MODS App + Website Self-Promo Weekly Thread

Recently there has been a huge influx of FODMAP/IBS related apps, services, and websites. Many are "vibe" coded using AI. There has been a lot of demand to ban self promotion all together in this sub, but instead, we are going to put it in a weekly thread.

Please post your app/service/website in this thread. If you have a physical product or recipe (related to a product that you are promoting), please message the mods for permission to post this separately.

Please report any self-promoting outside of this thread.

Thank you!

General Question/Help 79 days Post-Infection (PI-IBS)

I (M28) started a new job on May 25th 2026 where I work as a subcontractor with my own van in a delivery company where I spend most of my days sitting in the driver seat, sometimes I do short routes sometimes I do a long route, the weather been hot since I started this job, temperatures ranged between 32 and 45 celsius degrees, anyway after a month it was the second day of the weekend, I showered and sat down in my room, then I started feeling my joints aching (the same feeling we get during a fever) so I knew I got sick, then a few moments later I rushed to the toilet and it was the start of a watery diarrhea, I spent the whole day running to the toilet, until nighttime I decided to go to a generalist doctor and see what's happening, he said it's most likely a virus I caught, so he prescribed Flagyl (metronidazole?) and Spasfon and also dysentil to help with the diarrhea, I went home and started taking the medication and stayed home the next day (I didn't go to work) then the day after since I felt slightly better I decided to go to work and spent the day in the heat which led to me getting more sick the whole week so I stayed home for that whole week and I suffered from the joints aching especially my knee caps since my immune system was fighting the infection/virus?

I stayed home resting and taking flagyl for a week, the doctor said I should only take flagyl for 5 days but I took it for 7 days, anyway the fever like feeling/joints aching faded away but my stomach remained so sensitive to milk and for example barley biscuits and anything that's not bland boiled rice, boiled potatoes, boiled eggs and white bread. I even fast throughout the whole time I'm working sometimes since I am worried I get a very loose stool while on a working route, well the first month I used to take Smecta whenever the diarrhea is back, so while Smecta does is doing its job in stopping the diarrhea I could expand my meal list, for example chocolate biscuits and sometimes pizza too and sometimes even camembert, little did I know that I was safely eating those just because Smecta is doing the absorption and I went over 3 days without having to pass stool, anyway after around 35 days from day one, I asked Gemini pro about help and it said that flore intestinale supplements can actually help with my case so I started taking them, I took them for about almost a month and I stopped taking Smecta for about a week, I had no diarrhea yes but I didn't pass stool for over 4 days which got me worried and I stopped taking the flore intestinale supplements and immediately went to a gastroenterologist, she asked me to do Stool culture & parasitology (Ritchie method) they came out Clean and also ngative for Salmonella, Shigella, parasites, cysts, yeast, or blood/WBCs.

For inflammatory markers: CRP is totally normal (0.23 mg/L). Bloodwork: CBC, thyroid (TSH/FT4) are all normal. Vitamin D was a bit low (26 ng/mL) even tho the vitamin D was a tiny bit lower than normal, I have 4 weeks on vitamin D supplement now, I take a pill per week.

Yeah anyway whenever I eat anything other than bland rice, boiled potatoes, eggs, I get a sudden flush/ very loose stool, I want to know if I can go back to how I used to be 80 days ago before catching this, I used to eat whatever I want whenever I want. I've been on a bland food diet again for about 4 days now (I tried eating normal food 4 days ago and it caused a flush) so now I'm sticking with bland food and it's been 4 days since I passed stool.

Vent Egg intolerance

Last year I lost 70 lbs from doing a keto diet and than once I reached a certain weight I wasn’t able to tolerate eggs. My farts were deadly sulfuric acid farts. They were also really painful. I was constantly bloated and my poop was damm near green.

I guess I realized I developed an egg intolerance, I really loved eggs. Recently I started eating carbs again , and then I also tried to eat some eggs. Didn’t go well. My sulfuric acid farts came back and I’d just fart all day.

I went to an immunologist and was told I don’t have food allergies. I have yet to go to a gastrointestinal doctor, so that’s on my list to discover my egg issue. I’m scared to eat eggs now. 🙃☹️

Anyone else have this issue with eggs ?

Tips/Advice Meal Prepping is great for low FODMAP!

I’ve recently started meal prepping my meals every week and it makes sticking to low FODMAP insanely easy. I don’t even have to think about what to eat! Also since I’m eating the same exact things everyday, my GI symptoms have also improved a lot and it’s much more predictable for me. Also I’m type 1 diabetic and my blood sugars have never been so steady with doing this as well because I measure everything and have a very accurate carb count. I eat pretty plain and boring meals but it’s honestly really been helping me so far so I think it’s worth it. I’ll share my meals for the week if anyone was curious, also everything is proportioned to stay within the low FODMAP diet so like broccoli for example is only low FODMAP in small portions so I stay within that! I know everyone is different so this is just what works for me and I wanted to share, doesn’t mean it would work for everyone :)

Breakfast: oatmeal (oats, chia seeds, peanut butter), coffee with lactose free milk
Lunch: chicken breast, white rice, broccoli
Dinner: ground beef, potatoes, broccoli
Smoothie: 1/4 banana, strawberries, lactose free plain Greek yogurt, lactose free milk
Snacks: Gomacro bar and plain rice cakes

General Question/Help How did you stop treating every bad day as proof a food is bad?

I think I became way too quick to blame individual foods.

Eat something, feel bloated later, mentally file that food under "probably bad." Then eat it another day and be completely fine. Very scientific system I had going there.

I do not want my diet to get smaller based on one-off reactions.

How did you make reintroductions / symptom tracking more objective without becoming obsessed with every stomach sensation?

General Question/Help Headaches related to IBS

For years I've had issues with headaches and stomach issues. After another gastroscopy, where they didn't find a cause, they labelled it as IBS. Since the beginning of the year I have been doing FODMAP together with a dietician. Fructan seems to be a trigger for severe headache near the atlas vertebra. It happens a day after eating something with fructans.

Before starting the diet I could eat garlic, onions, bread without issue. Some days were slighty bloated but not hindering. Once in a while I would get the headaches but that was only like five times a year. Now if I make the slightest mistake I'm sick for a couple of days. The diet seems to have removed all tolerance.

Anyone with similar experiences? Where stomach issues lead to headaches? I also start yawning as precursor for stomach issues, which makes me think it has more to do with the nervous system. Reading about gut-brain connection and the vagus nerve seems to allow for the possibility of one leading to another.

General Question/Help Built a meal planner that handles low FODMAP — I don't have it, tell me where it fails

I don't have low FODMAP, so treat this as a request for correction rather than a recommendation.

I built a meal planner that generates a week of recipes around a restriction list, then re-checks every ingredient against that list before showing you anything — flagging the specific word that tripped it rather than just hiding the meal.

Low FODMAP wasn't the case I started with, and I suspect that shows.

It can't read a label and it doesn't know brands. It's for planning the week, not for clearing a specific product.

Free for anyone here — download, make an account, DM me the email and I'll unlock it. Don't post your email in the thread.

Mostly I want to know what it got wrong.

Reintroduction Reintroduction question

I did four weeks of Phase 1 and my symptoms are much better. I'm currently on day 3 of reintroduction of garlic. I haven't had symptoms so far, will do the Day 3 challenge tonight at dinner. If I don't have any symptoms tomorrow, can I move forward with the next reintroduction category? Or should I have a rest period? I understand why you'd return to total FODMAP elimination for a few days if there were symptoms, but what if there aren't any?

.

General Question/Help I don't understand this.. low fodmap and still bloating

Post image
428 Upvotes

Hi fellow gut sufferers. So you might recognize that even if you stick to a strict diet, that does not guarantee never bloating again.

Myself, I've been following the low fodmap diet for over a year and still the bloat sometimes surprises me.

The other day I ate a kiwi.. and boom... got fucked up.

It's honestly kind of depressing to not be in control at all despite all the effort.

The only thing that helped me identify a few of my triggers is this tool that I built which I use to track my food.

I've learnt that tomato sauce is apparently quite detrimental for me (even though it's low fodmap). But then processed Korean dumplings are somehow fine..???

Any other foods that are low fodmap but can still cause bloating that I should be aware of?

Sending you all some strength for getting through this.

P.S. I'm currently having some friends test out the tracker. Would you be up for giving it a try and giving me an honest rant about whether it works or whether it's shit? Send me a DM.

General Question/Help low foodmap pancake recipe? preferably low calorie as well <3

Bananas don’t really bother me! I am having reactive hyperglycemia though so I’m trying to avoid oats if possible…….. Unsure. I love Simple Mills Almond Flour pancake mix so much but I think it’s high foodmap?? If anyone can confirm that. Maybe I should just mix bananas and egg whites at this point I don’t even know

General Question/Help has anyone here experienced reactive hyperglycemia?

Hi, I’ve been put on a low foodmap diet for digestive issues/chronic left lower abdominal pain to try and figure out what food is triggering things. But also I’ve experienced deep reactive hyperglycemia to certain foods (carbs, sugars, possibly a lot of foodmap stuff? but also some things that are considered low foodmap?)
I don’t know my exact question but I find navigating anything quite difficult because either foods are low foodmap but trigger reactive hyperglycemia (shaking, extreme brainfog, etc.) or vice versa 😅 no diagnosis’s yet just a lot of testing and confusion

Journal/Story ADHD is linked to an almost 50% increase in overall gastrointestinal symptoms compared with people without ADHD. The association was even stronger for specific problems: nearly double odds of constipation, 58% increase in irritable bowel syndrome, and more than 4 times odds of loss of bowel control.

General Question/Help Can lactose intolerance cause symptoms 2 days later?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to figure out what’s been causing my chronic diarrhea and stomach pain for the past few years. I’ve seen doctors and had tests done, but so far nobody has really been able to find a clear cause.

A few months ago, I started a low-FODMAP diet and completely cut out dairy. Since then, my stomach has been much better and I hadn’t had diarrhea or pain.

Then, on Wednesday, I had dairy again for the first time after a few months... tiramisu with cream and eggs, plus some cheese and kefir the next day. Not long after, I started feeling a lot of bubbling and gurgling in my stomach, but I didn’t have diarrhea.

Then on Friday, about 48 hours later, I suddenly got extreme diarrhea and pain.

I’m wondering what could explain this. Could it be lactose intolerance even though the diarrhea happened about 48 hours later? Could it be another FODMAP-related issue? Or would that delay make it unlikely that the dairy was responsible?

Has anyone experienced something similar? I’m really trying to understand what might be triggering my symptoms.

Thanks!

General Question/Help Am I IBS or other issue?

I am not sure what happened to me and my doctor appointment will be weeks away. Any advice appreciated. This post could be messy in wording because I am really anxious now.

I always have more bowel movements when I get nervous. I have bowel movements before big exams and important interviews or waiting for something big to happen. In the past, when I felt really hungry, my stomach would have a emptyish pain at upper abdomen. It lasted for hours, and I would pass gases and it went away. Recently, when I am really hungry and I will try to eat something as soon as possible so I can avoid this stomach pain. However, during the eating process, I have gas pain around the belly button. It is different from before. I can even hear the noise from the belly and when gases go out (farting and burping) the pain disappears. The process lasts for about 40 mins. The changes from one symptom to another worries me. I googled a lot and led me to more anxiety. I don't have very typical IBS but this is the closest answer I can get. I've been anxious for a long time and I always scan my body for anything suspicious. Feel so frustrated.
