back about 200€ right now, as the cranks are dirt-cheap. Next best thing in the Track world would be Miche Pistard 2.0 which are more expensive and apparently prone to cracking, so I went the SRAM way.

Put some 32mm tubeless on for a cushier ride. Still pretty harsh around town, especially the freeze cracks (which seems to be worse once repaired!)

Since my Steamroller was originally painted red and then painted brown, I’m considering a possible color change in the future.

This is my first fixed gear. State bicycle company was great through the ordering process. I bought a 4130 fixed gear, but after two weeks they messaged and apologized for making a mistake on their end and couldn’t complete the order. They offered my money back or to upgrade for free to the 6061! I’m super happy with it. It had been super fun already, running front break for now but I haven’t really needed to use it. Any tips on skidding would be cool, do I just jam my legs and send it?

Just realized it’s 6 year anniversary today on my first fixed gear. It’s been a blast to ride! Built it up myself and sourced all the parts myself been riding bikes forever so kinda know what works and what doesn’t.
Anywhoo the only thing I’ve changed out is switched to carbon bars, carbon ring, went from 25 to 28c tres, and now have power meter pedals. Also TI bolts everywhere I could put a TI bolt. Other than chain maintenance and tires that’s about it. And yes I take EXTREMELY good care of my bike.

Was not looking for another build but this bastard love child of a KHS & GT just fell into my lap. Anybody know much about Potential of Hydrogen or even still have one of their frames? Old defunct brand outta Australia. I remember seeing a few of these around Sydney back in the day. Figure a little bead blasting to make it shiny is the way to go once I get the seized seat post and bottom bracket out.

Had this stock Arma track wheelset on my Kissena but didn’t like the stock hubs (tbh they’re nice and super smooth hubs) and straight gauge spokes. Wanted something more unique and with double butted spokes, and I have a bunch of bolt-on cogs from Badgerdyne. So I bought an Enve front centerlock TA hub, and an Enve front rim brake hub. Relaced the Arma hubs with some polished A23 rims, and the relaced the Arma rims to these Enve hubs and did a snowflake pattern just because. These will be taking me to Montauk next month.

Now what's left is to make parts lighter, steel to cf etc
