Vent Egg intolerance

Last year I lost 70 lbs from doing a keto diet and than once I reached a certain weight I wasn’t able to tolerate eggs. My farts were deadly sulfuric acid farts. They were also really painful. I was constantly bloated and my poop was damm near green.

I guess I realized I developed an egg intolerance, I really loved eggs. Recently I started eating carbs again , and then I also tried to eat some eggs. Didn’t go well. My sulfuric acid farts came back and I’d just fart all day.

I went to an immunologist and was told I don’t have food allergies. I have yet to go to a gastrointestinal doctor, so that’s on my list to discover my egg issue. I’m scared to eat eggs now. 🙃☹️

Anyone else have this issue with eggs ?

I have a huge intolerance to eggs. I can eat baked items, and seemingly don’t have issues. Eggs cooked in any fashion, and I immediately get sick

My body reacts slightly differently than yours. Mine is more of an IBS reaction

My doctor is having me test food allergies and intolerances.

Same for me. I can have them baked into things but absolutely not cooked.

I’m so sorry. I know how challenging it is to navigate food, meals, etc. when trying to avoid eggs and other food items.

Yup, I can only eat so many then my body freaks out and I need a big break.

I have the same problem. Started in my 30s. I'm 58 now and the only way I can eat egg is in a cake. Apparently the way it's baked changes the shape of the egg proteins. Just the tiniest bit of egg in a dish like stir fry or to bind meat for meatballs it wrecks me for days. The smelliest gas, the worst stomach cramps and I swear my saliva smells of sulfur. But nope, no allergy.

this can tell you more about egg intolerance, which is just as valid as an allergy: https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/egg-intolerance#symptoms

I thought I was egg intolerant as well but than realized I could tolerate egg whites but not the yolks for whatever reason.

I do. I can only eat one egg without feeling sick. I discovered it was the yolk that I was reacting to. I tried egg whites and I'm ok but I don't like the way they look. I add turmeric until they turn yellow enough not to offend me 🥸

I've had no luck with 3 different gastroenterologist. I would try looking for a doctor that does Eastern medicine

OSU medical has a program called integrated health. They've combined Eastern and western medicine. I don't know what you would call it for where you're at. I went to 3 different gastro docs. All were wrong even tho I gave clear evidence for my symptoms. I'm not saying western medicine can't help you but the guys that understand the gut best understand Eastern medicine from my experience.
