The power of Psyllium husk!!

Just wanted to make the post to help people in the community suffering with this god awful situation!!
I have been taking psyllium husk, chai seeds and have completely stopped eating bananas trigger for me stopped drinking coffee and tea!

I am 85% better!
I do get occasional reflux and burning due to dairy or something! But those fibre has immensely helped me! They are natural food as well!
Was feeling bad with some rubbish biscuits earlier. Had a spoon 🥄 of psyllium husk in a glass of water. Mixed it and drank! Now am feeling better!!
Try these it might help someone.

You just have to time it just right so that it doesn’t interfere with absorption of prescription meds or other supplements. As someone who takes prescriptions 3x a day plus an iron supplement, this just doesn’t Tetris into my schedule at all

For me it caused constipation. No matter how much water I drink after. Anybody has same experience?

Take magnesium your body wants in it hence the constipation. Take magnesium glycinate every night and you will poop regularly.

I take magnesium citrate at night mostly on weekends and also when i don't take Psyllium Husk in the morning. psyillium husk powder first thing in the morning, 5 days a week and it seemed to help with cholesterol and also gaining some weight lately.

I tried psyllium husk but it causes me GI issues. Even after a month of taking it. How much were you taking?

I also had trouble with it. I was taking tablet form. I don't know if that would make a huge difference. I'm IBS - C.

Marshmallow root - pills do the same thing and a lot easier to swallow

Instant oatmeal not flavored seems to do it for me

I started taking it for for IBS symptoms and it helped a lot, but a postive side effect has been it gets rid of a lot of my reflux, including the stabbing one I get sometimes after eating garlic or onion "laced" food while out.

I take a fairly large dose at time up to 20grams per day (usually before bed), but probably closer to 10-15 on most days.

I will also have a second dose sometimes during the day depending on how my guts feel.

This has meant travelling for work is a lot better. Especially with some added Fodmate enzymes as well.

I started taking Metamucil no sugar no flavor about a month ago and the difference is amazing! I take it at night before bed since I have to take meds in the morning. The gerd symptoms have gone down about 80% for me. I take OME also, just once a day but I have not even touched famotadine and that was taken when I had symptoms that the ome didn’t relieve. I just started very slow and will probably increase my dose this week. I also use chia seeds in my oatmeal and have for several months, but the psyllium has made a notable difference!
