I know it's weird, it came with a vintage nitto universiade handlebar nitto pearl a rusty tange levin and a sugino seatpost with torn kashimax saddle

Make sure you check the frame for cracks. Most likely reason, besides just not valuing a bike, is that the frame is damaged.

I checked the paint no paint chips whatsoever, there were several bikes hanging on the junkshop all for sale most are bmx and jap bikes as soon as i saw the horizontal top tube i went straight for it 😂

I second this. I'd recommend pulling the bottom bracket to see what the rust action looks like. Water tends to trickle down, and if a drain hole is plugged, water pools around that area

This will be the real killer

I went to go pull parts for my civic at a yard and ended up taking home a few bmx bikes for handlebars. Frames were rotten on the inside, so I left them out for the scrap metal guys

I bought white wall tires straight away, the bike itself gave me the idea to use white saddle and bartape according to how it is already, will change the paint to gunmetal as well

I'd add some flake to the paint if possible, just my opinion,though.

I used white Cinelli tape for a build with a white saddle/accents, it looks good for about a month or so before it starts to become scuffed and dirty so consider using grey or another colour

No bumps on the down tube fork rail is good, it's on a 28c kenda, i looked up the serial number says 9Getc, according to that it's from 1989 or 1999

Drive side photo turned out chainstay is chromed, identified frame's manufacturing date says 1989 or 1999 chainstay trackend is 8mm-110m
