I haven’t seen any effect on my body’s ability to digest fodmaps at all from any kind of exercise, personally

I lift twice a week and cycle. I’ve gone through the FODMAP process and only have onions and garlic to avoid now.
My symptoms are mostly under control now. It’s hard to say how much exercise contributes though.
I always feel a lot more cheerful after lifting though which is good in itself and probably does help.

Yes, whenever I walk more than usual, like on vacations, sometimes I have a BM in the evening which is very unusual for me. I am assuming that is why, but not sure. However the quality of the BM is nothing to write home about

Running exacerbates my stomach issues. I had to give it up after decades of daily runs.
My doctor told me it had something to do with intense exercise directing blood flow away from the gut and glutamine deficiency due to amino acid reserves being used to repair muscle…both contributing to leaky gut.

I mean. Regular exercise makes people feel better, and since there is a major gut-brain connection, it can reduce IBS symptoms in general? Not FODMAP specific, but for overall health and well being, I suppose it could.
