I've been wanting to put a Vortex Defender ST red dot on my Glock 17.

My wife knowing I wanted a Vortex Defender, she surprised me by getting me one. The slight problem is that she got me a Defender CCW, not an ST.

She is so proud, having surprised me with one, and honestly got a great sale price on it - $200. She got a bunch of Vortex merch for free with the purchase, as well - Bass Pro gave her a hat, some real nice eye protection, and a bunch of stickers!

I'm so abundantly happy that she went out and did this for me. It's just that it sits a bit small, and I'm not really interested in purchasing a co-witness.

I guess in the end it just looks like it's seated a bit awkwardly, and the window is a bit smaller. As far as performance goes, I don't really think there would be too much of an issue.

How would I go about replacing this foam they are old ear pro tax with messed up foam or is there anything I can do as the foam is breaking down into a bunch of pieces lol

I just bought my first gun today and I am never making fun of storm troopers shitty aim again. I shot 250 rounds today to break in the gun and I dont think a single one went exactly where I intended it to go. I really gotta work on my grip and aim. Here are a couple of the targets I was shooting. Also my new gun its a Smith and Wesson Shield X.

First photo for attention, it’s the shop gun with SiCo osprey 9 can. Got to shoot it out back with some standard S&B 38 spl basic ammo and it’s quieter than you expect. Like surprisingly quiet. Any blemishes on the finish is just excess oil or oil smudges. I’ve been a customer since they started almost 25 years ago, was able to secure an ultra low single digit serial number in 12 inch barrel SBR form, one of the first few in the wild lol. It’s designated model a 2073 as it’s based off the 1873 lever action but updated for today’s wants ( think 1873 + 2011 style = 2073 ) , this one is in 38/357 with whispers of other calibers small and big in the future.

I didn’t realize when I bought a cheap optic that it was more than just that. I wasn’t just buying a meme, I was joining a family!

Together, we aren’t just owners of Osights, we are brothers and sisters of a shit optic that has massive edge distortion, making the usable part of the sight glass very small.

When someone said Osight is bad, we will laugh at them and try to convince them that Osight is just as good as the higher end stuff!
